The Continental - SDCC Panel Summary

The Continental: From the World of John Wick was one of the few shows that didn't have a cancelled panel for 2023's San Diego Comic Con. It's the only Ballroom 20 or Hall H panel to fill up thus far.

The panel featured: Albert Hughes, Director of "Night One" (101) and "Night Three" (103); Marshall Persinger, Producer; Larnell Stovall, Action Director; Drew Boughton, Production Designer; and Ron Rosen, Editor.

During the panel, four clips were shown, outlining the action and cinematography
we had to look forward to. We met Winston Scott (Colin Woodell), Charon (Ayomide Adegun), Cormac (Mel Gibson), and some other unique characters. The first clip featured an intense fight scene in a stairwell, with the second giving us a taste into Cormac, Mel Gibson's character. The third clip went back to some fighting, with one character really rocking a 70s-accurate hairdo. The final clip had Charon deciding where his loyalties lay.

Audiences were told that they can look forward to era-appropriate soundtracks (Black Sabbath, here we come!), vintage feeling to the footage (old lenses were used; modern lenses are too sharp), and a sadistic but charismatic Mel Gibson. We were teased that "there's going to be one fight scene that will be talked about for a while".

The Continental: From the World of John Wick will have 3 episodes in total, with a potential for a Season 2. The episodes are titled "Night One", "Night Two", and "Night Three"; releasing on Peacock September 22nd, September 29th, and October 6th, respectively.
