Veronica Mars - Season 4 - Ken Marino Returning

Ken Marino (The Other Two, Wet Hot American Summer, Fresh Off the Boat) is returning to reprise his role of Vinnie Van Lowe for the upcoming eight-episode limited series revival of Veronica Mars on Hulu per Rob Thomas on Twitter.

Spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town's lifeblood tourist industry. After Mars Investigations is hired by the parents of one of the victims to find their son's killer, Veronica is drawn into an epic eight-episode mystery that pits the enclave's wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast's answer to Daytona Beach.

Marino also confirmed his return to TV Guide whilst promoting his latest show at TCA's, Comedy Central's The Other Two.

The Wrap is reporting that Marino is set to return for three episodes.

"Rob Thomas and I were talking about [The Other Two] and how much he likes this show, and I asked him, 'If you love it so much would you promote it,' and he was like, 'Absolutely.' So he put it out there and somebody asked him and he said that I am in it. So I think I can say I am in it. I hope so, I hope I'm not getting myself in trouble, but he said it on Twitter so — if it's on Twitter, it's out there. I might be showing up — cannot confirm or deny."

Additionally, for anyone curious, at the Hulu portion of the TCA's, Hulu's Senior Vice President of Originals, Craig Erwich, told The Wrap that the 8-episode revival has a proper end so if they don't come back for another installment fans will be satisfied but the potential for another season is always there.

"We’d be totally open to that," Erwich said to TheWrap. "We've ordered eight episodes," he said, which has "a proper, satisfactory narrative ending." However, Erwich said, should creator Rob Thomas and "the creative come together for Season 2 and should people like it as much as we like it, totally open to that."

"I think on Veronica Mars, Rob Thomas, who is the steward of the franchise, has really thread the needle from what I've read of the show and the scripts are excellent, is very true to the character and the world and the tone of the show, which is what made people fall in love with the show — but it is definitely an update," Erwich said Monday at TCA. "She is not a little girl anymore. You'll see her dealing with contemporary issues in a contemporary world."
