The Fosters - Chasing Waterfalls - Review + POLL

This week on The Fosters:
Mariana is trying to help Logan get his girlfriend back, and I honestly don't know what is going on with Mariana right now because on the one hand it looks as if she's just doing it to try and get closer to Logan because she likes him, but on the other hand, she seems to really want to help him so I'm not sure what's going through her head most of the time. Logan's girlfriend accepts his apology but later message Mariana and says that she knows what she's up to and to stay away from her man. Oh, boy, I have a feeling that this is going to cause quite the drama.

Callie is struggling because she got a lot of negative critic about her self-portrait from her art classmates so she spends most of the episode with Aaron on a beautiful hike. Honestly, I loved the scenery and the visuals we got from their hike cause I feel like we usually don't get that with the Fosters so it was a nice change to see some beautiful scenery while we got some deep and meaningful conversations between Aaron and Callie.

Jude starts this episode with an almost break-up scene with Noah but he manages to fix it before Noah breaks up with him. Then Jude spends most of this episode struggling with balancing his time between his best friend Taylor and boyfriend Noah. Luckily for him, he got his grandmother there to negotiate a reasonable schedule and that scene just cracked me up so much.

Brandon has a heart to heart with Courtney in this episode and I think they both really manage to let each other go after this scene which I think was important because it was something that needed to happen, and they both realised that they just wanted the other to be happy. I also really like Brandon with Grace so I'm glad that Courtney won't be in the way of that anymore but I'm sure Grace and Brandon will still have some struggles in the coming episodes.

Stewart and Dana (Lenas parents) are back in town which causes some tension because Stef wants to get Stewarts name off the title of their house. As the episode goes on we notice that Stewart has trouble with his memory and we find out from Dana that it's been going on for about a year now. Honestly, this broke my heart because I've lived through this with my granddad and any type of decease that affects the memory is just truly heartbreaking.

Favourite character:
Callie has always been one of my favourite characters on the Fosters even though I do not agree with a lot of her decisions but I really do feel like she's grown so much in the last episodes since Stef told her to start valuing her own life. What I loved about her in this episode was that she recognised the fact that she's not sure who she is and that's okay. I just think that's such a strong and important message for a lot of viewers watching this show because it's hard to figure out who you are and who you want to be, and Callie showed everyone in this episode that it is okay to not be sure of who you are or who you want to be. I feel like this was especially important since a lot of the viewers are in their teenage years/twenties and that's usually when you're struggling the most when it comes to figuring out who you are as a person.

Best/Favourite scene:
The scene with Lena and her dad towards the end of the episode. I just thought it was so powerful and beautiful especially the speech that Stewart gave. He talked about how his love for her has never changed, not one bit, not when she came out to him or any other time. Lena also tells him thanks for being such a good dad and I just think it was such a nice and honest father-daughter moment. I've always had such a soft spot for father-daughter relationships since my dad is such an important part of my life so I just really loved that scene.

Best quote:

Stewart to Lena: "I should have said I'm very proud that you know who you are and I can't wait to meet the person you decide to share your life with"

Callie to her art class: "The truth is that I don't know who I am, but I'm okay with that"
