    -Ratings Breakdown:
Note: TBS aired Game 3 of the National League Championship Series between the New York Mets and the Chicago Cubs.

It was another easy Tuesday overnight victory for CBS thanks to “NCIS” (#1 for the evening: 10.6 rating/17 share) and second spin-off “NCIS: New Orleans” (8.1/13) from 8-10 p.m. Episode five of new Eye net drama “Limitless” scored a second-place 5.1/ 9 at 10 p.m., which was one-tenth of a rating point (or two percent) below competing “Chicago Fire” on NBC (5.2/ 9). One year earlier, former Tuesday 10 p.m. time period occupant “Person of Interest” was stronger at a 6.0/10, but an additional episode order is in the cards for “Limitless.”

Earlier in the evening on NBC was live “Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris” at a third-place 3.2/ 5 at 8 p.m. into a rock-solid 7.2/11 for “The Voice” from 9-10 p.m. “The Voice” will finish first for the evening in adults 18-49 and should be strong enough to potentially lead NBC to victory for the night in all the key demos.

On ABC, annual holiday special “The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” finished second with a 3.7/ 6 in the 8 p.m. half-hour, which was 19 percent above “The Muppets” one week earlier (3.1/ 5 on Oct. 13). Next was an encore telecast of animated “Toy Show of TERROR” (#3, 2.9/ 5 at 8:30 p.m.), followed by “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” (#3: 2.6/ 4) and a repeat of “Shark Tank” (#3: 2.0/ 3) from 9-11 p.m. As always, there is every reason to believe “Charlie Brown” will resonate in the key demos.

Elsewhere, Fox on paper looked miniscule with its combination of sitcoms “Grandfathered” (#5: 2.5/ 4) and “The Grinder” (#4: 2.2/ 3), which each just received an order for six additional scripts, and “Scream Queens” (#4: 1.8/ 3), which is a magnet in social media and the definition of what could be the new form of a hit.

The CW capped off the evening with its combination of “The Flash” (#4t, 2.5/ 4) and ‘iZombie” (#5: 1.0/ 1), which at 9 p.m. was 33 percent below year-ago occupant “Supernatural” (1.5/ 2 on 10/21/14).
