    Ratings Breakdown:
CBS scored an easy Tuesday overnight victory, besting No. 2 ABC by a considerable 71 percent. And top-rated for the evening, as always, was powerhouse “NCIS” on the eye net at a 9.2 rating/15 share in households at 8 p.m. That led into dominant overnights for spin-off “NCIS: New Orleans” (8.5/13) and the season-finale of “Person of Interest” (5.2/ 9) from 9-11 p.m. But competing “Chicago Fire” (#2: 4.6/ 8) is expected to win the 10 p.m. hour among adults 18-49 (and “Person of Interest” is unlikely to remain on Tuesday if it returns next season).

ABC got a boost in the 8 p.m. hour care of the one-hour live “Dancing With the Stars” Results Show, which finished second with a 7.5/12 in the overnights. And that led into demo friendly “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” at a distant second-place 3.2/ 5 from 9-10 p.m., followed by the season (or series) finale of “Forever” at a 2.9/ 5 at 10 p.m. With “Secrets & Lies” the more likely freshman drama candidate to return on ABC next season, odds of a second season of “Forever” are 50-50 at best.

On NBC, the live one-hour episode of sitcom “Undateable” did not impress at a third-place 2.8/ 5 from 9-10 p.m., which is likely to only average about a 1.2-1.3 rating in adults 18-49. Comparably, overnight retention for “Undateable” out of the 8:30 p.m. portion of “The Voice” (6.2/10) was only 45 percent. But, with NBC in dire need of new hit comedies, expect the network to exhibit patience by ordering a third season on “Undateable.”

Overall, “The Voice” was on the overnight map with a 6.1/10 from 8-9 p.m., which trailed competing “Dancing With the Stars” on ABC by 19 percent (but will hold a solid advantage in the key demos).

In season-finale news, Fox’s tired “New Girl” concluded season three with a modest 1.6/ 2 (#4) in the 9 p.m. half-hour. And that led into a mere 1.0/ 2 (#5) in what has to be the series-finale of freshman sitcom dud “Weird Loners” at 9:30 p.m. “Hell’s Kitchen” opened the night for Fox with a now typically unimpressive 2.5/ 4 (#5) from 8-9 p.m.

The CW capped off the night with freshman success “The Flash” at a fourth-place 2.7/ 5 from 8-9 p.m. And recent entry “iZombie” followed with a 1.2/ 2 from 9-10 p.m., which was flat from one week earlier (and that translated into a 0.7/ 2 in adults 18-49, based on the Live + Same Day data).
