DEADPOOL
Nicknamed the "Merc with a Mouth", Deadpool is a high-tech mercenary known for his wisecracks, black comedy, and satirical pop-culture references. Like the X-Men's Wolverine, Deadpool is the product of the Canadian government's paramilitary Weapon X program, although his place of birth is unknown. After Weapon X cured his terminal cancer by implementing a regenerative "healing factor" extracted from Wolverine, Deadpool is left disfigured and mentally unstable.

SUICIDE SQUAD
Concentrates on a group of incarcerated supervillains rather than the usual focus on superheroes. The storyline will feature a mix of well-known and unknown villains recruited by the government to accomplish a task deemed too dangerous for superheroes. Lead by Rick Flagg (Gyllenhaal), the group of villains includes Deadshot (Smith), Joker (Leto), and Harley Quinn (Robbie), plus Boomerang (Courtney) and Enchantress (Delevigne). The team is tasked on a mission to prevent 'bio weaponry' from being sold to Lex Luthor by a human trafficking gang. The gang is handing over the Enchantress to Luthor who it is implied wants her for magical abilities. They kidnap her and take her back to the prison where she is kept in an underground area, which has all sorts of genetic freaks imprisoned including a King Shark.

In the next planned storyline, billionaire Tony Stark is pitted against Captain America aka Steve Rogers in an ethical face-off over the U.S. government’s Superhuman Registration Act, which requires all super-powered individuals to register their powers and report to S.H.I.E.L.D.

A spinoff based on one of the villains from “Spider-Man 3”. In the comics, Venom is a gooey alien parasite that bonds with Peter Parker and later his newsroom rival, among other people, becoming one of more popular villains in "Spider-Man’s" rogue gallery.

90 MINUTES IN HEAVEN

MONOPOLY
The story follows a comedic, lovable loser who lives in Manhattan and works at a real estate company and he’s not very good at his job but he’s great at playing Monopoly. And the world record for playing is 70 straight days – over 1,600 hours – and he wanted to try to convince his friends to help him break that world record. They think he is crazy. They kid him about this girl and they're playing the game and there’s this big fight. And he’s holding a Chance card and after they’ve left he says, ‘Damn, I wanted to use that Chance card,’ and he throws it down. He falls asleep and then he wakes up in the morning and he’s holding the Chance card, and he thinks, ‘That’s odd.’ He’s all groggy and he goes down to buy some coffee and he reaches into his pocket and all he has is Monopoly money. All this Monopoly money pours out. He’s confused and embarrassed and the girl reaches across the counter and says, ‘That’s OK.’ And she gives him change in Monopoly money. He walks outside and he’s in this very vibrant place, Monopoly City, and he’s just come out of a Chance Shop. As it goes on, he takes on the evil Parker Brothers in the game of Monopoly. He has to defeat them. It tries to incorporate all the iconic imageries -- a sports car pulls up, there's someone on a horse, someone pushing a wheelbarrow -- and rich Uncle Pennybags, you're going to see him as the maître d' at the restaurant and he's the buggy driver and the local eccentric and the doorman at the opera. There’s all these sight gags.

PETE'S DRAGON
The new story is set against the backdrop of loggers cutting down a forest. Pete is a boy whose parents died in car crash, and has been subsequently raised by Elliot, the titular dragon in the threatened forest. Figuring into the proceedings are a forest ranger who finds the boy, the young daughter of the mill owner and the greedy brother of the mill owner. Filming will take place in Wellington, Wairarapa and Rotorua from January to April.
