Don't miss an all-new The Voice tonight at 10 PM ET/PT on NBC, after the premiere of America's Got Talent.

Toru pulls the Scythe out of Renee’s body and then we switch to Renee’s point of view and her inner monologue. She is angry at herself for falling to the ground, she is trying to will herself to stay standing but she is too weak. Xander runs towards her and we see behind him that the vampires are appearing from the fog. Toru’s witch glides towards Willow and they fly out of the window as the other vampires attack Buffy and the Slayers. Xander holds Renee as she thinks about how much she loves Xander, she is too weak to talk and wishes she had a chance to tell Xander how she felt, her final though and regret is that she never got to tell Xander how she felt.
Dracula and Buffy are fighting off the vampires and he tells her that he can stop these vampires but he needs her to go get Willow, Buffy tells him that she is not leaving Xander alone who is still cradling Renee’s now dead body. Dracula yells at Buffy and tells her that Xander is not alone and puts his vampire face on. He runs at a group of the vampires slashing them with his claws and beheading some of them with pure force. Buffy runs past Satsu and tells her that she is in command, Satsu asks where Buffy is going and she tells Satsu that she is going to bring back Willow as she looks out of the broken window to see Willow and Toru’s witch fighting in mid air far below.
The Asian witch introduces herself to Willow, her name is Kumiko. She tells Willow that she has been watching Willow’s ascension for quite some time.
She tells Willow that she is not the only student of Saga Vasuki and that they share a lot of the same magics, Willow grabs Kumiko’s head and forces herself into her mind. Willow sees the green snake woman who we saw a few issues ago which is presumably Saga Vasuki. Her voice speaks to Willow, she tells Willow that she has been looking for her and asks her why she would try to hide from her, from what she is and from what’s coming. Willow passes out while being strangled by Kumiko, Buffy closes her eyes and tries to convince herself it is just like jumping from a diving board and then jumps and falls towards Willow. Once again Buffy is seen falling from the sky. She lands on the two witches and stabs Kumiko through her back and throws her to one side as we seem to see her burn up in flames. Buffy and Willow are now hurtling towards the ground as Willow is still passed out, Buffy tries to wake her. Willow wakes up just in time and mutters a spell and both Willow and Buffy fall into the ground which is now deep water.
A team of Slayers on the ground are fighting the vampires and seem to be losing, one of the Slayers yells at the others that they need to retreat as she is beaten to the floor by a vampire, the vampire stands over her ready to kill her. Dawn’s giant foot comes down and crushes the vampire, Dawn tells the Slayers that they don’t run. Dawn helps kill the remaining vampires and points towards the building with the giant red ring, she tells the Slayers that that’s the building they want. Toru looks out from the building, he is watching Dawn and the Slayers, he tells someone on a phone that when she gets to the intersection they should deploy the counter measure. Dawn begins to tell the Slayers the plan when suddenly she is hit in the face, she looks around to see a giant mechanical Dawn that matches her size.
The head vampires are working on initiating the red ring and removing all of the Slayer's powers but they cannot get through to Kumiko, Toru tells them that it may take longer but he can also do the spell and begins reciting the spell to activate the power remover. Raidon asks one of the scientists what that noise is, he tells him that its simply the mechanics of the giant red ring, Raidon disagrees, it seems more like screaming rather than mechanics. Dracula Satsu and some other Slayers burst through the rooftop door with vampires being slain in front of them. Dracula charges at Toru knocking the Scythe out of his hands and stopping the spell. He tells Satsu to retrieve the Scythe which has been thrown through the air, she runs towards the vampires, jumps up and uses one of the vampires heads to jump even higher, she grabs the Scythe and suddenly realises that she has managed to jump off the edge of the building “oh hell” she says.
Willow and Buffy are draining the excess water from their hair when Willow looks up to see Satsu falling from the building, she asks if Satsu is her girlfriend which Buffy quickly denies. Willow tells her to be careful with her, she has to look out for her fellow lesbians. Willow also clarifies that she never wanted to sleep with Buffy so she is glad she didn’t try to experiment with her. In fact, Willow tells Buffy that she isn’t even on her ‘list’, Buffy is glad because Willow isn’t on hers either, its strictly for Judi Dench and then she struggles to find another name “… and Eleanor Roosevelt”. Buffy and Willow’s heads tilt to the side as they continue to watch Satsu fall form the building, “we should probably go catch Satsu now” Willow says, “yeah I was just thinking that” says Buffy with a straight face.
Willow flies up with Buffy on one arm and Satsu on the other. Satsu has her samurai sword ready and Buffy has been
reunited with her Scythe. They reach the top and return to the fight, which is still made difficult because the vampires keep turning into fog as they try to make a killing blow. Dracula throws his sword to Willow, he tells Willow that sword holds the power to all these vampires extra powers in the same way the Scythe holds the extra power wielded by the Slayers. He tells her to do the spell using his sword. Toru realises what Willow is doing too late and a white light showers the battle. Buffy yells out to all that can hear “scales are balanced again, they’re vampires, were vampire slayers time to do what we do!”.
Dawn and the Mecha-Dawn are fighting a little further away, Andrew is there helping Dawn. He tells her that she needs to decapitate the robot, the Mecha Dawn has been programmed with simple character instructions (much like the Buffybot) which allows Dawn to see how other people see her. “I like blue jeans and irony” it says aloud, Dawn gets up as it tells her “I cry a lot and let boys take advantage of my weak emotional states” Dawn denies that she has ever done that and manages to pull the head off of the robot in anger.
Dracula demands that Willow returns his sword, she throws it to him but Toru catches it instead. He pities Dracula and implies that Dracula’s sword is similar to an old man needing his walking stick to stand. Dracula lost his extra powers during the spell too and Toru asks Dracula how it feels to be a normal vampire again. In one swift move Dracula manages to distract Toru knock the sword from his hands and grab the sword himself. He tells Toru that he has never been an ordinary vampire, clearly Toru has forgotten his story, he tells Toru that he killed more men than God’s plagues combined and that was before he even became a vampire, he slices off Toru’s hand then his leg and then his other hand. He tells Toru that it isn’t the vampire side of him that he should be concerned about but the “old man” inside.
Toru looks up at Dracula and tells him to finish it then, to kill him properly, he tells Dracula that he at least owes him the honour of killing him rather than leaving him to die slowly. Dracula tells him that it is not his place to kill him and looks towards Xander and gives Xander the sword, Dracula then adds that Toru knows nothing about honour. Xander raises the sword and beheads Toru. One of the head Slayers talks to Buffy through her headset, she tells Buffy that the remaining vampires are running away. Buffy looks towards Xander who is still holding the sword “chase them” she tells the Slayer. “Seal off the streets. No prisoners. Cut them down as they flee” she tells her and she walks towards Xander, Xander drops the sword in both shock and grief. “Kill every single one of them” Buffy demands. She gets to Xander just as he falls to his knees he turns and hugs her, she places her hands on Xander’s head in comfort as the Slayers kill every remaining vampire.
It is now much later, perhaps even the next day. Xander is sat alone on a bench with Renee’s urn. Dracula walks towards him and asks if he would like assistance in his ceremony, Xander tells him that he would like to do it himself. Dracula’s ship will be leaving soon so Dracula tells him that this is goodbye for now. “Goodbye manservant” Dracula says to him, Xander stops him and tells him that he ever calls him that again he will kill him in his sleep. Dracula accepts, he prefers “minion” anyway, Xander tells him that will also result in his death. “How about houseboy?” Dracula asks jokingly. Satsu and Buffy are talking privately, Satsu has requested taking over Aiko's role as head Slayer in Tokyo, Buffy asks if it is because of Buffy and Satsu admits that it is partly due their indiscretion. Buffy tells Satsu that it is a hard job, the Tokyo Slayers are still grieving for Aiko, Buffy tells Satsu that she is perfect for the job. Buffy prepares to leave and asks her if this is goodbye, Satsu tells Buffy that it doesn't have to be goodbye just yet and they can spend the night together one last time. The issue ends on Dracula discussing with the captain of his boat the long night they have ahead of them which is dark and cold as we have corresponding images of the other characters which relate to Dracula's words. Satsu and Buffy are in the throes of passion, Willow is meditating and apparently contacting the green snake woman called Saga Vasuki as Xander spreads Renee's ashes alone.

Ratings News - 24th May 2011
This is it, the season finale. On Sunday I posted my recap for 6x21 'Let it Bleed,' and today I'm covering the second half of Friday's finale event, 'The Man Who Knew Too Much.' It's one of those awkward title situations where you have two episodes close together with practically the same name, as we just a week ago had 'The Man Who Would Be King'... like in Buffy when they had 'Enemies' and 'Earshot' right after each other, and 'Smashed' and 'Wrecked'... those last two always confused me cause it's like, the same thing!
See? This is why I divided the recaps. I ramble. This is of course about TMWKTM, which is a mouthful. I'm also pretty sure the title refers to Sam - see, all the king's horses, and all the king's men... Sam is broken, and a large chunk of this episode will explore his journey to put himself together again. And then there's the Cas thing... this should be good.
These recaps are also posted on Out of the Box, where I post all my other TV musings and speculations. Check it out! You know you'll be bored during the looong hiatus anyway. ;)

Carry On My Wayward Soooooon
Ah, here we go. So let's see what we had this season – Cas got Sam out of the cage, and had no soul for a year, in which he worked with Samuel and did some nasty crap. Dean found out Sam's alive, left theBraedens to hunt with him. They worked for Crowley to get Sam's soul back, which eventually happened, but thanks to Death. He put up a wall in Sam's head so he won't remember hell or the past year.
Dean and Sam hunted down Eve, the Mother of all Monsters, and killed her, but no before finding out Crowley, who they thought was killed by Cas, is alive and working with Cas. They're both searching for purgatory to get some souls, so Cas can be powerful enough to beat Raphael, and Crowley can…Just be more powerful, since he's now king of Hell. The brothers and Cas are now enemies. Think that covers it. Let's get this show on the road (So far)! Ok, lame puns ending now.
A Man With No Memory Walks Into A Bar…
We start with Sam running from the cops. Wait, what? Why is Sam running from the police? Was he caught red-handed stabbing a Shifter? Did Dean sneak into a Sorority and pin it on him? Did he get drunk, went to the Police station and started shouting they can't do their job right while egging the place?
As he runs, we see Castle Storage, AKA John's lock-up, in the background. That's weird, how did it get over there? He runs into a bar, and the bartender tells him they're closed. She sees the sirens and is about to beat it him up, but lets him stay when he tells her he doesn't remember anything.
Sam doesn’t remember jack squat, but knows that he needs to be somewhere, to stop something. He sees a book by H.P. Lovecraft (I don't go to bars much, but I find it kinda weird there are books at a bar) and has a flash of the events of last episode, including a new one, of a motel called Nite Owl (Might be my inner geek, but first thing that came to my mind when I saw this was the Watchmen character).
Castiel, You Monster (Killer)
He finds out the motel isn't far, and the nice bartender agrees to drive him there, even though he might be a rapist \ serial killer \ psycho \ all of the above. Sam says his room is "nearest to the fire escape", and they pass by someone in the corridor. Hey, isn't that…Oh, guess not. They use her credit card to unlock the door, where they find some hunter research on the wall. Sam sees a paper clipping about the missing Dr. Visyak, and has another blast from the past.
He, Dean and Bobby were supposed to meet Visyak, but find her fatally wounded, dying. She tells them Crowley and Cas tortured her about how to open purgatory, and she told them everything. They need the blood of a virgin and of a purgatory native, both of which they have and to wait for the lunar eclipse, which is on the following day. Cas appears, and asks them again to stand down, and again, they refuse. So Cas goes to dras tic measures, and breaks down the Great Wall of Sam.
Sam snaps back, and says he knows his name. He also heard Bobby's, so he looks up his address and finds it. He and the bartender go out, where the Impala is parked, and are about to part ways when they are almost shot. Wait, the Impala's just waiting there? Now this looks really weird. And if that's not enough, the guy who tried to kill them was…Sam?
A Sam Within a Sam? Samception!
OK, first of all – CALLED IT. Somehow, I knew Sam would end up in the panic room. And there you have it. It appears that after Cas broke the wall, Sam went into a coma, meaning all of the events we've seen so far, except the flashbacks, are happening inside his head. Dean and Bobby are clueless about how to help him, so they decide to try and find Cas.
Meanwhile, back in Sam's head, he and the bar lady are driving at night, away from the evil Sam who almost killed them. In the real world, Dean flashes a light in Sam's eye, and suddenly…It's day in Samville! Sam stops the car, and decides to go and investigate the area (I didn't really get why. Maybe the sudden light change).
I Am Sam
Sam goes into the forest, but gets a surprise pistol whip from…Soul-less Sam! I missed this guy. If last episode showed us Jensen's great acting skills, this one reminds us that Jared is also awesome. I love it when an actor plays two polar opposite characters. Take Tom Welling in Smallville, for example. It's amazing to see Jared completely change the character each shot. Anyway, Soul-less Sam makes Sam realize he's dreaming.
"Your BFF Cas brought the hell wall tumbling down, and you, pathetic infant that you are, shattered into pieces. Piece…Piece." (Raises gun - "Piece". Ok, that didn't happen :P ).
Soul-less Sam tells him, basically, that "There can only be one". Sam flees for his life, while evil Sam tries to shoot him down (For a guy with no soul who's been loose for a year, he's kind of a lousy shot). He then sees Sam's jacket and shoots it, thinking he killed him, but then…
Goodbye, soul-less Sam. For real this time. But he doesn't die without some dying words.
"You think I'm bad? Wait till you meet the other one."
A Sam worse than Soul-less Sam? That sounds plain scary. Soul-less Sam dies, and Sam absorbs his memories of the year he wandered around with no soul. This causes coma Sam (Seriously, how can you keep up with all of them?) to spaz, which scares Dean.
"There Goes Your Leverage"
Sam returns to the bar lady…Who is actually not real! (Well, of course she wasn't real, it's a dream, but she isn't real-real…You know what I mean!). Apparently Soul-less Sam shot her point blank when some monster guy tried to use her as a human shield. Oops.
"I'm sorry…I'm so sorry."
-"Not as sorry as you're gonna be."
Wow, all the people in his dream are creepy as hell.
In the real world…Balthazar's back! He gives Dean and Bobby the location of Cas and Crowley (Bootbock, Kansas? That can't possibly be a real place… Can it?) But says he can't zap them there, since he's already in danger for betraying Cas.
MEANWHILE IN THE LEGION OF DOOM!
Sorry, in Cas and Crowley's hideout, Cas says he did some thinking about their arrangement, and decided to leave Crowley out of the deal. Crowley claims, truthfully, that the whole thing was his idea, but Cas is stubborn.
"You think I'm handing all that power to the king of hell? I'm neither stupid nor wicked."
WRONG. Oh, Cas, you are so wicked! You're being pure wickedness right now. Cas then gives Crowley two choices – "Flee or die". I think this is the point where Cas turns from a douchebag to truly evil. And it only gets worse from here…
Please Tell Me Those Are Sunburns…
Back in dreamland, Sam reaches Bobby's house and finds…Another Sam!
"I'm the one that remembers hell." That's also why you probably look like hell.
Again, Jared superbly plays two roles. Hell-Sam begs Sam to stay in dreamland, to find Jesse and live there happily ever after (This reminded me of What is And What Should Never Be, when all of Dean's family asks him to stay). He says he knows him, that he's too weak and the memories of hell will destroy him (But didn't they already? I mean, that's why he's there, isn't it?). But Sam also says he knows himself, and he must return to help Dean and Bobby, no matter what. So Hell-Sam lets him kill him, and he absorbs the memories from the cage.
Another One Bites The Dust
Meanwhile, Cas informs Balthazar that Dean is on his trail, so there must be a traitor among them. Balthazar, like always, is transparent like a glass door.
"Ah…Holy hell. Who is it? It's that bloody Cherub, isn't it?"
A.Yay for Cupid reference. B. Come on, Balthy. All angels are freakin' glass doors! Cas is obviously onto you, either fight him or get the hell outta there! But little, old Balthy can't read Cas, and pays for it dearly.
NOOOOOO! WHY MUST THE GOOD DIE YOUNG?! There goes my 2nd favorite angel. Goodbye, Balthazar. I hope to see you again one day, somehow. And Cas is getting more and more evil…
Bobby and Dean scout Cas's hideout, when Crowley swoops in, in the form of a demon cloud, and flips over the Impala while they're in it. Wait…The Impala.Flipped.OVER? You DO NOT damage the Metalicar! There are a lot of lines being crossed in the last few scenes, and I won't have it!
The Demon's Revenge
Crowley appears and tells Cas it's time to "re-renegotiate" the terms of their deal. Cas poofs behind him (Really? You could've just stepped forward, he knows you're there…What did you gain with that?) and puts a hand on him…It's not very effective.
"Sweaty hands, mate." Ha.
Apparently, Crowley is smiting-proof 'cause he's now working with…Chick Raphael! And then Cas says what's probably his dumbest line ever:
"You fool. Raphael will deceive and destroy you at the speed of thought."
Riiiiiiiiiiiight. 'Cause you didn't try anything even remotely like that just now, did you, Cas? Nah, that's not you. You stick to your words. I think this is the first time Crowley is against the boys, but I'm rooting for him. Someone needs to give Cas a good ass-whooping.
Raphael says she \ he promised Crowley immunity, in exchange for their monster blood. Raphael says that only he \ she (\ it?) can be the new God. Wow. A black woman was never president, but now wants to be God. Go figure. (Again, I'm saying all in a humorous spirit. No racism \ Chauvinism intended.) Now it's Crowley's turn to give Cas choices.
"Flee…Or die."
OH SNAP.
Uh Oh…
Crowley and Raph start chanting the spell, while Dean and Bobby regain consciousness. They sneak in and try to assassinate Raph, but she has angel instincts, and Crowley sends the boys flying. (When Bobby fell down the stairs, I feared for a second he'll become cripple again. But he didn't. PHEW). Crowley finishes the spell…And nothing happens! Cas shows up and tells them he switched the bloods, and did the ritual himself.
"You can't imagine what it's like. They're all inside me. Millions upon Millions of souls."
-"Sounds sexy."
Gotta love Crowley's comebacks. The king of hell poofs out, but Raphael doesn't (Cas is probably blocking his poofing abilities). He snaps his fingers, and paints the wall with Raph's internal organs.
OMFG
Dean asks Cas to take the souls out of him, but it's too late. He's gone mad with power. But Dean's always been stubborn, and begs Cas.
"We were family once. I would've died for you. Almost did a few times."
-"You're just saying that because I won."
Ok, this is a very serious, intense scene, but I couldn't help from laughing out loud at this response. Dean always called Cas a child, and this proves he is. That is such a 4-year-old thing to say. And the way he said it…Like Dean just said Cas was cheating after losing in a board game.
"You're not my family, Dean. I have no family."
A second later, Sam literally stabs him in the back. Hooray for family. But Cas can't be killed with an angel-killing sword.
"Because I'm not an angel anymore. I'm your new God. A better one. So you will bow down, and profess your love onto me, your lord…Or I shall destroy you."
DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
THE END
HO-LY FREA-KIN' CRAAAAAAAAAAAP. Wh…What? Why? How?!
*Slaps self*
OK, Sorry about that. But seriously, what the #@$?! First of all, I don't think Cas is God-God. 'Cause there already is a God. Speaking of which, doesn't he have a say in all this? I mean, maybe he can ignore the apocalypse, but someone steals your title and you're just gonna sit there?
So although there are many questions now and this is a major cliffhanger, I'm not tearing my hair out or anything.
But still, this episode was a fantastic way to end the season, and I give it 10 pieces of Sam out of 10.
Before a quick season review, I just wanna point out something that bugged me. A few weeks ago, it was posted here that Chuck will return. And that kinda didn't happen. I'm not blaming anyone for posting a false spoiler, I mean, whoever posted it must have had a reason, but…What happened?
Now, about the season. It started off in a Meh-ish tone. The premiere was pretty bad, IMO, and the following 2 episodes were no improvement. Then there were 3 great episodes – Jensen's directional debut, "Weekend at Bobby's", was fantastic. I'm now eagerly waiting for the 2nd episode of season 7, which he will also direct. Episode 5 had a good mix of humor, in the form of Twilight jabs, and action. And the moment we realized something's wrong with Sam. Episode 6, with the people telling the truth, was also great. I loved the tension between the brothers. I know a lot of people liked Family Matters, but I didn't find it that big of a deal. Sure, it was a good episode, but not a season highlight.
Then came episode 8…Sigh. One of, if not the, worst episodes of the season. It had no point, other than to show Crowley was controlling Sam's fate. But then the show went back on track. The Fairy episode had some good comedy from both Jensen and Jared, and was overall funny. "Caged Heat" was intense and had some nice twists (And the priceless scene of Cas watching porn). And then the pre-hellatius episode, Appointment in Samarra, which is one of the best episodes of the season, if not the series. A brilliant episode, start to finish.
The return from Hellatius was great. We had the Rock back, Sam had his soul back, and show felt just like old times. "Unforgiven" was also good (Though I've seen a lot of bad reviews about it, which I don't understand). But then the show crashed again with Mannequin. Not only were Lisa and Ben there, the episode was overall pretty boring. The only nice part of it was the scene Dean was chased by the Impala.
But then it picked up the pace back big time. "The French Mistake" is without doubt a series classic, and probably one of the best Meta episodes ever made. "And Then There Were None" was great, fast-paced, killed off Campbells like flies, and had Rufus ("If anything crawls outta anybody, somebody step on it"). "My Heart Will Go On" was funny, touching, and overall terrific.
This great streak continued with the boys going to the Wild West, the surprising death of Eve and the rise of Crowley, and the whole season re-told from Cas's point of view. I gave my 2 cents about episode 21 Two days ago, so go and read it if you want my opinion on it.
Overall season rating – 8 Jefferson Starships out of 10.

The first part of the big finale event, 'Let it Bleed,' really set up what I can only imagine will be one hell of a shindig - but I'll keep this recap about THIS episode specifically, partially because of pacing and partially because... I haven't watched 6x22 yet. See, I went away this weekend and only got back now, Sunday night. Having to get up early tomorrow, I compromised with myself (because I couldn't wait!) and decided to watch and review an episode today, and one tomorrow. And like a reader suggested in the comments, I could keep the two recaps separate. We know how much I love to ramble on, and this could easily turn into a novel-length read! So enjoy this recap, I hope I picked up on some things you might have overlooked (and feel free to return the favour and point out whatever I missed in the comments), and that I provided commentary on some of the things you were thinking, too.
The recap of the season finale, 'The Man Who Knew Too Much' will appear here tomorrow, so watch out for that!
These recaps are also posted on my TV blog, Out of the Box. Also check out Hypable for more Supernatural content by me - I cover SPN, The Vampire Diaries and Fringe over there.

Hello again, Fellow Hunters. This is it. The money time. After 8 months of Monsters, Angels, Demons, Families, Saving people and Hunting things, we're ending another season of our beloved Supernatural. And we're ending it with a double-dose of our favorite hunters on TV! So in order not to mix things up, and since every episode focuses on different things, I'll recap each one on its own. So, without further ado, let the recapping begin! Carry on my wayward sooooon… Oh, right, double-feature, not yet. Lisa and Ben in the "Then"? No, no, no! Ah, who am I kidding, I knew this was coming. But why? I mean, OK, they didn't have the best send-off in "Mannequin", but that entire episode wasn't that great, and I never liked them anyway! Couldn't they just leave it at that? Apparently not…*Sigh*. Other than that, we got Cas-gone-evil, yadda yadda yadda. Wait… Dragon lady? What's she doing here? Are there more And Now…Oh wait, still Then. As in, we're seeing some event from 1937. A guy's typing a book, when horror movie 101 begins – Strom outside, Door opens with a creek, guy says "Hello?"…And then the window explodes. And something gets in. The guy gets viciously murdered, but not before he trips over his papers, and we learn he is one H.P. Lovecraft. They're Heeeeere 74 years later, Dean, Sam and Bobby try to figure out how to stop Cas & Crowley from opening purgatory. They find out there's information in one of the Campbell journals…But Cas stole it! Ok, Cas, that's it. T eaming up with a demon to open a door to Monsterland is one thing, but stealing? That's the red line, pal. Anyway, Bobby, that paranoid bastard, made a copy of said journal, and they find out Lovecraft might have had something to do with purgatory, since his favorite writing subject was opening doors to other dimensions. Hmmm, sounds familiar. But the name doesn't ring a single bell for Dean. "Yeah, no, I was too busy having sex with women." Oh, Dean… But seriously, time out for a sec. I'm also a horror fan. I've read lots of stuff, from Goosebumps to Stephen King. Maybe it's 'cause I grew up in Israel, but I've never heard of H.P. Lovecraft. I've heard about Cthulhu and all that stuff, but this is the first time I ever hear that name. Oh, no. It's them. Already? Fine…Lisa is at her house with Dr. Matt (I wanna say he doesn't look very Doctor-ish, but that might sound racist, which I am not and have no intention to sound like one, so we'll just skip this part). Suddenly, demons break in, kill the Doc, and grab Lisa. Ben does what he always does- Calls the Dean Hotline. Now, after the little trick Ben pulled on "Mannequin", I figured Dean might think he's crying Wolf at first, but he's not taking any chances. Ben gets taken too, and apparently the mastermind behind this is…Crowley! Those Damn Angels Since Cas went dark-side, the boys decide to call the only friendly angel they have left – Balthazar. They tell him about the deal Cas & Crowley made, which apparently he didn't know about. But he still doesn't care about it: "And I care about this because..?" -"Because maybe there's a shred of decency underneath this snarky crap" *Drinks from a fancy glass* I love this guy. He says Dean's request is "fair enough"…But then goes POOF. Sam suggests calling Cas, but Dean refuses. Funny, just last week it was them who doubted Cas, and Dean insisting on calling him. Meanwhile, Bobby (I love these episodes when he's actually out there helping the boys, and not sitting in house all grumpy, manning the phones) goes to question one of Lovecraft's fans. He tells him that on March 10th, 1937, Lovecraft had a "Opening-a-door-to-purgatory" party, but nothing came through. (Wait, so what we saw at the beginning of the episode was the after-party? You open a door to another dimension, and then sit and write a book? Yup, he sure was one dope dude…). Anyway, he wants to give Bobby letters about said party, but they've been stolen, probably by Mr. "Trench coat, looks like Colombo Toxic Rain Man". Since Balthazar isn't in a helpful mood, Dean tries the other way to find Crowley – Torturing demons. Sam tries to talk some sense into him, but Dean growls at him, saying it's his responsibility to rescue Lisa and Ben. Sam leaves, and although Dean refused, tries to call Cas. Who is there, but on Invisible mode. Demons And Angels Cas, who apparently just learned about Lisa and Ben, goes to Crowley and demands their release. But Crowley tells him not hurting the boys is as good as he'll get. "You're maxed out on putting humans out of bounds". Cas looks like he's about to continue arguing, when he gets his telekinetic divine Bat-signal. He beams up to heaven, to have a chat with Balthazar. Apparently, Cas's plan to win the war is get juiced-up with souls from purgatory, so he'll have enough power to turn Raphael into angel soup. Balthazar doesn't look like he trusts Cas completely, but tells him he's with him. Bobby goes to see the only survivor of Lovecraft's party from hell – The son of the maid who worked at Lovecraft's house. The man, now 83 years old, tells Bobby the ritual did work. But no one knew about it, because whatever came through was invisible. But he knew about it, since the thing apparently possessed his mother, and she disappeared. He hands Bobby a photo of her, and we don't see it, but Bobby's got a "It's someone we know" look on his face. Judging by the people we saw in the "Previously", anyone got any guesses? I Kissed A Monster, And I Liked It Dean is still interrogating demons, when he accidentally breaks the Devil's Trap, and the demon starts choking him. (See, this is why you don't growl Sam away, Dean). But he's still rescued…By Cas! He tries to justify his actions again, and tells Dean he will save Ben and Lisa, if he will stand down from hunting Crowley, but Dean, of course, refuses. Bobby goes to visit Lovecraft's maid-turned-monster, who turns out to be…Dragon lady! Each of you who guessed right, send me your info and I'll mail you a salt shell. Apparently, this monster didn't take any side, and just liked living on earth. "You never thought to mention that the whole time you slept with me?" Sure, Bobby, why wouldn't she? "That was great, Bobby…Oh, by the way, I'm a 900-year old monster from purgatory." Yeah, why she didn't mention that is indeed a mystery. OK, no more sarcasm, back to recap. Bobby wants to help Dragon lady, Since C2 will try to find her to reach purgatory. But she tells him she's better on her own. "You're just a man." OK, first Cas, now her…Seriously, what's up with this arrogance crap? So maybe you're angels and monsters and all, but these "just men" killed a whole bunch of, including some big fish, and stopped the freakin' apocalypse! So far, Crowley truly is the smartest piece on the board. The British Invasion Back at Bobby's, Sam's having a drink when Balthazar shows up. "I'm officially on your team…You bastards." Yay! They got angel on their side again. He tells him he knows where Lisa and Ben are, but the place's angel-proof, so he takes them as close as he can. (OK, I know I said I won't mix things up, but after everything that goes down in these episodes, Balthazar is my new favorite angel). The boys sneak in, split up…And Sam gets knocked out. (Come on, Sam…Thought you were better than that). After some Demon ass-kicking, Dean finds Lisa and Ben, and cuts them free. Happy ending, right? Might've been, except Lisa is a demon! DUN DUN DUNNNNNN. Mommy Dearest For the first time ever, I'm actually interested in Lisa and Ben. One, because there's a chance they might die, and Two, demon-Lisa is more interesting than normal Lisa. She takes Ben hostage, and starts talking all kinds of evil stuff. "Says the C- lay with 10 Miles of daddy issues." Ouch. Dean starts to fight with demon-Lisa, and since he doesn't wanna kill her, begins exorcising. Just before he's finished, demon-Lisa stabs herself. Problem. But Dean continues anyway, and the demon goes out, leaving a dying Lisa on the floor. The Old Memory Wipe Dean carries Lisa, while Ben mans up a few years in one minute and starts shooting demons with a shotgun. John Winchester would be proud. They rescue Sam and drive to the hospital. Dean and Ben sit near Lisa, and Ben gives him the "If it was legal, and I had a gun, I would blow your face off" look. Cas shows up, saying he's sorry for what happened. He heals Lisa, and Dean asks him for another thing – to alter her and Ben's memories, so they won't know him. So now they think he's a guy who hit their car. He tells them he's sorry, and glad to see they're alright, and then walks away. He gets in the car, and Sam wants to talk about it, but Dean doesn't. "If you ever mention Lisa or Ben to me again, I will break your nose." Me too, Dean. If we ever see or hear something about them, ever again, I will break someone's nose, any nose. The Lisa and Ben storyline is (hopefully) officially over. HELL YES. Sera Gamble wrote them into the show (The Kids Are Alright), and she wrote them out of it. Good riddance. And yes, I hated them that much. Every single screen second they had. Besides, Lisa should be grateful. After all, she is a woman. On Supernatural. And she isn't dead. See, I look on the bright side too. Last but not least, we go back to Dragon lady. She walks out of her house, and sees Cas reflected on her window. She turns around, he puts her hand on her, and POOF they go. END OF PART 1 This episode was OK. Although they did get a proper send-off, I truly wish Lisa and Ben weren't there. But there were other stuff going on – Bobby's investigations, Angel talk, Crowley – So they didn't ruin the episode entirely for me. 7.5 Cthulhu tentacles out of 10. Next recap will be posted soon.
