NCIS - Episode 8.16 - Kill Screen - Review

"OMFG, he's gonna shoot the computer!"

Let’s face it. I’m no computer geek, I study Foreign Trade, but I’m pretty sure you can’t ruin or fix a computer by beating the monitor to death, unless you’ve got an all-in-one or a laptop. That’s not the case; it’s a CRT monitor we’re talking about. Then why, oh, why the hell does Gibbs keep doing that? He says “It helps me”. I say “You need anger management counseling”. Then he slaps my head and I go back to my books, feeling the pain of the unluckiest monitor of all times and on my head. Some things never change.

Did you ever get yourself wondering when would McGee be in trouble for hacking? I did for a while, but so many seasons later, I admit I had forgotten about it completely. Thank God it didn’t work out, and I hope it really doesn’t goes as far as this episode. Though it was cute to see Abby gathering a fund to pay for Legal counseling, nobody wants to see poor Timmy locked up for using his abilities to lock the bad guys up. We’ve seen him there before twice, and it wasn’t very nice. I wonder what Abby did with the money she gathered, as it was no longer useful for the initial cause… Green Peace, maybe? LOL

My favorite scene was when the team was trying to get to the super computer. It was kind of lame to simply cut Tony and Ziva off of it because it would be awesome to see their reactions to Gibbs shooting at it to stop it from hacking the Pentagon. And again: shooting the monitor WON’T DESTROY THE COMPUTER.

Honorable Mention: Do you remember when the 40-year-old virgin lost his virginity and Age of Aquarius started playing? When Tony fixed a date for Tim and Maxine, I had to start singing that song. Come on, when was the last time Tim got a decent romantic date that didn’t die, become evil or something like that?! EVER! I loved to see Beth Riesgraf, she’s beautiful and a good actress (Go, Parker!). Max is a cute geek, perfect match for McGee. If McAbby never happens, I want McMax.
