Grey's Anatomy - Episode 7.17 - This Is How We Do It - Review

Grey’s Anatomy returned after a short hiatus last night with “This Is How We Do It”. The Chief was starting a new trial, and in classic Grey’s Anatomy style, the race was on for the Residents to compete to assist with it.

It was also Callie’s baby shower and Mark got way to into it while Arizona revealed how much she disliked them! Each episode, more jealousy seems to build between Mark and Arizona and Arizona is not afraid to show how much this annoys her. I still can’t get over Arizona just accepting that Callie was going to have Mark’s baby, I think it’s starting to build up and Arizona is going to blow soon.

After a place on Derek’s trial became available, Adele found out that she has early Alzheimer’s but it has still not progressed to a stage where she is eligible for Derek’s trial. She had missed out by just one, silly, little point. Adele, as anyone would, got very upset and distressed over the news. This scene was so heartbreaking! I think the dialogue from Adele was very well written.

Henry was back last night and bought up some issues between the Chief and Teddy after he didn’t allow her to operate on him. I am really starting to like these two together and it appears as though they are both starting to feel real feelings for each other. Will this develop into a relationship? Teddy has grown on me a lot this season, she has become much more into her own and I hope she can finally find someone to settle down with.

Stark and April seemed to grow a little closer last night. After the other surgeons made fun of her, she cancelled her date with him and revealed she only wanted to be friends. There was a spark there however. I think they really do have feelings for each other. I’m not sure how I feel about those two as a couple. It’s nice to see April finally getting an ongoing, solo storyline. Last season, I couldn’t stand her but this season, she’s one of my favourites. Luck and Alex also grew closer after Meredith revealed to Lucy about Alex’s past. She went to visit him and they shared a cute kiss.

The episode ended to prepare us for next week’s musical event. (I must point out the awesome music that was used in this week’s episode, Adele.) Callie and Arizona were in what looked like a pretty awful car crash after Arizona proposed to Callie. Firstly, I must flail over Arizona proposing. Surely Callie has to accept? Please Callie! From the promo for next week, it looks like the crash is pretty devastating. I genuinely can’t wait for next week’s episode. I think it’s going to be classic Grey’s Anatomy, with classic music reminding us why we fell in love with the show. Can it just be next Thursday already?
