I think this was my favourite episode of the season thus far. I loved watching Colin and Bill work together to discover who the mole was and honestly I was not expecting it to be revealed in this episode. With only one episode left of the season I was sure that this would end with them almost catching who it was but not quite, I much preferred what really happened.
Colin this episode was so confusing but also completely transparent with everything. It was weird to see him in that capacity but I really enjoyed the duality of it. He bats for the people he loves and cares for no matter what even if that means having to bat against another person he cares for. I didn’t ever think that he and Nikki would disagree on anything, but I did like that when they did disagree Bill stood up right next to Colin to support him despite not really knowing the circumstances.
This was a very Colin focussed episode and honestly half of this episode I was shocked by either the things he did, said or thought himself.
There was only really one respite from the chaos and it gave one of the funniest lines I’ve ever heard. “Still stomping around the wood like a Tyrannosaurus Rex who lost its soccer ball” I think it was such a great line because it was coming from an ex CIA operative to his mentee.
We are eleven episodes in and clearly I have no idea who Colin really is because I thought that everything with Sarah was real and honestly that twist from him at the end was gut wrenching. I assumed that when he said no to what Sarah had said that he was going to confess that it was always real but then it ended up being the opposite and I think I was just as shocked as Sarah was. My jaw literally dropped so quickly, especially how he had just acted during the hostage situation.
This whole episode I was truly convinced that Nikki was the mole and when it turned out that it was Kevin the shock was real. I love that they managed to portray it in that way, especially because it could have even just been as cut and dry that Kevin felt he wasn’t valued enough but to then deepen the plot and have Tony kill Kevin, it was a masterpiece.
I am so excited to see what is to come in the finale of the season, it’s going to be a good one!
