The Middle Spinoff - Not Moving Forward at ABC

ABC has chosen (foolishly) to pass on picking up The Middle spinoff pilot to series per Deadline. The project which hailed from The Middle creators Eileen Heisler and DeAnn Heline may be shopped by Warner Bros. TV.

Sue Sue In the City follows the twentysomething adventures of eternal optimist Sue Heck (Eden Sher) as she leaves the small town of Orson to navigate the ups and downs of a career and young adulthood in the big city of Chicago.

The pilot starred Eden Sher, Brock Ciarlelli, Chris Diamantopoulos, Kimberley Crossman, Finesse Mitchell and Aaron Branch.

I hear the project may be shopped by producing studio Warner Bros. TV.
