Performers Of The Month - November Polls *RESULTS*

Results:

This round of Performers of the Month proved to be quite an intriguing battle. The results were unexpected and in one case flat out pleasantly surprising. It was a hard fought battle and both winners most certainly deserve the title of November’s Performers of the Month.

The actor category was a very tight race with many powerhouse performers nominated. Though, realistically there was one performer with a powerful voting fandom that seemed like he’d easily take the title this month. Then a surprising underdog emerged to lay down a very impressive challenge. That underdog would go on to secure the title in what might very well go down as the biggest upset in POTM history. Leave it up to the Devil to overcome the odds. The winner of the title of the Most Outstanding Actor of November is Lucifer’s Tom Ellis. He has been nominated for Performer of the Month every month of his eligibility since this feature began. He’s had some good showings before in the polls, but never enough to secure a win. This month that all changed. He trailed for the early part of the voting then he slowly and gradually gained on Arrow’s Stephen Amell. He only led by a tiny margin in the end but was able to maintain it long enough to secure his very first POTM win. This is a title that he most certainly deserves as he does brilliant work in each and every episode bringing Lucifer to life. He brilliantly shows Lucifer’s cunning devilish side while also showing how much heart he has. He has brought incredible depth to a very complicated character and he does so with exceptional acting prowess.

The actress category was also full of some majorly gifted performers. This contest was very tight for the first day or so. Then Katie McGrath and Melissa Benoist, both from CW's Supergirl surged ahead. They would go on to battle back and forth for the lead until one of them pulled ahead with a strong lead. There was a last minute surge from Arrow’s Emily Bett Rickards that drastically cut down the lead, but it was a lead that was not to be overcome. Supergirl’s Melissa Benoist soared in to secure the title as November’s Most Outstanding Actress of November for her performance in the big CW DC crossover event Crisis on Earth X. She managed to deliver flawless performances spanning four shows and two very different characters. She played the event’s main foe as well as one of the leading heroes. And she did it all with an immense amount of grace, skill, and vast talent that people have come to expect from this stunningly gifted actress. This was her first win this year and it is a win that is very well deserved.

Look for the winner articles for Tom Ellis and Melissa Benoist to release sometime prior to the end of the month. In the meantime please feel free to use the comments section to discuss these two winners and all their very talented competition.

Original Post:

Since November is a sweeps month there are always a tremendous amount of outstanding performances. This November was no exception as gifted performers filled our screens with an immense number of outstanding performances. Now they go head-to-head to determine who will be crowned the Most Outstanding Actor and Actress of November. It should be an interesting round of POTM.

Please take note that the site we use for our polls has done away with social media voting. I know that will make many of you happy, but I implore everyone to play fair despite that safety measure being done away with. I know that plea will not do anything to stop some people from stuffing the proverbial ballot box, but to make it a little harder the results will still be hidden. If the option for social media required voting ever returns the polls will return to that setup.

Now comes the hard part where you can only vote for 1 actor and 1 actress to be crowned as the Performers Of The Month for November. The polls will be open until 6 pm ET on December 14th.
