Stitchers - Perfect - Advance Preview: “Perfection”

Stitchers is on a roll this season delivering one outstanding episode after another and this one does not break that pattern. It’s another relationship heavy episode and is a nice follow-up on all the things that happened in the prior one. This week also sees Cameron attempt to settle into his new position in charge of the lab. That comes with mixed results on many different fronts. There is definitely a different energy that governs the lab with all the recent changes that have gone into effect.

The case of the week fits in perfectly with the theme of the episode allowing for a nearly ideal story flow throughout. Fisher gets much more to do this week than he has in the prior two episodes of the season. Look for Allison Scagliotti to show off her incredible vocal and instrumental abilities in what will hopefully not be a one-off. Also, expect some tension and forward progression within the established couples. Maggie does not appear at all, but her absence is definitely felt. Someone is repeatedly put in harm’s way. Another character reveals something quite personal and a tiny bit heartbreaking.

This is yet another episode where there is a lot of stuff crammed into it. The writers are clearly trying to cover a lot of ground this season and while it should feel rushed, it doesn’t. They are keeping a fast pace forward in the story, but doing so in such an organic way that the episodes feel full, but not bursting with story. Some shows that try to do this end up getting bogged down in their own stories, but these writers have brilliantly prevented that by going with the natural flow of the characters.

Don’t miss this love filled episode when it airs Monday, June 19th at 9/8c on Freeform.

Here are some quotes to tide you over:

“I liked meeting her, she’s a good listener.”
“Don’t look at me, I didn’t kill him.”
“Say something managerial.”
“You can stop looking now.”
“You can’t make this stuff up.”
“I’m not sure how to answer that.”
“I don’t even wanna know where you pulled that from.”

Hit the comments with your hopes for the episode. What do you hope will happen with the couples? Do you think the Cameron can handle his new position?
