LAYLA SETS HER SIGHTS ON AVERY AS A FAMILIAR FACE TO THE NASHVILLE MUSIC SCENE RETURNS, ON “NASHVILLE,” WEDNESDAY, MARCH 23

Tony Award-Winner Steve Kazee and Buzz Brainard Guest Star

“How Does It Feel To Be Free” – A familiar face is back on the Nashville music scene when Luke recruits his old friend Riff Bell (played by Tony Award-winning actor, singer, musician Steve Kazee) to join him on tour. While the duo excitedly starts planning Riff’s return to the stage, newcomer Vita arrives at The Beverly, but while she convinces Deacon and Rayna she deserves a shot, Frankie has his doubts. In the end, more questions than answers remain. Radio personality Buzz Brainard also guest stars as himself, on “Nashville,” WEDNESDAY, MARCH 23 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT) on the ABC Television Network.

“Nashville” stars Connie Britton as Rayna Jaymes, Hayden Panettiere as Juliette Barnes, Clare Bowen as Scarlett O’Connor, Chris Carmack as Will Lexington, Will Chase as Luke Wheeler, Charles Esten as Deacon Claybourne, Jonathan Jackson as Avery Barkley, Sam Palladio as Gunnar Scott, Maisy Stella as Daphne Conrad, Lennon Stella as Maddie Conrad and Aubrey Peeples as Layla Grant.

Guest starring are Ed Amatrudo as Glenn Goodman, David Alford as Bucky Dawes, Jeananne Goosen as Vita Martin, Keean Johnson as Colt Wheeler, Steve Kazee as Riff Bell, Scout Taylor-Compton as Erin, Mark Collie as Frankie Gray, Jessy Scram as Cash Gray, Simalee Montano as Dr. Kitley and Buzz Brainard as himself.

“How Does It Feel To Be Free” was written by Ben St. John & Mollie Bickley St. John and directed by Steve Robin.

“Nashville” is executive produced by Dee Johnson (“Boss,” “The Good Wife”), Callie Khouri (“Thelma & Louise”), and Steve Buchanan. The series is produced by Lionsgate, ABC Studios, and Opry Entertainment and is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC’s selected HDTV format with 5.1 channel surround sound.
