In their first TV writing effort as a duo since creating CBS’ long-running comedy series How I Met Your Mother, Carter Bays and Craig Thomas are returning to the eye network with another comedy project set in the Big Apple, New York Mythological. The single-camera half-hour, which Bays and Thomas will write and executive produce, hails from Sony TV where the duo inked a rich overall deal in June. It centers on a Midwestern girl who moves to Manhattan and experiences firsthand the magic of New York.
Bays and Thomas will executive produce through their individual banners, Bays Airlines and Chocolate Cow Entertainment, respectively. The duo’s development executive under the Sony TV deal, Brian Bockrath, also will executive produce.
