Scene Of The Week - July 5, 2015 - POLL

A weekly feature in which we're trying to find the most compelling, best acted, written, directed and just generally great, memorable scenes that we've seen in past seven days on TV.

HANNIBAL, "Contorno", July 2, 2015, Actors: Tao Okamoto, Laurence Fishburne and more, The Scenes: Chiyoh tosses Will off the train & Jack and Hannibal fight
Darth Locke:
Chiyoh kisses Will and then tosses him over the back of the train! The episodes so far this season have been so incredibly beautiful for both the way scenes are shot, but also in it's careful execution of unfolding and playing more heavily with space-time and Stephen Hawking concepts. This scene and other scenes with Will and Chiyoh have been slower and perhaps a representation of time slowing down and the fabric of the universe being undone! Chiyoh's motives and loyalty continue to be a little bit of a mystery and by putting with Will, we can see how deluded Will's senses are...
Diana Mack: Last scene when Jack and Hannibal fight while in the background there's a beautiful and funny classical music.

KILLJOYS, "The Harvest", July 3, 2015, Actors: Hannah John-Kamen, Aaron Ashmore, The Scene: Dutch and John talk at the end
Justyna K:
I am really enjoying the show so far. And I already love the relationship between Dutch and John. After spending the entire episode feeling like he's being replaced and doing all kinds of crazy things to prove his value to the team, Johnny really needed to talk things through with Dutch. What she said, how much their 6 years of partnership mean to her, it's exactly a sort of thing that makes the series grow in my eyes. "You're irreplaceable to me." If only Dutch didn't choose to hide things about her old mentor from John, this moment could be even better... It's the character driven story, the true friendships and emotional exchanges that make the show memorable and worth watching for me. Glad to see this one doing so well. It's interesting, action packed, even brutal, but also honest and meaningful. Kudos to the actors and the crew!

MAJOR CRIMES, "Turn Down", June 29, 2015, Actors: Tony Denison, G.W. Bailey, Phillip P. Keene
The Scene: Flynn and Provenza finish the dead guy's song while Buzz calls in a murder
Prpleight J:
So, so many this week, Flynn and Provenza finish the dead guy's song while Buzz calls in a murder. Provenza and Flynn are trying so hard not to work and Buzz is just...well...trying so hard.

MR. ROBOT, "eps1.1_ones-and-zer0es.mpeg", July 1, 2015, Actors: Rami Malek, Christian Slater
The Scene: Mr. Robot pushes Elliot off the rails
Ben L:
Learning Elliot's backstory about his disloyalty to his father, which caused Mr. Robot to push him off the rails to the ground.

PENNY DREADFUL, "And Hell Itself My Only Foe", June 28, 2015, Actor: Eva Green
The Scene: The puppet comes to life
Diana Mack:
The puppet with Vanessa's resemblance comes to life and tell her "Murderer". Creepy.

TEEN WOLF, "Creatures of the Night" & "Parasomnia", June 29-30, 2015, Actors: Tyler Posey, Kelsey Chow and more, The Scenes: Senior Scribe & Tracy sees one of the Dread Doctors crawling across the lockers to her
Justyna K:
I'm so glad the show's finally back. It's easily one of my favorites and there's always so many great, worth mentioning, character driven, action packed, emotional moments to choose for the article. This week a special shout-out to the following scenes: Lydia in Eichen House, the future flashes, Stiles confronting Scott about him trusting everyone and Scott healing his hand, and Stiles and his dad talking about the missing wedding ring and Theo. Though, in the end, I just had to go with the Senior Scribe. It was such a lovely tribute to the characters I dearly miss and it's a beautiful thing to see the show and the characters remembering Allison and leaving her initials right there next to Scott's. A lot of shows would move on and barely (or never) mention her and Teen Wolf is certainly not one of them. I recently had a chance to re-watch the series' early episodes and it's so hard to believe how much things have changed since then. I still feel truly sad about Allison's departure and the broken Argent family (poor Chris) but the show's already doing such a wonderful job starting the season, that I'm so excited about all the new things to happen. The scene was a great pack moment, the final quiet and special one before everything really starts to fall apart, I imagine. That was an excellent 2-hour beginning to the season 5, kudos! Also, sidenote, if only people listened to Stiles more often...
Prpleight J: Tracy sees a Steam Punk doctor crawling across the lockers to her. The last time a scene freaked me out so much I needed someone to talk me down was Arachnophobia (spiders should never intelligently stalk you!) Everything about that scene had me needing someone to hold my hand.

WAYWARD PINES, "Betrayal", July 2, 2015, Actors: Melissa Leo, Hope Davis and more, The Scenes: Mrs F teaches the class about procreation & Pam does surveillance for Ethan
Nirat Anop:
Mrs F teaching the class about procreation. This entire scene was hilarious and the reaction from the class as she brought Amy & Ben to the front to publicly tell the class they fit together 'seamlessly' was absolutely awkward and funny. Mrs F is a counsellor by day, teacher in between and matchmaker during free period / end of the day, which is just a bit creepy but I'm sure she's having fun.
Darth Locke: It was just interesting to see Pam suddenly react differently to Ethan now that her brother has told him the truth. The character was just way more likable and entertaining in this episode.
