    Mary's the worst.The writers ruined the show with the rape and affair/triangle.I can't stand how hypocritical Mary is-she can't stand Francis touching her,but the second she's alone with Conde she s only too happy to let HIM kiss her.I hope she loses Francis,Cinde,France,Scotland,England and her head-she deserves it.I hope Francis moves on with Lola and Mary realizes what she lost.Mary is stupid to think she find "healing" in Condes bed,Antione was right too that if Mary could turn from Francis so quickly, she can do the same to Conde.Mary dosent realze that an affair can cost her head & Condes,if she concieves there will be no doubt that it's not Francis's &( as Francis said twice that Coukd start wars)& She's catholic,he's Pototestant that too can inflame religious wars and if she dosent conceive an heir with Frsncis she jeopardizes her rule in France,Scotland,aengland plus now he's gonna marry Elzabeth and as we know in history Conde goes after the crown/betrays The crown & is executed.If Mary really loves Conde she won't risk his life by having an affair nor her own life-nobidys worth that,certainly no fling like this.Im sure Frary will be reunited eventually.Kenna is beng as equally irratating and skanky.,

    Reign fans kill me. All they want is for this show to be a bodice-ripping Harlequin romance novel filled with scene after scene of Francis and Mary making goo-goo eyes at one another and having the blandest, most vanilla chemistry free sex on all of television. No story, no conflict, no tension - just mundane shipper pandering is what they want this show to be. Thank goodness none of you are in charge of this show.

    Having a problem with this show using a rape story to make a love triangle happen where Mary spends half the season blatantly hurting Francis and acting like she's doing it because she wants him to move on from her is perfectly reasonable. Mary can't even stand to touch Francis, but is okay with a relative stranger touching her. Meanwhile, she's utterly emasculating the man she used to love by asking him for permission to be with her lover.


    That is NONSENSE and people have every right to be annoyed by that. If they wanted to do a rape recovery story line then we would have been fine with that, but instead they used this opportunity to damage Mary and Francis so much that it's going to take a lot to convince even the biggest supporter of their ship that Mary is even worthy of Francis anymore.


    The fact that you think we didn't want drama because we didn't want a ship destroying love triangle during a rape story line is idiotic. Attach this same storyline to any couple you like and I'm sure your reaction wouldn't be favorable either.

    Francis wasn't counting on returning again. He only returned to save his mother and then he was leaving forever.


    And there is a difference between marrying for convenience and marrying for both love and convenience, which is what she tried to do by opening her heart to Bash in the first place. Francis has never loved Lola, we've seen that time and again. He's only ever given his heart to Mary.

    I understand Ur annoyance with their storytelling. I think they approached this Mary-Conde thing really wrong. They wanted to user her repulsion towards Francis to connect her to Conde but made so many flaws while writing this shit.
    Again they wanted to portray the rise and fall of a Queen, combined with her naivity, evolution etc. I hope the Conde story will come to an end soon and we find a way to get back on track.
    And Kenna could loose her life just for being Bash's wife not to mention for playing a tricky game.

    I can't believe I'm going to say this but for once, I finally agree with Antoine and Lola. I feel bad for Louis because he will be the one to pay the price in the end, if he doesn't leave for England. Mary and Francis will go back to being boring as ever and Frary fangirls will get what they want.


    Also, WTH are these writers doing? I knew they would ruin Louis' character and this whole rape storyline is giving me a headache. I trully don't even know how anyone's going to act by the end of each episode. They're all so fickle.
    I still like Louis, Catherine, Narcisse, Greer and *whispers* Lola, everyone else is either too boring to watch or annoying as hell.

    Ugh, this season has turned into such a mess since the rape storyline began. I could not care less if someone ships Francis/Mary or Conde/Mary because I don't ship either -- what I have issue with is the writers putting another love triangle into play because of the rape, and so soon after Francis/Mary/Bash was put to rest.

    Granted, this is the CW and therefore a very fictional show, but I find it hard to believe that a rape victim could be in such bad shape with one person but have no almost no issue with another. Yes, Francis "reminds" her of the event, but that still doesn't add up to a victim needing to heal. Whatever. Thinking about this too long makes my head hurt.

    I agree with everything except Francis/Lola. I loved their friendship because they are honest and respect each other and I don't want the writers to ruin that. I hope they give a good love interest to Francis next season. He deserves it after all the crap Mary has put him through this season.
    Kenna went back to being the shallow girl who only cares about pretty shiny things.

    I never liked Mary/Francis that much but using a rape to start a love triangle is awful and offensive. Also replacing a love triangle with a more ridiculous one this season killed the show. Even Torrance Coombs (Bash) thinks Monde is Mash 2.0.
    And most fans wanted more political drama and court intrigue instead of so much unnecessary forced love drama. The show runner promised Catherine will get more screentime and an exciting storyline and she has barely appeared this season.

    Isn't Olivia the girl that was brought back for the sole purpose of guilting Francis into being with her because he had ruined her chances of ever being married? Both his mother and Olivia were manipulating the entire situation. Besides that, Mary and Francis weren't even in love at the time. Their engagement was still one of convenience.


    I would actually like to thank you for pointing this relationship out though, because during that time didn't Mary say she was desperate for them not to become like his parents? And now Mary's actions have actually resulted in the thing she didn't want?


    You've barely become worth my time. You're someone who WANTS to hate Francis, that means you're going to come up with one idiotic excuse after the next in order to justify it, no matter how thin it is. But you're amusing me, so come up with the next one so I can shoot that one down to.

    After last night’s episode and the last moments where Conde agreed to court Elizabeth, i can see why people don’t trust him.

    But i still do.

    1. I trust him because i believe he agreed to courtship with Elizabeth to add further protection for him and Mary.

    The scene where Mary tells him that Francis grante their relationship and they are free- he hugs her; but still looks unsure. NOt because he doesn’t trust her, but because he doesn't trust Francis or even think Francis plan is going to work. He took his brother’s words to heart (Antoine mentioned that Mary and Conde could be punished and killed no matter what they do) and decided to take more measures in ensuring that Mary is safe. I think the reason he has agreed to court Elizabeth is to take even more suspicion off of his relatisonhip with Mary. This courtship with Elizabeth will ease the political tension between England and France (since everyone knows Conde is a friend of Mary- a FRENCH QUEEN). The courtship also stops rumors from flying about his relationship with Mary (now everyone knows that he is betrothed to Elizabeth- which is more buzz worthy than a unproven affair with Mary).

    2. I trust him because I believe he truly loves Mary.

    And because he loves Mary, he wants to protect her, even if it means he can’t be with her because of his courtship with Elizabeth.

    I think he loves her so much that not only has he decided to give up his future for her, but his lifelong desires and goals. In episode 2x05, Conde expressly mentioned that he has no desire to be a king (”I’m not a King. And I think God for it”). That statement holds true to last night’s episode where he kept denying Antoine's pleas to wed Elizabeth and seize Kingship. Conde remained disinterested in the thought of being a king, not just because he wanted to be with Mary, but also- the thought of having that much power and no freedom (the one thing he enjoys most in his life), scares him. But, when he fell for Mary and realized that their lives (especially hers) was in mortal danger, he let his desire to be free with the woman he loves go and choose a life of shackles by agreeing to be Elizabeth’s potential husband.

    3. Francis would do (did) the same thing

    I think he loves Mary and loves her so much that he has given up his future for her so that she may be safe as a woman and a queen. It’s very similar to what Francis was doing when he decided not to tell Mary about him killing Henry and Narcisse. Just like Francis chose to work with Narcisse to protect Mary, Conde is choosing Elizabeth to protect her as well. Both moves made by both men resulted in them giving up something (francis gave up the welfare of his kingdom and louis gave up his brother and his desire to not be a king) becuase they love Mary.

    This is all speculation, maybe Louis has been playing Mary from the start. Or maybe not. Maybe he has good intentions, or maybe not. Either way, i can honestly say that Conde loves Mary, just as Francis, and has decided to give up his life for her.

    By referring to your own words Francis is a moron who destroyed Olivia's life, cheat on Mary(They were already engage when she come in France) thus he slept with Olivia(Without being forced) under the mary's eyes who already had feelings for him, then when Marry wanted to marry Bash(Whith whom she never slept) an while he was so in love with her he had sex with Lola and made her a baby.


    Obviously you will tell me that Mary vas about to marry his brother and that it's ugly(Bouh! Bad things happen) and i agree she has a crush on him but she would never have made this proposal if she had not been informed about the vision of Nostradamus and if the king had not threatened her.


    You say Francis gave her his heart ? What she gave him according to you since the beginning?
    Yes i do not love the character of Francis and evenless Condé, but i like de developement of Adelaïde's character. Mary is growing and becoming a woman. You treat her like a B....because you have difficulty to accepte that and it's too bad.


    Wake up! it's not a fairy tale but a serie who handle real facts and thus event have to seem real.


    Francis would have slept with an other woman during his marriage with Mary(Before that it's not cheating for you), what did you say? Mary is a human being with feelings it's normal she can fall in love with somebody else.
    But not worry she will enventually fall again into Francis's arms and the will become this so borring couple you like.


    Small advice: If you are not capable of handle this show, stop wathing it.

    It's not for a man at that time,it was accepted for a mam,a king,to have Mistresess but a queen couldn't cheat on her husband.Cathetine was almost excited for cheating on Henry,Anne Boyln was executed. For incest/adultery.It is cheating yes but at that time it was ok common for a man to have livers/Mistreses but not a woman cause women in that time were compnsidered mans property.

    Maybe we should be in charge of this show since this latest episode had the lowest ratings (in viewership but not demo) ever. No one wants to see what you described. There has been plenty of conflict between Mary and Francis since the very beginning but moreso this season. Using Mary's rape to set up another love triangle is what has made viewers upset.

    Considering Mary is in fact married to Francis now, I'd say that's a huge difference! You do remember that she was engaged to Bash when Francis actually slept with Lola?! Yes, she was her friend but he didn't plan on seeing her ever again since he exiled himself from Court. Also, it would be considered treason for Mary punishable by death.

    Francis saw Mary kiss Bash and then put their relationship on hold. Did you forget that fact? He told Mary he would still marry her if the Alliance didn't end. Yes, he did sleep with Olivia after he told Mary that she could see others. Mary is now married so that's a HUGE difference! Also, Mary actually deserves Conde, the lying traitor that he truly is.
