Welcome back Rollins! Benson and Rollins were sitting in a coffee house, catching up on how better Rollins was feeling. When Rollins and Benson step out of the coffee house, they stumble into the victim, which was a sixteen year old girl. Jenna said that she was raped, by a guy that followed her into of the bathroom. Jenna was very distressed and the guy, Jerome told Benson and Rollins that he was just trying to help Jenna.
When they got to the hospital it was clear that Jenna was raped, the evidence was there. Jenna said Jerome followed her into the bathroom, laid on top of her and raped her. Jenna had drugs and alcohol in her system. So the event was a little fuzzy but Jenna was sure that Jerome raped her!
Back at the station, Jerome stood by his innocence. He told the detectives there was a line of people outside of the bathroom, he knocked and walked in. Then Jenna started to freak out, then she ran out of the restaurant. But the detectives told Jerome that “there’s a problem in his story, because Jenna says you raped her!” Fin comes in the room and pulls the other detectives out and tells them that he is the Jerome Jones, who has a $36 million lawsuit against the city for false arrest. So when Barba showed up, he told them, they better have an air tight case or let him go! So they let him go!
When Jenna’s family found out that they let Jerome go they were not to happy. In fact, Jenna’s father took matters into his own hands. He kidnapped Jerome to try and get a confession. He tied Jerome to a chair and shot a nail gun around his head, while he video taped it. But Jerome still said he did not rape Jenna. It was not until her father pointed the gun at Jerome’s private area, that Jerome started to say that he did rape her, but then he started to have a heart attack and eventually died. Jenna’s father was arrested for his murder.
Barba and Benson were very upset when they found out that their suspect was just killed by their victim’s father. This is where the case got twisted. The only real evidence they had was semen that was on and under Jenna’s sweater. When the results came back, Amaro and Rollins had chance to talk to Jenna together. They try to see if Jenna could remember anymore details from that night.
Well Jenna did, in fact she described her rape in more detail, than before. This time it was at her uncle’s dentist office and she said her uncle raped her, and sure enough the semen that was found on her, matched her uncle’s DNA.When the detectives brought her uncle in for questioning, he denied the fact and said that Jenna was just confessed. But when more women from his past came out saying that he either rape them or assaulted them, Benson know they had him. But it was up to Jenna to put the final nail in his coffin and she did, by telling him she was pregnant. Like Fin said, works every time.
This episode was really sad, because it left an innocence boy dead, and a father who just wanted justice for his daughter in jail. The saddest part of it all was Jenna has to live the rest of her life knowing that she cause the death of a innocence boy who she accused of raped. When in fact it was her uncle who raped her.
