  1. the non existant scene where bella gets hit by the van and the book series ends there instead of going on for 3 more books.

  2. Many scenes from The Hunger Games or even Harry Potter... Too bad movies don't last more than 2 and a half hours nowadays.

  3. just curios, is that a sarcastic laugh or a "boy, where do I start" laugh?

  4. This could take a while lol because I always read the books first and get very attached to the story then the movies really disappoint me when they cut A LOT of my favourite scenes, for example, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenixe is my favourite book of the series and they butchered it in the movie seriously I was so mad, and don't even get me started on the Goblet of fire or the Half Blood Prince, it was like watching a different story, there are others but the HP cuts were the worst.

  5. Tom Bombadil in Lord of the Rings, the only one who is not affected by the rings powers.

  6. Nymeria POV from the books of Game of Thrones

  7. Almost everything they cut from Eragon, especially by the end when he arrives to where the vardens are. I can't stress enough how much that movie fucked up a really enjoyable book series that only improved over time.

The Hobit, on the other hand, had the opposite trouble; adding way too much and even adding things that weren't there to begin with. Seriously, 3 movies? That's far too much

  8. There were not enough sassy Professor McGonagall scenes in the Harry Potter movies!

Seriously, there are a LOT of book scenes I would have liked to be included in their respective movies.Harry Potter,The Hunger Games even Lord of the Rings, which is,in my opinion, the best adaptation so far.

  9. I think Eragon remains my biggest regret until today!I love the books and, with an exception or two,I liked the cast as well. And then they went and butchered everything else!I'm still hoping for a reboot in the future.
Thing is,if you hadn't read the books, the movie was probably fine.A least, that's what I keep hearing from the people who hadn't,that they really enjoyed it.Which is true. When I try not to think of the book,it's a pretty enjoyable movie. It's the comparison that hurts.

  10. Harry Potter 'there's no need to call me 'sir' Professor' - i would have given anything for that to have been onscreen

  11. I totally agree with you about the 'The Order of the Phoenix' and 'The Half Blood Prince'. I was really disappointed with those two films. Many scenes were cut and the films felt half completed to me.

  12. I have quite a lot because I always make sure to read the book first. Don't know why really :/

But off the top of my head, I would say in Hunger Games: Catching Fire, I wish that they had included the scene where Finnick and Katniss scare Peeta by waking him up covered in that cream Haymitch sent to treat their skin. Probably wouldn't make sense since in the movie, their skin was just fine, but I LOVED that scene.

  13. There was always a scene that I was looking forward to seeing in the Harry Potter movies that was in the book. Here are the 3 big ones.

Azkaban - the story behind the marauders map. Especially since in the movie everyone always called Peter Pettigrew Wormtail but never said why.

Goblet of Fire - the hospital scene at the end of the book where everything is explained, and they set up the 5th movie/book.

Phoenix - the maze/battle in the department of mysteries and the long Harry/Dumbledore scene that immediately follows in his office.
Both were technically included in the movie, but I wanted SO much more.

  14. I will say I was a little dissappointed when they didn't have Haymitch fall off the stage in the first Hunger Games movie, and they left out the rooftop scene in Catching Fire

  15. The code hidden in the maze's movement of THE MAZE RUNNER. Because I think it showed how complex the maze actually was :).

  16. Haymitch's games in CF and probably the whole movie from TMI xD

  17. Those last two were big disappointments. Dumbledore should have explained the Priori Incantatem, and the fact that the Prophecy could have been about Neville is pretty big IMO. There were so many things explained in those two scenes!

  18. My Sister's Keeper, when they completely fucked up the ending by changing which sister died.

  19. I TA about the prophecy /Neville thing.I was suprised & upset it wasn't in the movie

  20. Yeah, I never read the books and liked the movie Eragon.

  21. God, They butchered those three so bad. They amazingly butchered Harry and Ginny in The Half Blood Prince. Amongst other things, a lot of other things.

  22. You' are so right about movie McGonagall. And Even though I love Maggie Smith as McGonagall, There's so much missing scene of McGonagall in the movies. And The best ones with that.

  23. Hunger Games CF- how they missed out the scene where Katniss finds Bonnie and Twill from District 8 who believe that District 13 is still alive.... This kind of sets up the setting for the next book/film and it puzzled me why they left it out in the film adaptation.

  24. The scene where Peter stabs that guy in the eye in Divergent. Kind of very important...

Also really bothered me that they left out the scene from Perks of Being a Wallflower in which Charlie witnesses his sister's friend being raped by her own boyfriend. Obviously not a pleasant scene but so key to understanding Charlie and explaining his reaction to a realization he has later on (I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't read it because it's a great book)

  25. And Edward just goes, "Meh, I could find someone hotter." as he whistles while walking away.

  26. Hard to say really as I've never read all of the Lord of the Rings books or all of the Harry Potter books when I've seen all of those films, but I would like to say that I wish, in Batman Begins, there was a scene involving Bruce talking to his parents' tombstones to be much more like Year One(especially since BB took a lot of cues from YO anyways).

  27. Half blood prince was the worst for me. They left out waaaaaay too much.
But my biggest a issue was the exclusion of the entire dumbledore storyline in deathly hallows. So when they met aver forth and he explained it all it came from nowhere

  28. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 - all things considered, it was actually a great movie. The scene that I really thought was missing/would've LOVED to see?
The Harry and Lupin fight. Holy crap, this was amazing in the book. Harry gets all up in Lupin's face about wanting to join them on their quest to destroy the horcruxes. Harry reminds him that he has a son now, and he can't just neglect that responsibility. Great quote, too, "I can't believe...the man who taught me how to fight dementors...a coward!" Gives me chills every time I read it. David and Daniel could've easily pulled it off and it could've fit so well into the movie. Oh well.

  29. Harry potter and the half blood prince: have it so Harry was actually petrified when dumbledore was killed, rather than him just wimping out and hiding. Also include the funeral scene and his realization that he is now well and truly alone. Also develop the harry and Ginny relationship like the book, rather than her tying his damn shoelaces and always making the first move

    ReplyDelete
  30. I think the whole Lupin storyline from the last two books was really bad done in the movies. It was pretty strange when Lupin's "ghost" talked to Harry about his son and you didn't even know Lupin had a son if you hadn't read the books.
