I hope you all enjoyed the season premiere (I know, I did), and now I'm back to tease you the second episode. Don't worry I won't spoil the episode, I just want to tease you and make you impatient (is that evil?). So let's discuss the episode! his episode introduces us to a new character named Annette Castellano. Rhea Perlman brings a certain energy to the show, and I hope she will bring new viewers.

These two episodes were different in significant ways but, they were similar in important ways too. The show still has the same energy, but there's something new. I don't know how to explain this, but there's something different, and it's not the fact that they're a couple now, it's in the show itself.

Basically, this episode has two main plots. The first is about Danny's mother, who will be a recurring character this season. Then, there is the practice storyline. The formula of this episode follows the same formula as last week, though there are not as many characters as last week. This episode could have been named "Troubles". I absolutely do not want to alarm you about the couple's future, but each character is faced with problems, problems of everyday life. At the practice, Peter is is still not over his ex, he's quite sad and lonely, so he tries to "masculinize" Morgan, because he thinks that Tamra controls him. Morgan sits on the toilet bowl, he's committed in this relationship, and is willing to give up his 40 dogs for her because she's allergic to them. Peter doesn't believe Tamra, and thinks that Morgan is being manipulated, it's what "women do". This storyline deals with gender roles and identity. It was not very well done and subtle, but it was fun to follow, and the conclusion of the plot was well handled (side note: "Blurred Lines" was not a great song choice...).

Then, let's discuss the Castellano's plot. Mindy wants to be liked by Danny's mother, and this is why she wants to make sure she plays all of her cards right and that might not be the best way to go. Of course, things do not go as planned on Annette's birthday, but how do you think it will end? Do you think Danny's mother will like Mindy, or do you think she's going to try to destroy their relationship? There's only one answer to that question: watch live!

Tune in Tuesday, September 23 at 9:30/8:30c for a brand new episode of The Mindy Project on FOX.

Note : 6/10 - The characters are the strength of the show, the plots of this episode are quite funny, but don't click. Despite that, the episode was good and we got to know a little more about Danny.

Now, it's your turn! What did you think of the episode? Hit the comments!
