  2. If you don't ship Captain Swan even after that...I just don't know what to say to you.

  6. Captain Swan was so cute :') But that ending... poor Regina.

  7. I loved it and I am glad that Emma finally gave into her feelings not only for Hook, but her love for her parents as well. Poor Regina, Emma saves Marion and that leads to Regina not having her happy ending. I wonder what will happen next season. Oh and Frozen is coming. Interesting.

  8. Ugh, no thanks to all that Captain Swan. I do like that he called her out on her shit, though.

And aww, Snow and David named the baby Neal! So cute.

Damn it, Emma, way to screw up that badly! Poor Regina didn't deserve that at all.

Whoa at the end! Didn't make the connection at first, but I'm so excited for season four. This should be fun.

Oh no! It was a nice ending until finding out Regina killed Robin's love in the original storyline and Emma brought her to the future. Oh no.

I don't like how they took out the Charming/arrow saving Snow scene. That was my favorite part of episode 3! :(

    They need to fix it!

  11. Poor Regina. =(

  12. For most of the time I loved it... that they go with Frozen is not surprising given spoilers... But the end... poor Regina :( in a way it's like mother like daughter, now Emma is destroying Regina's happy ending without meaning to... I'm sad:( it's 4 a.m. here and I doubt I can fall asleep but I wish I didn't stay up for this. this ending ruined it for me:(

  13. Absolute nonsensical garbage.

Captain Swan remains creepy, Regina remains the whipping girl and Rumple still doesn't get called on his abuse. This show has some serious sexism issues.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I think Robin Hood will go back to Regina throughout the next season.. but yes poor Regina..

    ReplyDelete
  15. Damn! Emma for breaking up Outlaw Queen :( Poor Regina

    ReplyDelete
  16. I loved it!!! Yay, Frozen is coming!!!

But poor Regina, I feel so bad for her!!! As soon as we saw Robin, Roland and Regina as a happy family, I just knew the woman Emma brought back had to be Marian! But I was hoping I would be wrong!!!!

Really liked that Snow and Charming called their son Neal!! :)

  17. One of the best season finales of ALL season finales! It's better than awesome!

Great, they named the kid Neal. Now can we put that dirtbag behind us?

Frozen? I like it for a theme episode, but not a half-season storyline. We'll see.

Of course they weren't going to squander Maid Marian like that. Can't let Regina go entirely happy, she still has some evil muscles to flex.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I was okay with it (even that horrible CS nonsense didn't grate on me as much as it has in the past) up until the last minute of the show. Making Elsa a character/villain for next season is such pathetic bandwagoning on Adam and Eddy's and only highlights the incredible dearth of creativity or ingenuity of this show.

I was only here for JMo who was, as always, wonderful.

    ReplyDelete
  20. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 03:19

Neal was not a dirtbag. If you hate him fine, but he wasn't.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I enjoyed it overall, there were some good moments like when Emma called them mom and dad.My favourite I think. Glad she finally realized that SB with her family is her home!

Man I feel so bad for Regina!! I really enjoyed her growth and that she found happiness this season. So hopefully this doesn't mean too much back tracking for her.

    ReplyDelete
  22. He did impregnate and abandon an underage girl. Rape is a strong line for a lot of people.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I didn't like it. It might as well have been called 'Emma Swan: Too Stupid Too Live.' Pretty much every single thing that went wrong in this episode (both in the past and in the present) was entirely her fault, some accidentally and some intentionally. I just find the character so unlikable, especially her trying to take Henry away from Regina, when the earlier seasons made a point that she was not trying to do that .

The Snow/Charming thing was repetitive and gave us no new insights to either character, just a rehash of a season 1 episode. They weren't much better in the present for me. I find it pretentious to make a spectacle of naming the child, just as I did when they wanted to announce her pregnancy to the entire kingdom earlier.

95% of the episode being focused on Emma and Hook did nothing for me.

I didn't care for past!Regina's scenes either. More rehashing and more reused dialogue like the Snow/Charming crap.

I enjoyed all of the Rumplestiltskin scenes, but the Rumbelle relationship is toxic. She doesn't know him at all.

The Regina scenes in Storybrooke were nice, but the writers keep doing the exact same thing with her all of the time. Regina finds happiness and someone ruins it. I can't even blame her if she stays in the darkness permanently after this.

And what is it with Snow White and her bloodline always ruining the happiness of Regina's? Eva ruining Cora's shot at what she perceived as her happy ending (though admittedly this counts less than my next examples), Snow unintentionally causing Daniel's death, Emma sticking around in Storybrooke in season 1, Emma & Snow blaming Regina for Archie's death and taking Henry away from her, Snow tricking Regina into killing her own mother by saying returning by returning Cora's heart she can finally have a mother that loves her, and now Emma's idiocy endangering her new-found family with Robin and Roland.

Now Regina has done a lot of evil in her life, and karma is definitely a bitch, but enough is enough.

  24. Is there a reason why my comment wasn't approved?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Love it poor Regina though yay! Frozen coming this going to be a long summer

  26. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 03:28

It isn't rape if it's willing. She wasn't that young.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Well, it's definitely rape when a teenager can't consent to sex. But some people make a lot of excuses for rape.

    ReplyDelete
  28. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 03:32

    Can't consent?

    ReplyDelete
  29. As soon as I recognised Marion I knew Emma would f*ck up majorly... My poor baby :(

    ReplyDelete
  30. Um, yeah. Being underage means that you are not able to legally consent to sexual acts with an adult.

    ReplyDelete
  31. She was 18.

    ReplyDelete
  32. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 03:34

To some people. I was a teenager not long ago and I was old enough to understand. What is the difference between 16 and 18? Nothing for me.

    ReplyDelete
  33. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 03:35

lol I didn't remember her age. If that is true this argument was moot.

    ReplyDelete
  34. well, the difference between childhood and adulthood. You're cool with rape, that's...interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  35. She's 28 in season one, and Henry was 9.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Except for math...That damn math, getting in the way of things!

    ReplyDelete
  37. please explain how math doesn't work out.

    ReplyDelete
  38. No, Henry was 10. It's said about ten times in the first few episodes of S1. Including the day of her 28th birthday.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Also it still doesn't matter because the age of consent in New York is 17 anyway. It wasn't Rape get over it.

    ReplyDelete
  40. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 03:37

I'm not. My definition of it is different than yours. And it's stupid to think that I am encouraging it. But she loved him and him her and she was of sound mind and not being forced/pinned down/shamed.

    ReplyDelete
  41. She was likely 16. And they were in Oregon, where it isn't.

    ReplyDelete
  42. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 03:38

I thought she was 19 in jail?

    ReplyDelete
  43. sunni725@att.net12 May 2014 at 03:38

Great finale!! Loved it but I think they will stay true to the original story of the Snow Queen, now that would be a villain.

    ReplyDelete
  44. No because she served 11 months in juvy, that's why her records were sealed.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Henry was 10 on the day Emma turned 28 and his birthday is likely in the winter or spring based on the show. Emma was in juvy for 11 months, meaning she had to get pregnant at 16 in order to have him while in jail at 17.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Now your math sucks.
    16 + 10 = 26+ nine month. maybe 27

    ReplyDelete
  47. dklfjsdlkgjaslkgjglaksjfklsdds OH GOD. THOSE are your definitions for rape?! Oh my dog. Okay, peacing out of here.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I'm not sure what you're trying to say here because none of that makes sense.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I don't think Robin and Regina would have ever made it in the long run, not after he found out Regina was responsible for imprisoning and ordering Marian's death. We all know that kind of secret would've come out eventually. Regina can't escape the karmic payback she is due and I hope she doesn't seek revenge against Emma. Robin and his son deserve to be reunited with Marian. It's not Emma's fault for changing the timeline. It's Rumple's fault for killing Zelena which opened the time portal in the first place. Emma and Hook were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. I love that Emma finally found her home with her parents and son. She also let her guard down and gave into her feelings for Hook. Last but not least, do you wanna built a snowman?

    ReplyDelete
  50. This was so bad I cannot even believe how bad it is. Adam and Eddy want some of that Frozen money, damn.

    ReplyDelete
  51. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 03:42

But she had Henry in jail, they said?

    ReplyDelete
  52. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 03:45

    Jail not juvy?

    ReplyDelete
  53. Yay!!! My armada was setting sail as the winds picked up until one of them was caught by surprise...Rumple and Belle got married, Emma finally admitted her feelings for Hook (about freaking time!!!), and then BAM!!! My outlaw queen ship was sunk...stupid time travel...and I'm not actually that excited for Frozen...I don't actually want to see Elsa be considered a villain when her character in the movie is so amazing and inspiring...why make her a villain?

    ReplyDelete
  54. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 03:47

What is wrong with that definition? I do include emotional impact (shaming) not just physical stuff.

And it would include kids in situations like parents forcing them.

    ReplyDelete
  55. They're the same thing.

    ReplyDelete
  56. It's incredibly narrow.

    ReplyDelete
  57. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 03:50

Not the way I'm referencing them. One is a young "jail" the other for adults (or teens tried as adults).

    ReplyDelete
  58. Ok Read this http://onceuponatime.wikia.com/wiki/Henry_Mills particularly the second paragraph in which it states that regina is trying to find Henry's birth mother due to his illness (when he was a baby freshly adopted). She figures out his was in fact found in the woods 18 EIGHTEEN years ago. So I guess that makes her either 18 at the time of his birth, or shortly thereafter, and 17 at the time of conception. So worst case she was 17 soon to be 18 when they had sex. Not to mention the fact that she was on her own in every other facet of her life. Basically emancipated. It wasn't rape.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Yeah. Jail for juveniles. That's where Emma was.

    ReplyDelete
  60. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 03:52

I'm saying jail for adults. I thought she had Henry in the adult jail.

    ReplyDelete
  61. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 03:53

Good point about emancipation. Teens can do that at 16, right?

    ReplyDelete
  62. Then the records wouldn't have been sealed and she wouldn't have been seventeen. Which she was.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Oh dear GOD. Emancipation does not change actual laws. It does not mean you can drink at that age, it does not mean you can vote, it does not change the age of consent.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Robin and Regina are soulmates! That is all I keep telling myself! I was very happy to see everyone happy! I was so glad when Rumbelle got married, even though that lie is going to come back.

    ReplyDelete
  65. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 03:58

Narrow in paper form. It's a lot more complicated than that. But if it's anything accepted often (high school girls dating college guys) I think it's rather an opinion as it is often allowed, and not necessarily wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  66. L.O.V.E.D. the finale!!! My #outlawqueen 💘 is hurting, but my #captainswan ❤ is soaring. Excited for Fozen! Ill be back to post more once I return from cloud 9. 😂😄😢🙌👏🎆❇☁

    ReplyDelete
  67. Sigh.

Math is always OUAT fans' hardest subject.

If a child is already 10 on the day you turn 28. There is no mathematical or literal way a person you could have been 18 when they were born. Since she was in juvenile jail for eleven months and was already pregnant, how could she have had Henry at 17?

Also, emancipation doesn't negate rape laws.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I feel like ABC/Disney is trying to milk Frozen for all the money they can get. I doubt the story arch will have any real significance to the OUAT universe. As a fan of Froze, I have mixed feelings about the upcoming season.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Look this is the most ridiculously asinine argument the entire internet has ever seen.

I choose to not be a part of it anymore.

We will just have to agree to disagree on the alleged rape in question here.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Sorry, we're going to have to agree to disagree. I'm not in favour of rape ever, even if it's "accepted often".

    ReplyDelete
  71. See my last reply. I am over it.

    ReplyDelete
  72. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 04:01

I'm saying it depends on your definition. YOU think it is, it doesn't mean IT IS!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Wait... Regina and Robin are destined to be together so... What about Elsa killing Marian accidentally ? I just... WANT IT SO BAD, does it make me a horrible person?

    ReplyDelete
  74. Okay. Adult men taking sexual advantage of underage girls is a serious problem. I will continue to find media romanticizing it and people defending it abhorrent and scary. I do understand that not everyone takes this sort of thing as seriously as I do. We will definitely have to agree to disagree. Later!

    ReplyDelete
  75. What's really funny is that you invoked parents. Why do parents need to 'allow' something if the child in question is adult enough to make their own decisions?

    ReplyDelete
  76. Self centered egotistal woman you are. Not a lot of adult perspective in your life I see.

    ReplyDelete
  77. To what are you referring, dear? I do like my adult perspective being insulted though.

    ReplyDelete
  78. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 04:06

You are narrow minded and can't look at individual situations so yeah, we're done cause neither of us are obviously changing our minds.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I know I said I was over it, but here since you are trying to insult my math skills. I admit I may have misremembered the ages in my first comment, but since you admit she turned 28 while Henry was 10 then here is some math for you..

    28-10= 18...
18 minus (nine months) = 17 years and 3 months old at the earliest. So I have no clue how your math is coming up with 16. It is impossible.

    ReplyDelete
  80. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 04:07

Just to point out some people get married at 16!

    ReplyDelete
  81. Narrow minded because I'm not in favour of rape? Wow, that is...a new one. Sharing this one on twitter for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I just knew Regina could not stay good for long or it would get boring. Regina and Rumple are the best two characters on the show and I love them the way they are. Loved the trip back to the past so Emma could finally realize where her home was.
My heart felt so light and happy at the end watching everyone happy and then it got frozen. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  83. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 04:10

WTF? Maybe it's rape to you, but it really depends on definitions of individuals.

    ReplyDelete
  84. ...you realize that people who get married at 16 have to have their PARENTS' permission? Meaning they're children who cannot make adult decisions for themselves so their parents need to make it for them?

    ReplyDelete
  85. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 04:14

But in some COURT ruled decisions they can! It depends on the state and if there was a pregnancy or not.

    ReplyDelete
  86. gerald christie12 May 2014 at 04:14

Sigh…what a terrible episode. They basically undid any developments, rehashed old storylines and frankly frustrated the fuck out of me. It's especially disappointing considering that the show was going through a succession of pretty good episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  87. No...rape is rape.

Alright, that last statement was hilarious though, I'll give you that.

    ReplyDelete
  88. So if statutory rape has already happened then it's okay in some places. Great.

    ReplyDelete
  89. The feels in this episode, my heart can't take it anymore:)
    Frozen my favorite disney film:)
Captain Swan kiss at the end!!! I will die because of this ship. Killian doesn't need to chase her anymore because he finally has her. About time Emma stopped fighting with her feelings for Hook and her family! The ship has finally sailed!

    ReplyDelete
  90. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 04:19

But what is rape? What can it be as defined as.

For an easier example: What is murder? Killing out of cold blood or does it include killing to protect yourself? Can you only kill with the type of weapon someone was threatening you or can you protect yourself with whatever is near? And going for war: Is war murder or is it protecting your country?

I know the 2 subjects are very different, but my point is that IT IS A DEBATE. There is NO clearcut definition.

    ReplyDelete
  91. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 04:21

The law is the law. It is based on the moral of the overall people. And just because you have stricter views on it, doesn't mean it is wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  92. ♥ Love is Strength ♥12 May 2014 at 04:23

    Perfect is not enough!

    ReplyDelete
  93. So, then why were you just saying it was okay if parents allowed it before if the law is the law? I mean, if you're arguing the law is the law, then you definitely agree than Emma's pregnancy was the result of statutory rape because it's the law. Interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Okay, this has devolved into a debate on how many extenuating circumstances someone can find to make it okay for adult men to have sex with children. I'm definitely not cool with OUAT doing it, but people are cool with a lot of the racism, sexism and homophobia of OUAT.

    ReplyDelete
  95. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 04:25

Also if it was an underaged guy we were talking about would this debate be so heated?

    ReplyDelete
  96. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 04:27

If anything it reflects society. Want change? Go talk to the people who can make changes - the law. Shaming me on my opinion won't change anything.

    ReplyDelete
  97. So stop watching the show then. If you seriously think they are "Promoting Rape" then stop watching the friggin show.

In fact I'd like to take an impromptu poll here.

All who believe Emma was raped by Neal Reply to this with the word "rape"

All who thinks that is the most ridiculous thing you have heard in a long time reply with the word "Love"

    ReplyDelete
  98. Those two things aren't mutually exclusive in any way, shape or form. But good job with the adulting.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Good job with verbs...
    Adulting huh?

    ReplyDelete
  100. I figured bad grammar for bad grammar. It seemed only fair.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Yeah there are typos, and there is bad grammar. Those two things are not mutually exclusive in any way, shape, or form.

    ReplyDelete
  102. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 04:37

Because some people don't think they're old enough. Doesn't mean they aren't.

The law for underage sex is a lot more complicated than protecting teens. There's other politics involved and educational reasons, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  103. You forgot to account for her trial, incarceration time and that Henry was born in the late winter/spring.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Right, so you see where I'm going with it being 16 then? 17 and 3 months only works if Henry's birthday is the day before Emma's. Which it isn't.

    ReplyDelete
  105. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 04:54

I thought they said her death caused the portal to open?

If she isn't dead than how did Emma get her powers back?

    ReplyDelete
  106. There are actually plenty of great shows on right now, which is also why I'm not keen on sticking to OUAT.
Watch The Good Wife (makes my top 5 right now), the cast is so awesome it makes me wanna cry, although you'd have some five seasons of catching up. Hannibal is also phenomenal, but it's creepy (creepy as in way more than Walking Dead creepy). And GoT, but I think virtually everyone already watches that anyway, you're probably no exception.

My comedies are Veep (AWESOME), Parks and Rec ('cause Amy Poehler) and Silicon Valley (it's kind of specific for a certain viewer, but if you are that viewer, you'll like it a lot).

I'd also recommend Mad Men, but it is not for everyone. The show is rather slow, but the writing is top-notch. And Masters of Sex, which will come back in June or July (not sure which), and had both main actors kicking ass in S1, which special kicking-assness by Allison Janney. Lastly, if you really have the time, go for Bates Motel. Vera Farmiga is just perfect in that show and there's not much catching up to be done (only two 10-episode seasons).

    ReplyDelete
  107. Kaalyn Johnson12 May 2014 at 04:56

WHOA big ass debate from one little comment that I didn't see coming.

I don't think he's a dirt-bag so much for dating Emma when she was 17/18, I think he's a dirtbag because that's how they wrote him in Season 2. Dude went along with the worlds worst plan to set her up, let her do jail time for a crime he committed, and then instead of making things right like he promised, he got sweet digs in NYC and got engaged to some random chick he met on the street one day. One little "I love you" in the Season 2 finale and everyone on the show treats like him a swell dude, which is unearned. It's the same reason I think Dawson Leery or Brandon Walsh or Dan Humphrey were total D-bags. They acted like assclowns and the show continued one with the narrative that they were good people.

Even in Season 3 when they wrote him as some big martyr, always willing to suffer to save Emma and Henry, they had him do shit like use a 5 year old as bait (after a big speech about how horrible Pan is, too). He's just a bit of a shit heel.

I have no dog in the shipping wars here, but I thought he was shitty and that's all I wanted to say: I hope they just let him stay in the past now.

    ReplyDelete
  108. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 04:56

I agree with everything you've said here.

I wasn't an Emma/Hook shipper either, though I have been warming up to it, especially after him earning points with me for trying to talk sense to Emma.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Nah, Neal was definitely not within three years of Emma, even if you don't count the 150 years age difference and only go by "our world" puts him six years older than Emma.

    ReplyDelete
  110. The Good Wife has long been my favourite, but I'm so far behind this season (and even more so in terms of actually CAPPING it).

Veep is one of my faves as well. I've heard good things about Hannibal, Masers of Sex and Bates Motel.

I'm really not in favour of GoT right now. It just veers so far away from the narrative of the books (not that it's necessarily a bad thing because I'm usually cool with it) in a way that really seems to be geared towards sexualized violence against women.

    ReplyDelete
  111. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 05:00

There's still those 3 other months of play.

    ReplyDelete
  112. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 05:03

We can keep going at this all night because it's a lot more complicated than that.

    ReplyDelete
  113. I've done my due diligence here. If you can come up with the exact date of her trial, the age she was at that time, and exactly how long that was from the night of consensual Bowchickawowow, then you might have something.

Otherwise I'm quite happy with the show myself, and have no reason to try to disprove myself. It never once occurred to me that OUaT was pushing me to accept a rape. Thus the ball is in your court, the burden of proof is yours as they say.

Problem is the show itself has not given us exact numbers. It has given us arbitrary ages. You know why they did that? Not to perpetrate a rape, but to allow for some wiggle room whilst writing flashbacks later in the series.

It is VERY apparent to me that you have some issue here with the show itself, the writers, or because your ship didn't pan out or something. I'm sorry if you are angry.

And lastly I would NEVER EVER under any circumstance approve of rape in any form, but we are talking about a fictional show here. I believe you are giving the writers too much credit if you really think they sat there and dreamed up a rape for us to digest.

Do you in all seriousness really think Adam Horowitz, a father of two very young twin girls, would actually allow his show to perpetuate a thing as horrible as rape?

    Come on...

  114. Tell me about it. D&D have managed to turn GoT into the machist festival. And making everything worse by actually spoiling the books! It's remarkable, if you think about it. But, you know, there's always Tyrion to look forward to.

Oh, do catch up with TGW. This season is crazy good. And sad. And everything mixed up together. But the writing is sensational, really.

Oh, and I totally forgot but watch House of Cards (Kevin Spacey is so ridiculously good in his part there's people saying he might take Bryan Cranston's Emmy. Which will not happen, otherwise Spacey might be murdered be a crazy Walter White fan, but still) and Orange is the new black. If you like female power, OITNB is like candy.

He did do a lot of wrong, like half of the show's characters. But the show is all about people making mistakes and trying to make up for them. That's what Neal tried to do in the end. Considering how he grew up of course he'll be screwed up and make bad decisions.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Well, the burden of proof is pretty easy. Considering Emma was obviously under 18. I don't really have a ship on Once Upon a Time to be upset so that one is out.

I don't think they dreamed up a rape to digest, I think they didn't think about the consequences of what they're writing, hence writing lines like "Take him to my bedchamber" after making a man a slave, calling him a pet and roughly kissing him.

And yes, I do think that Adam Horowitz would do that. If someone is not in their right mind a person cannot consent to sex. Like Graham and Regina. That was obviously a very long term, non-consensual relationship because as soon as the curse was (for him) broken, he no longer wanted that relationship. Likewise, forcing a teenage girl, through violence and coercion, to marry a much, much older man implies coerced sex. Likewise, an adult man having sex with an underage teenager implies statutory sexual abuse. That they don't think things through and then blow off the implications doesn't mean its not there.

The show also has a serious issue with homophobia and racism.

They never said it was right. It's up to the fans if they forgive Regina, Rumple, etc. despite what they've done. It has not been said what they did wasn't awful.

    ReplyDelete
  127. I get it. You are a bleeding heart. There is nothing wrong with that, but it is a show for God's sake. It is considered art. Art is subjective so you can have any opinion on it that you please. That doesn't mean you are not delusional though.

I guess it's homophobic because Emma and Regina aren't getting gay married right? I hate to tell you but that ain't homophobia.

If I want to write a song about two people (male and female) who fall in love, then you can't call it homophobia. On the other hand If i write a song, that says Jane is in love with linda, but linda beat jane up to get her away from her, then we have homophobia.

Just because there isn't a gay character, or there isn't homosexuality being portrayed in something doesn't mean it is homophobic. That would be like saying because something wasn't blue it was green, when it is really actually orange.

The world is not one way or the other, it is one way or another.
the world is not black and white it is a billion shades of grey.

    ReplyDelete
  128. I love how you ignored every other comment I made and focused on only that one.
I'm going by "our world" because that's what you're talking about with laws, as Blue Star pointed out, it might be legal in fairytale land, who knows. And also I found a post showing he's four years older, so I do have to consent there are laws in relation to it, but again it's only sexual abuse (which is a misdemeanor), not rape.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Yeah, but Cersei... I mean, is that even Cersei anymore? The character is so different in the books I have difficulty identifying with the show on that aspect (though I have to hand it to Lena, she is awesome in the part).

Do finish House of Cards. But take it slow 'cause freaking Netflix takes forever to release new stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Why would I want Regina to be with someone as obnoxious as Emma?

But yes, in a show with dozens upon dozens of heterosexual relationships, not having a single one being same sex is pretty homophobic.

Just for the record though, your example doesn't make any sense at all.

Sexual abuse is another phrase for rape.

And okay, as far as a post. But Emma was born October 22/23, 1983 and Neal's birthday as seen on screen is March 23, 1977. That's 6 years.

    Everything is legal in FTL.

  136. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 05:30

I was being sarcastic about the fairytale comment FYI, but it could be a point. If the law defines what it is, what happens when the laws are different depending on the state/country.

Ex. It's legal for arranged marriages in some countries for 13 and 40 year olds, etc. Most people (at least in more industrial countries) believe this is very wrong (like I do) but it's normal for that group. HOWEVER there is emotional and physical reasons why this is wrong (the girl is forced and the guy goes into the relationship wanting kids with her asap).

Because there is psychological and other reasons behind this it is wrong.

A relationship between 2 people not more than several years apart and in a relationship of love can't possibly so terrible that it can strike such hatred.

    ReplyDelete
  137. I had to go back and refresh my memory. Yep it does seem she is dead, but what if the green smoke monster was her essence activating the portal, and that she isn't truly dead? I haven't entirely closed the book on Zelena yet myself.

I guess I just want her to really be gone.

    ReplyDelete
  142. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 05:47

A big problem is Regina finds every excuse to blame someone else instead of what she did in her past.

If she's meant to be with Robin, she will be, no matter what Emma did (which was only save Marion from Regina - a past that would have probably come out and ruined her relationship eventually anyway), however if she gets angry at the world and does something bad, that's not going to increase her chances.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Regina's face was heartbreaking. Also that final scene definitely made me wanna check up next season, I hope it's a better villain cause I truly hated the green witch, and not in a love-to-hate way.

    ReplyDelete
  144. So The L word was Heterophobic then? What about Orange is the new black?
Again you choose to see it in terms of black or white, when the truth is many shades of grey.

I think it was pretty obvious the Mulan has feelings for Whatshername sleeping Beauty. Yeah they never went there, but that doesn't make them homophobic. They have a right to free speech, and if they chose to be subtle about it like that instead of GAY PRIDE PARADE blatant then it is their prerogative.

I have a group of friends in my personal life, but none of them are gay, as far as I know, but that doesn't mean I'm homophobic it just means that I haven't found a gay friend yet. Isn't it possible that perhaps the show will eventually go there? Isn't it also possible that they won't since they are following well known fairy tales that don't have gay people in them historically too?

Not everything has to have a gay person in it. That doesn't make it homophobic. See the logic there?

Lets look at it with another example here.

Hydrophobic - It means to repel water right?
Well just because i never get my laptop wet doesn't mean it is hydrophobic. It just means I choose not to get water on it.

    Here's another

Claustrophobic - the fear of small or cramped spaces.
I may never have put myself into a small box, or a suitcase, or a tiny closet, or any other number of tiny spaces, but that doesn't mean i am Claustrophobic, it just means I have not gotten into a small space, and don't have any reason to get into one, nor do I foresee a circumstance in which I will ever get into a small confined space. But I still could do it if need be.

    Arachnophobia- The fear of spiders.

I don't have a pet spider, I must be Arachnophobic. I just killed a spider that got on me, I must hate those things.

A phobia is an irrational fear of something. Not a lack of something. It is not logical.

  146. exactly and i think that`s where they are going for her in next season, she has to accept what she did was bad altho she has said it and she said she doesnt regret one thing of what she did.

Marion is going to be a problem i can already seeing her try to get vengeance on the Queen cause of what she wanted to do (killed her) and out of jealosy cause i think once she sees Robin and the Queen are together she is going to be more upset and how this is OUAT we are talking about she is going to do something stupid that will have her killed and Robin will blame Regina.

  152. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 06:01

  153. Kaalyn Johnson12 May 2014 at 06:03

The problem is that the show did not acknowledge his "mistakes" as mistakes. If Regina or Rumple pull something, you can be sure it will come back around to them in some form or another because the show recognizes their actions as needing consequences, and it's part of their story-arcs. In the case of Neal, the writers didn't even seem to acknowledge they were writing an unlikable character.

Neal was written as a Gary Stu love interest for too much of his tenure on the show. You basically have Charming and Snow pushing Emma to give him another chance because "he's her true love" when any reasonable father, after hearing what he pulled, would more likely want to punch him in the face. We never got that scene or any scene like it. All we got was a teary "we can't because you hurt me" speech from Emma in Neverland.

    ReplyDelete
  154. I think that is my new favourite episode!!! I feel bad for Regina but at the same time, story wise, she's amazing soft and angry. Either way, she nails her part. If Marion is meant to die and them be together, they will. If not, perhaps the future changed and she's meant to be with someone else now. Anywho, I love the Charming's <3 I love Emma! Yes, I want Regina to have her happy ending but I want Emma to as well. I think I got enough of Regina happy moments to sate me for a while. In the meantime I will hold onto all the amazing moments from that ep and wait impatiently for all the excitement of season 4!!! Season 3 rocked! (erased season 2, post ep 3)

Overall I really liked the episode, but the whole thing about bringing Robin Hood's wife back to the future was a little bit too much for me. Regina didn't deserve that, and if she shifts into villain mode again I'm gonna be furious at the writers

    ReplyDelete
  163. Neal didn't rape her, she was at least 18 and we have no idea how old he was at the time and they clearly appeared to be in love whenever the sex started going on. I do think it sucks that he left her because freaking Pinocchio told him to but he didn't realize she was pregnant at the time. I have no doubt he would have told August to frack off if he knew.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Ooo, that's the family she needed to get back to perhaps. Maybe she didn't tell Robin about the wanting to kill her part. Or maybe that's why he had an attitude toward her in FTL and then they formed their connection when they didn't remember. I don't know, actually I don't even care. I don't like to pick apart the show and ruin it for myself :) I'm a go with the flo kinda gal. Hehe

  167. BlueStar (aka CP)12 May 2014 at 06:40

Good point about FTL, but I always thought them not getting together during the months in fairytale land was more because of Regina. What I got from it was Regina had more of a barrier up than Robin did and that is why they didn't end up together. It still leaves why Robin still dove into a relationship with her even after he remembered.

    ReplyDelete
  168. I don't think we're going to see Regina revert back to her old ways. She'll be angry, and upset, but I don't think she'll go back to being the Evil Queen.

and sorry. but just because some of us don't happen to agree with you that doesn't mean our opinions are any less valid. law is law and I find it hilarious when people star with the whole "it depends on the situation", that's the worse defense ever! If other want to defend the couple that's their right as well but the law is clear.
And just because I happen to find that there was rape in the series, it does not mean I wanna stop seeing it, nor does it mean that other can't simply go and send me to watch something else because I disagree with them

And BTW I am 30 years old, have a bachelor in law and am a psychologist, so age or intelligence, does not disqualified me from my opinions

Didn't Belle keep Rumple from killing Robin when Robin broke into Rumple's castle and stole the fairy wand to cure his pregnant wife? Seems like Marian didn't die in Regina's place somehow.

    ReplyDelete
  187. Oh yeah thanks, I know they do that, but it would be nice for her to be as she was in Frozen and just be locked up because of her powers, just my opinion :) I know they always change the fairytales around.

  190. I hated it. For 3 seasons they were trying to redeem Regina and to make her good and they just screw everything up with just 2 episode. Sorry i didn't like it.

    ReplyDelete
  191. If you want a show with great female characters try Orphan Black.

    ReplyDelete
  192. Agreed. I disliked it for many reasons. That is one of the main ones -- though I do think Regina was trying to still hold on at the end which is why she said hope nothing else came through. But still, bad ending, and rather pointless episode.

    ReplyDelete
  193. Talk about "shipper." Hook gave his ship up to make the ship happen. But really I felt the story was overdone. A copy of Back to the Future. Maybe a 45 min episode mid-season, but not a finale, it was anti-climatic to say the least. While Regina wasn't evil at the end, I hope they keep her not-evil, despite the blow.

    ReplyDelete
  194. Another reason I felt this was a poor finale: basically it was a copy of Back to the Future, with scenes which replicate events in Back to the Future (albeit as variations of them: the book=Marty's pictures; Marty's father's meeting diverted by Marty =Emma stopping Snow, even both involved trees; ball/dance; Hook punching himself out=Biff being knocked out; Rumple=Doc Brown).

Because of this, I expect: Rumple didn't drink the point, and remembered, so he found a way to change time and save his son. And I expect the villain next year is like Biff from the future.

    ReplyDelete
  195. Nope, I agree she has to die. It's destiny lol. She will die one way or another I think.

    ReplyDelete
  196. I expect Neal is back next season. Rumple didn't take a potion to forget, just like Doc Brown read the letter.

    ReplyDelete
  197. Oh, and until they revealed it was Marion, I was thinking she was going to be the surprise big bad for the next season. That, imo, would have been better than the route they went.

    ReplyDelete
  198. Oh and another thing: the writers don't know what a CORONATION is? Really?! It's not a naming ceremony.... just a clue.
