This table shows the early overnight ratings. These ratings are normally adjusted later in the day when all the ratings have been consolidated to take into account any local preemptions and/or overruns. You can find all the final adjusted numbers in our Ratings Database. (See the About section below for details about ratings)
Can't see the tables? Check out our Troubleshooting Guide
Each day (except Sunday) during the main TV Season we post the TV Ratings for the previous nights primetime shows for the major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, NBC). Cable Network ratings will be added to the Ratings Database.
The first item that gets posted (normally around 2pm GMT) is the early overnight analysis based on the early household numbers (these are not the same as the Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers that are posted later).
Next, if available, we will post the Top 25 Market 18-49 Ratings to give you a rough idea of the ratings to following.
Later on (normally between 4pm-5pm GMT) we post the official early overnight Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers in the table above.
Finally, later in the evening (10pm-11pm GMT) or the following day, the final adjusted ratings numbers are released, these are then posted in the Ratings Database. The Final Adjusted numbers are what we use for all our Renew/Cancellation Tables, Full Season Tables, Ratings Scorecards etc (see below). Friday's Final Adjusted Ratings are normally available on the following Monday.
If you’re interested in Ratings/Renewals/Cancellations then we have a number of resources here at SpoilerTV that we recommend you check out.
OMG! RESURRECTION!
ReplyDeleteI hope Revenge actually goes up from those preliminary numbers
I am in shock with those Ressurection numbers
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel. I'm really happy that ABC has finally landed a hit, but... but... I just can't believe it! I thought it would do 2.5 at most!
ReplyDelete4,1 for Resurrection? I expected it to be hit, but not this big :O
ReplyDeleteIm going to watch it today, i hope that quality equals the numbers :)
I was expectinga 1.9 or at most a 2.5
ReplyDeleteWHOA at Resurrection, that's good for the top 25, hopefully it doesn't go down much.
ReplyDelete4.1 for Resurrection? Woow, I expected high numbers, but 4.1?! Now I feel sorry about Once Upon A Time. I hope it adjusts up. Also, bad for Revenge.
ReplyDeleteWoah is that a typo or is that really 4.1 for Resurrection??? OMG wow. Is this ABC's first hit this season??? Hoping it helped out Revenge!!!
ReplyDeleteWOW @ Resurrection, and I hope that's good news for Revenge. If Resurrection doesn't slide *too* much in coming weeks, Revenge will have an awesome lead-in, yay.
ReplyDeleteYeah! At least Revenge is going to do good for the 10PM timeslot, the only bad thing is that it dropped off a lot from Resurrection, but it can turn things around in coming weeks.
ReplyDeleteABC must be all over the moon right, this might be their best Sunday on seasons!
holy fuck resurrection
ReplyDeleteOMG!!!Resurrection!!! Love that show a lot!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm really, really happy that Resurrection came through as a hit! It could fall all the way back to 3.0 in the finals and still be a great hit! I just hope it didn't hurt The Good Wife a lot.
ReplyDeleteThe early ratings for Revenge are ok, even great for a 10PM show, but still I wish it did better considering how huge Resurrection did
What about CBS shows?
ReplyDeleteNo early numbers yet, the early top 25 markets only get out to the public time to time and just for certains show.
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping that if the final demo is equally high that it doesn't drop and drop. Hope for stability!
ReplyDeleteI am majorly surprised at Resurrection's ratings.
ReplyDeleteNo way! Quite shocking that Resurrection (potentially) has such a high demo number. Can't really believe that.
ReplyDeleteYou are not alone.
ReplyDeleteWho would have thought that Resurrection would be ABC's freshman savior?
That makes two of us!
ReplyDeleteThose numbers for Resurrecition.. I'm in complete awe. I never would have thought it would premiere so huge.
ReplyDelete*fingers crossed for The Mentalist*
ReplyDeleteIt's a "resurrection" for ABC!
ReplyDeleteyeah...wasn't TWD, True Detective and Cosmos on at the same time?
ReplyDeletePaul lee might have just secured his job
ReplyDeleteOnce Upon a Time : 2.4 - YAY!!!!
ReplyDeleteI too hope it hasn't hurt The Good Wife too much.
ReplyDeleteExactly! And given the history of freshman ABC shows of this season (except SHIELD) and how new Sundays shows on ABC have done in general, I wasn't expecting more than 1.8-1.9.
ReplyDeleteNice going Resurrection! ABC finally did something right!
ReplyDeleteAnd OUaT is staying the course...
The jokes are writting itself as the day in which ABC Sunday was ressurected!
ReplyDeleteHoly shit Resurrection! ABC finally has a midseason hit! I may start watching it now.
ReplyDeleteI'd wait to call it a hit (remember Marvel's Agents of Shield start). If it will be able to mantain ratings of 2.5-3.0 on the next weeks, it will be impressive and Abc would be really happy.
ReplyDeleteYou have no ratings for CBS, Amazing Race, Good Wife and Mentalist ?
ReplyDeleteA FREACKING 3.6 FOR RESURRECTION!
ReplyDeleteABC Sundays resurrected!
nope they are the right ratings for Resurrection RT TVMoJoe: ABC lives! RESURRECTION debuts to 13.3M viewers and a 3.6 A18-49. Builds at half hour.
ReplyDeleteWow for Resurrection. It was going up against Walking Dead, Cosmos(little disappointed by those numbers) and The Good Wife and it still pulled a 4.1? That is the definition of a hit.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as they come in they will be posted.
ReplyDeleteSame here. I was going to skip it because I already have my share of freshman shows that will be cancelled this year (Enlisted, The Tomorrow People, The Crazy Ones, Almost Human most likely, Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, Intelligence, Star-Crossed... wow it's a lot lol), so I was going to skip another one because the trailers were just ok for me. But with these numbers I will certainly try it out!
ReplyDeleteFANTASTIC! Fingers crossed that number doesn't change too much as we get the final ratings! :D
ReplyDeleteOh a 3.6 well that's slightly less but still GODDAMN that is impressive
ReplyDeleteIronically, I think that's the worst thing that could happen to ABC!
ReplyDeleteThe joke is writing itself as the day in which ABC Sundays was ressurected!
ReplyDelete@Pierre Yes we know. They have not been released yet
ReplyDeleteJust wow
ReplyDeleteI watched it last night. It was good, certainly not awesome, but beautifully made. It's really nice to look, the photography is amazing and the show is colorful. I felt the show was a nice breathe of air and nice changing pace for what I usually watch. Interesting, intriguing and smooth
ReplyDeleteYou should check out 'The Returned' I started yesterday,it is well worth the time and Resurrection pales in comparison.
ReplyDeleteFor a midseason show!! Amazing!
ReplyDelete@DarkUFO , Do-you know the notes?
ReplyDeleteGo revrnge
ReplyDeleteWhat are "the notes" ?
ReplyDeleteJust because he picked up the right drama at the right timeslot that doesn't excuse how horribly he has messed up with the schedule all season long. He still needs to be fired, I hope Resurrection it's not his saving grace
ReplyDeleteEveryone should be watching The Mentalist.
ReplyDeleteNext week is important, wish Resurrection won't drop like what SHIELD did.
ReplyDeleteNice numbers for all ABC shows! Glad they found a decent combination. Next week is the true test
ReplyDeleteEven if it does, a drop of a 1.6 (ala Shield) would leave it at a 2.0 and that's still renewal worthy (especially for ABC). I don't think it will drop that hard, I predict it to be among the 3.2-3.4 range
ReplyDeletenot just next week actually the next 3- weeks cause agent of shield started well too lol
ReplyDelete2.3 for Once Upon A Time is still MASSIVELY better than what it had been getting! Guess the hype + No Football really helped.
ReplyDeleteConsidering Cosmos was on 6 different networks they did very well last night. Can't wait to see the Live +7!
ReplyDeletecan't be worse than the epic failure that shield was lol
ReplyDeleteKudos to ABC, I have seen promo spots for Resurrection everywhere. 3.6 is not bad at all. Will probably be their highest show of the week. Though coming weeks are the real test.
ReplyDeletei was hoping for a 2.5 but it's still good xD
ReplyDeleteThat seems a bit optimistic. I'd say a 2.6-2.9 maybe. I don't think it'll stay in the 3's.
ReplyDeleteRevenge at 1.9! Best numbers since episode 2 :D
ReplyDeleteWish it was higher though, but I'll take it!
It will more than likely drop during the next few weeks,i wouldn't get my hopes up.
ReplyDeleteAnd The Mentalist ?
ReplyDeleteI think it will stay there because it grew over the course of the half hours, but who knows?
ReplyDeleteOMG YES OUAT + REVENGE!!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to wait until next week before I start guessing, personally. If next week is in the 3's, I'm going to go and guess it will stay in the 3's for the majority of its episodes. If it drops to the 2's next Sunday, I think it will stay in the 2's and not return to the 3's (maybe except for the finale). But I'm getting way ahead of myself. Just so thrilled by these numbers! :D
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of not surprised Resurrection did so well. It was promoted heavily and pretty much everywhere. I even saw billboards for it going on a road trip yesterday. whoever did the marketing job for the show got it so right.
ReplyDeleteBest line-up ever
ReplyDeleteIt did? I didn't see those numbers that is quite impressive. I still expect it to drop to a 2.8 stay consistent, but when Walking Dead concludes in 3 weeks it's probably going to skyrocket back up into the 3's. Either way it should be fine
ReplyDeletegood start for resurrection, but I watched it and I found it meh, the script is full of holes.
ReplyDeleteRevenge ratings sound no good.
I generally think that's what people should avoid doing which I guess why adaptations don't do well sometimes. We need to give the series room to breathe and develop because it may become the middle child
ReplyDeleteOn paper they don't, a drop off from 3.6 to 1.9 is not really good, but if you consider how the show was doing on 9PM, it's actually pretty good
ReplyDeleteits up 6 tenths from its last eps and had its best ratings since eps2
ReplyDeleteSpeaking as someone who loves TV shows mostly for the characters, plot holes are to expected in all TV shows. The fact that there are TV series out there that do have the "best-written" awards along with them just means the network really wanted it to reach that level. We have 20+ seasons of CSI and its spin-offs (all chock-full of reality holes and still hugely successful), so I don't think that's going to hurt Resurrection too much.
ReplyDeleteRevenge did well but to be fair it did have a powerhouse lead-in helping it. OUAT also did well considering we're talking about ABC in which the average for a scripted drama is 1.7, but I kind of thought it could hit a 2.5 after that amazing midseason finale.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the drop off isn't good, but hey! Best numbers since episode 2!
ReplyDeleteIf Revenge stays close in that range ABC can glue it there for two more seasons (or even more, but I have always seen season 5 as the excellent ending point). I'm also glad to think it's ABC 2nd highest rated 10PM performer (only behind Scandal)

I agree with this guy. I love spin-offs and adaptations, often even more than their original work, so even if The Returned is technically better, I actually tend to not care about the original work and think of all spin-offs and adaptations as their own separate work of the same source material (which, I guess, is exactly what they are :P at least sometimes)
ReplyDeleteIf Resurrection continues to do well, I cOuld see CBS swap time slots for TM and TGW, which woukd NOT make me happy.
ReplyDeleteABC has to be pleased with these numbers, especially the second hour. Wow!
ReplyDeleteRevenge half hour drop is kind of worriesome, but that 1.6 is still up from what it was doing at 9PM. Next week could be better, steady or just fall a little, but I don't see Revenge bombing at 10PM
ReplyDeleteHappy Once is above 2.0 again since its last episode was or two were 1.9.
ReplyDeletei really do think abc needs to move their shows away from sunday - look how good they do without football
ReplyDeleteRevenge half hour. 2.1- 1.6 with a lead in 3.6 it sounds worst now :O
ReplyDeleteYes i agree.Everyone should give this a go,but i also think The Returned should be seen especially if they like this version.
ReplyDeleteSometime in the future, when streaming and traditional TV schedules are irrelevant, you will have your blessing and football won't be a concern for our favorite series anymore :) hehe
ReplyDeleteIt's not good, surely, but if it stays in that range ABC will be happy. I say we see how it does next week.
ReplyDeleteWow that's a huge half-hour to half-hour drop for Revenge. :O
ReplyDeleteI think it will adjust down though. The drop at the half-hour is quite discouraging, since it went all the way from a 2.1 to a 1.6. Even for 10pm Sundays, that seems a bit excessive. I wish it would just break a 2.0 and stay there.
ReplyDeleteYes Mentalist has an audience of 9.94 million viewers for a rate of 1.5 -1.6 is good for the audience but for the 49 years-18 rate is average :/
ReplyDeleteGood for OUAT!
ReplyDeleteWhoa at Resurrection's numbers.
Yeah, I'm the same. It may sound like I'm making excuses, but I think next week Revenge could be steady.
ReplyDeleteI mean, Revenge is no stranger to half hour drop off, I remember one time it had a 1.5-1,1 and ended in a 1.3. People thought the show was done for and then, BAM! 1.8 upon return in January. We have to wait till next week to figure out how Revenge will do in its new timeslot
You forget to put the rate of 18-49 The Mentalist Table
ReplyDeleteWe don't have it yet. When we do we will add it.
ReplyDeleteYeah that is actually true and I like that way of seeing things.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it takes a little while until they show up in the spreadsheets. If I have my facts correct, Google Sheets is used for this, and while it saves automatically, it takes a few minutes for it to refresh on all public places where it is available.
ReplyDeleteResurrection did a 5.4 among women 18-34 demo doubling Good Wife's 2.7. Resurrection also grew in half hours.
ReplyDeleteLike Sherlock and Elementary then. Both good but some would say one is superior where I like to think they are great in their own formats
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get that demo information? Very curious to know.
ReplyDeleteBiggest shocker of the season.
ReplyDeleteWow, pretty impressive
ReplyDeleteamazing, this show is a completely breakout success!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I had kind of decided to move Nashville off the bubble section and consider it a likely renewal but this Ressurection situation complicates its situation a lot. I am not sure what will happen to it now
ReplyDeleteJoe Adalian (TV Mojoe) on Twitter. I follow him.
ReplyDeleteWhat ?! HOW ?! Eh ? Ressurection had litterally NOTHING going for it, no huge names or anything...
ReplyDeleteI'm positively surprised, haven't seen it but wowza
Thank you! :D
ReplyDeleteI heard they would use the Emmy's to promote their shows and apparently that worked. Even 1.9 for Revenge is tying their second-highest rating this season, at 10pm and when we've almsot entered spring. Dayum!
ReplyDeleteAgreed, Nashville is standing on one very instable leg atm.
ReplyDeleteRessurection being such a hit isn't going to help
Funny coincidence but House alumnis are having much success in their post House shows. Jennifer Morisson with OUAT, Jess Spencer with Chicago Fire and now Omar Epps with Ressurection. Olivia Wilde next?
ReplyDeleteI'd say Omar Epps is a big name. But maybe that's just me.
ReplyDeleteI know.I was hoping Reserrection would flop cause I want Nashville renewed but Reserecction was a hit(at least for the premire) isn't good for Nashville.
ReplyDeleteRevenge needs to hit 2.0 again and my life will be complete. C'mon show, you're soooooo close...
ReplyDeleteResurrection can lend like half a point to Revenge and I'll be cool. Haha. They don't need it for long, just for the next two months... :D
ReplyDeleteNo analysis from Marc Berman? I can't see it ...
ReplyDeleteViewers don't matter much
ReplyDeletesince I just had to google his name to remember who he is I'd say no. But I never watcher House MD...
ReplyDeleteNot as big of a name as Robert Carlyle tough. Also not bigger than James Cromwell (and his show is currently failing)
There wasn't one today/
ReplyDeletehe is shocking because his lovely show got amazing ratings. lol
ReplyDeleteIt seems that *heavy* promotion from ABC was indeed successful.
ReplyDeleteThe early HH ratings were delayed due to the clocks changing.
ReplyDeleteprobably has to recover from the shock Ressurection gave him
ReplyDelete3.6 is is still pretty impressive of Resurrection, but next week's ratings are really important. For all we know, it could majorly drop next week.
ReplyDeleteNo idea who he is, lol.
ReplyDeleteof course it could still drop heavily but dem numbers are still impressive.
ReplyDeleteYes,exactly!
ReplyDelete3.7 actually. (9:30 to 10:00 half hour)
ReplyDeleteDr. Eric Foreman (2004-2012) on FOX's House
ReplyDeleteIt could majorly drop next week, but I remember in 2011 when OUAT premiered it had a 3.9 from 8-8:30 and a 4.0 from 8:30-9. And the very next week it only dropped a tenth. So Resurrection could majorly drop next week or maybe it won't.
ReplyDeleteRevenge is one of the most unstable shows on TV this year in terms of ratings so it's always hard to predict how it's gonna fare... as you said, it went from 1.3 to 1.8! I'm sure Resurrection and the promos showed at the Oscars account largely (though not entirely) for its ratings yesterday, but who knows if it won't continue to fluctuate. I just hope it stays north of 1.5 until the end of the season and doesn't give us any anxiety. I still hope it'll manage to hit 2.0 and above again, but maybe I shouldn't get too optimistic.
ReplyDeleteBut promotion doesn't always mean huge ratings.
ReplyDeletethe show which is in problems it is NOT Nashville, is CASTLE, it has worst ratings than Nashville in 18-34 and w18-34. Sadly we will see it on the bubble soon.
ReplyDeleteI was not wrong when some weeks ago I wrote here that Castle was on a downhill, not only in numbers. :/
yes, 3.7, your're right!
ReplyDeleteLet's cross our fingers!
ReplyDeleteI think he means Berman's analysis.
ReplyDeleteI am a little worried for The Amazing Race, I it had huge competition in the last two weeks, but not hitting at least a 2.0 this week as well is a little worrisome.
ReplyDeleteWith the year that ABC has had with its final, I thought Resurrection would've done a 1.0 at most you know so when I saw that it did 3.6 ... I just couldn't handle it!
ReplyDelete+ the numbers of both OUAT and Revenge are amazing compared to 3A
True. I was thinking about the difference with LOST alumnis: some of them continued huge (like Emilie de Ravin and Michael Emerson) but the most performed on lowest contexts (Josh Holloway and Naveen Andrews almost bombed on their latest lead roles on tv, Matthew Fox almost disappeared).
ReplyDeleteThis is great for Mentalist, I'm surprised that the series réunnit over 1 million viewers and a higher rate +0.3 points compared leader-in The Good Wife.
ReplyDeleteGood for the series and for the fans.
OMFG I'm so glad Resurrection premieres kind of big i was afraid the show will sink and a great night for ABC hope the ratings continue this way
ReplyDeleteMatthew Fox, which to this day is still one of my favorite actors EVER (tv and otherwise), said repeatedly that he would not want to do TV for a long time after Lost (as did Evangeline Lily too). I don't think Naveen Andrews or Emilie de Ravin had star power to bring people to their series per se, so I don't think we can associate them with what happened to their shows. Same with Elizabeth Mitchell, Daniel Dae Kim, Yunkin Kim, Jorge Garcia and Ian Somerhalder (and you have there a nice mix of success and flop shows). Terry O'Quinn not working was mildly surprising but then again, I never understood the massive rejection that 666 had as it seemed to be so on brand with ABC and it was actually proper scheduled. The one I am most shocked with is Josh Holloway as I really thought he was the biggest Lost star so I thought that would at least carry Intelligence to a higher ground in its first season.
ReplyDeleteGlad Revenge got up :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm very happy about Once. Hopefully with the new creative streak they've hit, the ratings for that show will continue to climb.
ReplyDeletePredicted it too. The entire year TM had higher demos than TGW and the only time it was equal was with that NFL lead in. One time. It would have been great if TM was at 9.
ReplyDeleteI haven't watched Resurrection but I'd say it will fall quickly...granted I thought the same about the Blacklist but I was clearly wrong.
ReplyDeleteI guess that indicates that a lot of viewers did flock from Resurrection to Revenge, and tuned out over the course of the night. Still, if Revenge bottoms out at 1.6 that's good news considering it's done worse this season.
ReplyDeleteResurrection just didn't want to make life easy for ya. ;)
ReplyDeleteYeah for Resurrection. This show is great. Happy for OUAT too (2.1 is good!) .
ReplyDeleteABC definitely works hard to provide employment for Lost's cast, doesn't it? It mean, it does a lot of "actor recycling" in general, like The CW, but the Lost actors in particular.... Emilie de Ravin, Alan Dale and Jorge Garcia on OUaT, plus Terry O'Quinn, Naveen Andrews, Elizabeth Mitchell, Dom Monaghan and Sonia Walger (both on FlashForward), Yunjin Kim, etc. all found new ABC gigs afterwards. Maybe it's the network's way of showing gratitude for how big Lost was.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy for Resurrection and my favorite Once Upon a Time
ReplyDeleteCosmos ratings across 10 networks: 8.5m with 2.9 A18-49.
ReplyDeletePlot twist: You're The Clairvoyant from Agents of SHIELD. XD
ReplyDeletehttp://www.deadline.com/2014/03/olivia-wilde-hbo-rock-n-roll-drama-martin-scorsese-mick-jagger-terence-winter/
Ahah! Major yes by the way! I love Olivia Wilde and I was absolutely crazy for Thirteen, I miss her!
ReplyDelete
