Mariana Klaveno cast in Kevin Williamson Drama Pilot

Mariana Klaveno (Devious Maids, True Blood) has been cast in CBS’ untitled Kevin Williamson drama pilot. Written by Williamson and directed by Liz Friedlander, the psychological thriller revolves around two detectives, Beth and Jack (McDermott), who handle stalking incidents for the Threat Assessment Unit of the LAPD. Klaveno plays Janice, one of the unit’s detectives who often is underestimated because of her somewhat flashy appearance.

Selfie - David Harewood to Co-Star

Homeland alum David Harewood is taking a comedic turn with a supporting role in ABC’s single-camera comedy pilot Selfie, written by Emily Kapnek and directed by Julie Anne Robinson. It centers on Eliza Dooley (Karen Gillan), a self-obsessed, twentysomething who is more concerned with “likes” than being liked. Harewood will play the off/crazy president of the company Eliza works for.

Ellen More Or Less - Chris Diamantopoulos to Co-Star

Chris Diamantopoulos is set to co-star opposite Stacey McGunnigle in NBC’s pilot Ellen More Or Less, written/exec produced by JJ Philbin, directed by Peyton Reed and exec produced by Jason Katims and Michelle Lee. The single-camera comedy, from Universal TV and Katims’ True Jack Productions, centers on Ellen (McGunnigle), an average-size woman who, after losing 100 pounds, begins reinventing herself in life and love. Diamantopoulos will play Ellen’s hunky colleague Jerry.

Salvation - Ryan McPartlin to Co-Star

Chuck alum Ryan McPartlin will co-star opposite Ashley Judd in NBC’s drama pilot Salvation. In the project, written by Elizabeth Heldens and directed by Jeffrey Reiner, mega-church Pastor Daniel Strickland suddenly dies, and his loyal wife, Jennifer Strickland (Judd), must rally to keep their family together and save the church. McPartlin will play Congressman Todd Bishop, an ambitious man whose political life keeps him from home, making him a bit of an absent husband and father

Empire - Bryshere Y. Gray joins cast

Bryshere Y. Gray aka rapper Yazz The Greatest has been cast in Fox’s hip-hop industry drama pilot Empire, from Lee Daniels, Danny Strong and Brian Grazer. The booking comes on the heels of the actor-musician signing with Paradigm. Empire centers on Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard), a charismatic, savvy music superstar who is about to take his company, Empire Entertainment, public. Gray is Lucious’ youngest son, and by far his favorite. He has the swagger of a rising superstar and just might be the front-runner to head Empire Entertainment.

Madam Secretary - Bebe Neuwirth and Erich Bergen to Co-Star, Evan Roe also joins cast

Bebe Neuwirth and Erich Bergen are set to co-star opposite Tia Leoni in CBS drama pilot Madam Secretary, from CBS Studios and Revelation Entertainment. Written by Barbara Hall and directed by Dave Semel, the project explores the personal and professional life of maverick female Secretary of State Elizabeth McGill (Leoni) as she drives international diplomacy, wrangles office politics and balances a complex family life. Emmy and Tony winner Neuwirth plays Elizabeth’s Chief Of Staff. Bergen plays Elizabeth’s young, loyal assistant, and the only person on her staff she actually hired. Also cast in the pilot is Evan Roe as Adam, Elizabeth’s teenage son, a budding anarchist. Hall is exec producing the pilot with Semel and Revelation’s Lori McCreary, Morgan Freeman and Tracey Mercer.

Saint Francis - Spencer Grammer to Co-Star

Spencer Grammer (Ironside) has been cast in Saint Francis, Chris Moynihan’s multi-camera comedy pilot for ABC, from ABC Studios and Tagline. It centers on Francis Quinlan (Michael Imperioli), a no-nonsense, blue-collar Long Island cop and family man who butts heads with the modern, liberal world when his 29-year-old sister Heather (Grammer) gets pregnant out of wedlock. Heather is a bit of a born rebel who feels dominated by her older brother and is determined to forge her own path in life.

Exposed - Fran Kranz joins cast

Fran Kranz has been cast in ABC’s drama pilot Exposed, from writer Charles Randolph, TBD Entertainment, and Uni TV. It centers on Anna, an investigative journalist who will stop at nothing to uncover the truth including making questionable alliances. Kranz plays Jeremy, Anna’s hipster younger brother, a tech genius who runs a corporation and has top-secret security clearance.

The Flash - Patrick Sabongui gets Recurring Role

Patrick Sabongui has been added to the cast of the CW pilot The Flash, based on the DC comic. It tells the story of scientist Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), who through a freak accident is given the power of super speed that transforms him into the Fastest Man Alive. Sabongui will play another character of the comic, Captain David Singh, a potentially recurring role.

Red Zone - Sepideh Moafi added as Regular

Sepideh Moafi, who recurs on ABC’s Black Box, has been cast as a regular in CBS drama pilot Red Zone, written by Nikki Toscano and directed by James Foley. It centers on retired CIA operative Holden Weller who, when a terrorist event rocks Washington, D.C., is pulled back into action, forced to investigate closer to home where the next generation of terrorists is being bred. Moafi plays Westernized Algerian woman Frida who’s keeping a lot of secrets.

Daphne Rubin-Vega gets Recurring Role in Richard LaGravenese Drama Pilot

Daphne Rubin-Vega (Smash) has been added as a recurring in ABC’s Richard LaGravenese drama pilot. In the vein of Dangerous Liaisons, the untitled project is set in New York and revolves around the love and rivalry between two equally matched, powerful socialites — Philip Fitzgerald Julien (Sewell) and Margot Worth Cole — who play out their obsessive attraction and seduction of each other through their manipulation of others. Rubin-Vega plays Philip’s housekeeper.

Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll - John Corbett to Co-Star

John Corbett, who has been straddling careers as an actor and a musician, will blend the two with a starring opposite Denis Leary in FX‘s music comedy pilot Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll. Written by Leary, the project centers on Johnny Rock (Leary), the magnificently talented lead singer of New York’s legendary early-’90s band The Heathens. His best friend Flash (Corbett) was being called the next No. 1 lead guitar player on Earth, with their tandem compared to Mick Jagger and Keith Richards or Steven Tyler and Joe Perry. Minus the money. And the fame. And the ability to stay in the same room for longer than five minutes without wanting to kill each other. Still, the critics loved them. Their live shows were selling out. But Johnny had a problem with booze. And coke. And weed. And pills. And cough medicine. And oh yeah – he slept with Flash’s wife. Twenty-five years later Johnny is trying to get the band back together. Meanwhile, Flash has carried on and found some fame as a respected session player and occasional guitarist for Lady Gaga.

The Winklers - Josh Sussman added as Regular

Josh Sussman (Glee) has been cast as a series regular in Henry Winkler ABC’s comedy pilot The Winklers, from Everybody Loves Raymond creator Phil Rosenthal; Winkler’s son, director Max Winkler; and son-in-law, actor Rob Reinis. The project, which had a pilot production commitment, was conceived as a starring vehicle for Henry Winkler and is based on his relationship with his son-in-law. Sussman will play Jonah, the son of Henry and Tita. Though he has his own apartment, Jonah frequently stops by his parents’ home to take baths, hang out and receive praise from his parents or anyone else willing to hand out a compliment.

American Crime - Felicity Huffman cast as Female Lead
Former Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman is back at ABC with a lead role in another hourlong project, pilot American Crime. Huffman has closed a deal to play the female lead opposite Timothy Hutton in the drama, written and exec produced by 12 Years A Slave‘s John Ridley. It centers on the racially charged murder of a war veteran and the subsequent trial, which are examined through the personal lives of the players involved. Huffman will play Barb Skokie, Russ’ (Hutton) stoic ex-wife and mother of the killed young man, Matt. She raised her two sons alone in public housing while her husband was off gambling. She still resents living as the only single white woman in a racially charged environment and being treated accordingly by the other occupants. Determined to hold someone accountable for Matt’s murder, Barb plans to stay close to the investigation and get answers.

Agatha - Bojana Novakovic gets Lead Role

Rake's Bojana Novakovic is making some insurance plans.

The actress, who plays Greg Kinnear's love interest on Fox's freshman drama, has been tapped to star as the title character in ABC's Agatha, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. The role is in second position to Rake, meaning should Fox renew the show for a sophomore run, ABC would need to recast the role.

Agatha is a character-driven procedural centering on Agatha, a former convict-turned-big-city criminologist who is brought in to help local police crack a case involving a perplexing disappearance. The chief detective she's been hired to help is her father -- and they haven't spoken in 15 years.

Novakovic's Agatha is a smart and perceptive woman who left her blue collar Philly upbringing behind to lead a sophisticated upper West Side life in New York. When a local girl goes missing, Agatha returns to the home she abandoned 15 years ago following the disappearance of her kid sister, to the estranged father and kid brother she left behind, in order to lend her skills and help bring the girl home.

Jane The Virgin - Jaime Camil to Co-Star

Mexican actor-singer-heartthrob Jaime Camil is making his US pilot debut with a co-starring role opposite Gina Rodriguez in the CW‘s drama Jane The Virgin. Based on the successful Venezuelan telenovela Juana la Virgen, Jane The Virgin centers on Jane (Rodriguez), a hardworking religious girl who, due to a series of outrageous events, is accidentally artificially inseminated. International telenovela star Camil will play the series regular role of Rubio, who happens to be a world-famous telenovela star with a surprising connection to Jane.

The Club - Chris Conroy added as Regular
Chris Conroy has booked a series regular role on ABC’s The Club (fka untitled Susannah Grant) from CBS TV Studios and ABC Studios. The drama, already greenlighted straight to series with a 13-episode order, is an upstairs/downstairs soap set at a private country club. Conroy will play rich and handsome Forty Holbrooke, who was doing OK until his mother killed herself, leaving him everything. Since then he’s been staggering through life with too much money and too little real support.

Keep It Together - Jayson Blair to Co-Star
Jayson Blair (The New Normal) has signed on to ABC‘s multi-camera comedy pilot Keep It Together, from actor-comedian Kevin Hart. Written by Neil Goldman and Garrett Donovan based on Hart’s life and stand-up, the project takes a candid look at the post-divorce life of a couple, Derek (Romany Malco) and Lorraine (Bresha Webb), who are trying to forge a friendship for the sake of their kids, despite their differences. Blair will play Lorraine’s new boyfriend Chip.

Red Band Society - Dave Annable added as Regular

Dave Annable (Brothers & Sisters, 666 Park Avenue) has nabbed a series regular role in Fox’s pilot Red Band Society, from Amblin TV and ABC Studios. It is a coming-of-age drama that explores with dark humor the daily lives of a group of teenagers living in a hospital who become unlikely friends. Annable will play Dr. William McAndrew, a rock star pediatric oncologist and surgeon, who tries not to get too attached to his young patients.
