How To Get Away With Murder - Tom Verica joins cast

Tom Verica (American Dreams) has joined the cast of ABC drama pilot How To Get Away With Murder starring Viola Davis and executive produced by Shonda Rhimes. The sexy, suspense-driven legal thriller centers on ambitious law students and their brilliant and mysterious criminal defense professor, Annalise Dewitt (Davis), who become entangled in a murder plot that could rock their entire university and change the course of their lives. Verica will play Annalise’s husband Tom, a psychology professor who comes from a long line of academic royalty.

Coercion - Morgan Spector added as Regular

Morgan Spector (The Last Airbender) is set as a series regular in the NBC drama pilot Coercion, based on an Israeli format. The high-octane thriller revolves around the O’Connor family and their son, Alex (Gavin Stenhouse), a decorated American war hero and CIA analyst. Unbeknownst to him, both of his parents and his sister are part of a dormant Russian sleeper cell that has just been reactivated. He’ll play Victor, an appealing, intimidating and powerful man who knows how to both charm and terrify.

Only Human - Nick Jandl and Cameron Scoggins join cast

Nick Jandl (Green Lantern) and Cameron Scoggins (The Happy Sad) have signed on to CBS’ untitled David Marshall Grant drama pilot, from CBS TV Studios and Timberman-Beverly. The soapy medical show, based on an Israeli format, revolves around quadruplets – three brothers and a sister – who grew up on a reality show. Jandl will play the oldest of the quadruplets who’s fresh out of his residency and new to Easton Hospital, an eminent institution headed by his mother (Jamie Lee Curtis). Scoggins will play Michael, another one of the quadruplets who runs an inner-city clinic.

Madam Secretary - Katherine Herzer joins cast

Katherine Herzer has been cast in CBS drama pilot Madam Secretary, from CBS Studios and Revelation Entertainment. Written by Barbara Hall and directed by Dave Semel, the project explores the personal and professional life of maverick female Secretary of State Elizabeth McGill (Tea Leoni) as she drives international diplomacy, wrangles office politics and balances a complex family life. Herzer will play Caroline, Elizabeth’s (Leoni) popular teenage daughter.

Damaged Goods - Anna Camp gets Lead Role

True Blood‘s Anna Camp has closed a deal for what is considered the lead role in Lauren Iungerich’s ABC comedy pilot Damaged Goods, from WBTV. It revolves around damaged men and damaged women who explore the minutiae of love and relationships. A smart and successful lawyer, Nicole (Camp) is totally bewildered and betrayed when her boyfriend Tim (Justin Hartley) tells her he can’t be happy for her or continue to date if she takes the promotion she was offered at the law firm where they both work — the promotion he expected to get. Steve Talley and Kellee Stewart co-star.

iZombie - Nora Dunn added as Regular

Saturday Night Live alum Nora Dunn is set as a series regular in Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero’s CW drama pilot iZombie, from Warner Bros. TV. iZombie is a supernatural crime procedural that centers on a med student-turned-zombie who takes a job in the coroner’s office to gain access to the brains she must reluctantly eat to maintain her humanity, but with each brain she consumes, she inherits the corpse’s memories. Dunn will play Eva Moore, mother to the lead character Olivia (TBD) and hospital administrator.

Agatha - Clancy Brown to Co-Star

Sleepy Hollow's Clancy Brown will co-star opposite Rake's Bojana Novakovic as Agatha's estranged father in the one-hour drama pilot, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Agatha is a character-driven procedural centered on Agatha (Novakovic), a former convict-turned-big-city criminologist who is brought in to help local police crack a case involving a perplexing disappearance. The chief detective she's been hired to help is her father, Detective Hank McAuliffe (Brown) -- and they haven't spoken in 15 years.

Described as rugged, handsome and cool, Hank -- a seasoned detective with the Philadelphia Police Department -- is a "salt of the earth" guy who also happens to be a struggling alcoholic. A stubborn man who is set in his ways, he is coping with the pain of estrangement from his child. Hank admires his daughter and her accomplishments from afar, but is skeptical about her "criminologist ways," preferring by-the-book police work instead.

Empire - Kaitlin Doubleday added as Regular

Fox’s Empire has rounded out its cast with the signing of Kaitlin Doubleday (Catch Me If You Can) as a series regular. Fox’s hip-hop industry drama pilot from Lee Daniels, Danny Strong and Brian Grazer, centers on Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard), a charismatic, savvy music superstar who is about to take his company, Empire Entertainment, public. Doubleday will play Rhonda, the wife of Lucious’ oldest son Andre (Trai Byers), a sexy, manipulative woman who shares Andre’s Ivy League background and intends to help him scrap his way to the head of Empire.

The Messengers - Shantel VanSanten to Star

Shantel VanSanten, who played Quinn in seasons seven and eight of OTH, has been tapped to star in the network's drama pilot The Messengers. The role is in first position to Fox's upcoming cop drama Gang Related, which bows May 20.

The Messengers centers on a mysterious object that crashes down to Earth and a group of seemingly unconnected strangers who die from the energy pulse. They then awaken to learn that they have been deemed responsible for preventing the impending apocalypse.

VanSanten, who next co-stars on Fox's upcoming drama series Gang Related, will topline the drama as Vera, a NASA scientist who works at a remote New Mexico observatory who investigates a strange impact site.
