NOTE: Please be advised that English is not my first language.

As creator Bruno Heller promised, the hunt for Red John is getting serious this season, and it will lead to discover the serial killer’s identity by the end of the calendar year.
The six season premiere opens where we left in episode “Red John’s Rules”. Patrick Jane and Teresa Lisbon just heard the DVD in which Lorelei Martins spoke for Red John. He knows the name of the seven suspects in Jane’s list.
This is the first time Lisbon is scared because she sees a lost Jane: he doesn’t know what to do next. But there’s no time to talk about because there’s a murder case.

The scene in which Jane enters inside the house where the crime scene just happened and he takes time to investigate by himself, reminds me of the pilot. It’s soon revealed that the man who is grieving his fiancée’s is the killer. He points a gun at Jane and takes him as hostage. Luckily, the man is shot by Lisbon and other agents, so the case is closed.

“The Desert Rose” focus on two suspects from Jane’s list: Gale Bertram and Brett Partridge. I was surprised by CBI’s chief, Bertram. He is so furious when he knows Jane is getting closer to Red John, so he decides to put him and Lisbon out of the case, by sending outside Sacramento. The scene moves to the beach, where there’s a confrontation between Jane and Brett Partridge. I’ve seen a very scared Partridge and it makes me changed my mind about him being Red John. I’ve also seen a very uncomfortable Lisbon; it must be very difficult to put on the front one of the possible Red John.

Soon, Jane and Lisbon argue since she told Van Pelt... who told Rigsby... who told Cho... about the list. Lisbon is a cop, she needs to do her job, but this doesn’t mean she betrayed his trust. On the other hand, Jane hates put Lisbon and her team in danger. That’s why I loved the scene in the car, in which he keeps calling her to apologize for their previous argument. I also appreciate the scene in which Cho asks Rigsby if there’s something who worries him. It only takes a look for them to understand that something is wrong. I’m gonna miss the bromance between those two.

Anyway, Jane doesn’t know yet that his greatest fear is about to realize. Van Pelt had put a GPS track on each suspects cell phones, and when Lisbon receives a signal in Partridge’s house, she decides to take the lead by her own. Wrong move, Lisbon!
In a creepy scenario that reminds me of a Hitchcock’s movie, Lisbon gets into his house, only to find an almost-dead Partridge, all covered of blood. He mutters “Tyger tyger” to Lisbon, and then she’s grabbing behind.
RIP Brett Partridge, you’ll miss us.

And then, the final breathless scene. Just when Jane thinks Lisbon is finally answering at her phone, Red John’s voice calmly starts with “Sorry Patrick, Teresa can’t come to the phone right now. Can I take a message?”
I still need to take a breath after the scary scene with Red John putting a smile on Lisbon’s face... she looks apparently dead, but we know she can’t be, right?
And let’s take a moment to look at Jane’s face when he realizes he just put Lisbon in danger and in the worst way ever.

With one suspects down, Patrick Jane is finally getting closer to Red John.
What are your expectations about season six? Who’s Red John? What is Jane going to do now with Lisbon in Red John’s hands?
