ADDISON ENJOYS HER BLOSSOMING ROMANCE, AND THE DOCTORS SUPPORT VIOLET AS PETE HEADS INTO COURT, ON THE SIXTH-SEASON PREMIERE OF ABC'S "PRIVATE PRACTICE"


"Aftershock" - Addison settles into her new life after making a decision between Jake and Sam; Violet fears the worst when Pete doesn't show up to his preliminary court hearing; and Charlotte swears Cooper to secrecy when she receives shocking news. Meanwhile, Amelia celebrates one year of sobriety and Sheldon rekindles a romance with his ex-wife, on the sixth-season premiere of "Private Practice," TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"Private Practice" stars Kate Walsh as Dr. Addison Forbes Montgomery, Benjamin Bratt as Dr. Jake Reilly, KaDee Strickland as Dr. Charlotte King, Paul Adelstein as Dr. Cooper Freedman, Brian Benben as Dr. Sheldon Wallace, Caterina Scorsone as Dr. Amelia Shepherd, and Griffin Gluck as Mason Warner, with Taye Diggs as Dr. Sam Bennett and Amy Brenneman as Dr. Violet Turner.

Guest starring Alex Rocco as Ed Diamanti, Justina Machado as Stephanie Kemp, and Jillian Bach as Debra Diamanti.

"Aftershock" was written by Barbie Kligman and directed by Mark Tinker.

"Private Practice" was created by Shonda Rhimes ("Grey's Anatomy," "Scandal") and is executive-produced by Rhimes, Betsy Beers ("Grey's Anatomy," "Scandal"), Mark Gordon ("The Hoax," "Saving Private Ryan"), Mark Tinker ("St. Elsewhere," "NYPD Blue"), Jennifer Cecil and Barbie Kligman. "Private Practice" is an ABC Studios Production.

"Private Practice" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound. This program carries a TV-14,D,L parental guideline.
