The Late Late Show Special extravaganza, Oct/Nov/December edition

Hey, guess what ? What ? I'll tell you : it's a great day for SpoilerTV, everybody !

A few months ago I posted all the interviews Craig did with TV show stars in August and September 2011 right there, so I thought I'd do it again with his guests from the last 3 months.

There are three exceptions though, three guests who are famous for their roles in very popular shows around here but who weren't there to talk about TV (well, JDM does talk about Magic City) but I thought I should mention them anyway : Evangeline Lilly (October 7), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (November 7) and Richard Lewis (December 9). Lost, Curb your Enthusiasm and Supernatural, that's the 3 shows everyone is a fan of around here — actually I don't think the Richard Lewis segment is that good (he looks like he drank a gallon of coffee) ; my point is, watch Curb your Enthusiasm.

=> Guests from returning comedy series :

Community : Joel McHale (October 5).
The Office : Mindy Kaling (December 16).
Modern Family : Ty Burrell (November 23).
Archer : Aisha Tyler (November 28).
Hot in Cleveland : Betty White (Oct 10), Don Rickles (Nov 18), Valerie Bertellini (Dec 6) and Sean Hayes (Dec 15).
How I Met Your Mother : Neil Patrick Harris (November 4) and Jason Segel (November 22).
The Big Bang Theory : Jim Parsons (October 12), Kunal Nayyar (October 27) and Johnny Galecki (November 21).

=> Guests from new comedy series :

China, IL : Jeffrey Tambor (October 21).
Free Agents : Anthony Head (October 13).
2 Broke Girls : Beth Behrs (December 2).
Up All Night : Molly Shannon (November 10) and Jason Lee (December 21).
Suburgatory : Ana Gasteyer (December 2) and Parker Young (December 20).
New Girl : Zooey Deschanel (October 31), Jake Johnson (November 1) and Justin Long (December 5).
Happy Endings : Eliza Coupe (October 6), Adam Pally (October 14) and once again Eliza Coupe (November 22).

=> Guests from new drama series :

Ringer : Ioan Gruffudd (October 3).
Grimm : Bitsie Tullock (November 2).
Prime Suspect : Maria Bello (November 1).
Unforgettable : Poppy Montgomery (November 14).
Good Christian Belles : Kristin Chenoweth (December 1).
American Horror Story : Jessica Lange (October 4) and Sarah Paulson (October 20).
Homeland : Claire Danes (October 10), Morena Baccarin (December 13) and also Ken Tucker from EW (December 1).

=> Guests from returning drama series :

Harry's Law : Kathy Bates (October 13).
Parenthood : Monica Potter (October 11).
The Closer : Kyra Sedgwick (December 22).
Boardwalk Empire : Michael K. Williams (November 10).
Bored to Death : Jonathan Ames (September 28), Jason Schwartzman (October 6), Ted Danson (November 2), Patton Oswalt (December 14) and John Hodgman (December 15).
And Doctor Who : Matt Smith (October 17) and Alex Kingston (November 16).

Did I include Ted Danson, Patton Oswalt and John Hogman even though they weren't invited to talk about Bored to Death ? And did I include the Jonathan Ames interview despite it airing in September just because it was an awesome segment and because I love his show ? Yes, I certainly did.

* It's worth pointing out that on one occasion, Craig had his guests to stick around for the ending segment, it was on October 7th with Chris Hardwick (who stopped by during the monologue, another unusual thing), Jason Schwartzman and Eliza Coupe, here it is :

And finally, Craig ended 2011 on Friday, December 23 with an action-packed Email Spectacular (which was in no way recorded in advance), where he was joined by Johnny Galecki (The Big Bang Theory) for a good segment and then by Jason Segel (How I Met Your Mother) for an hilarious segment, check them out right below :

FYI : For 10 shows (2 weeks) and then another 4 shows, Josh Robert Thompson, who voices Geoff Peterson, couldn't be on the set so Craig had him replaced by numerous guests voicing our favorite robot sidekick. On these 14 'special' shows, Geoff had personality chips sounding like Alfred Molina, Tom Lennon (5 times), Larry King, Louie Anderson, Paula Poundstone and Shadoe Stevens (the actual announcer).

But TV show stars also entered the body of the best gay robot skeleton in the world, such as Dominic Monaghan (Lost) who voiced Geoff on November 8, Lauren Graham (Parenthood) voiced him on Nov 14, Angela Kinsey (The Office) on Nov 16 and Jason Schwarzman (Bored to Death) on Nov 17. So you should check those shows out if you can. You'll hear them at the beginning of some interviews segments I posted above, but most of the time Craig chats with Geoff during the cold open, at the end of his 'monologue', during the tweetmail segment and at the end of the show, so that's where you'll hear Geoff's voice the most.

And starting tonight, Craig is back. This week, he will welcome CBS stars Melissa Rauch (TBBT), Tom Selleck (Blue Bloods) and Daniela Ruah (NCIS LA) in his creepy basement, and also Michael Clarke Duncan (who I remember humorously begged FOX to pick up The Finder last time he was on the show, it looks like he was heard) and Laura Prepon (Are You There Shitney ? It's me, you're soon-to-be partner in cancellation) will be here.
