----------

-Ratings Breakdown:
Football-ignited NBC led the Sunday overnights as usual, but its advantage over second-place CBS was only two-tenths of a rating point (or two percent). CBS benefited, no doubt, by the approximate one-hour primetime football overrun, which scored an estimated 15.7 rating/24 share in the overnights from 7-8 p.m. In the distant No. 3 spot was the new home of the Hallmark Hall Fame movies, ABC, followed by Fox.

Pittsburgh at Kansas City on NBC’s Sunday Night Football averaged a healthy 12.5/19 in primetime (from 8:30-11 p.m.), which was right on par with the 13.0/19 for San Diego at Indianapolis one year earlier. Here is the half-hour breakdown:

Sunday Night Football (NBC)
8:30 p.m.: 12.0/18 (#1)
9:00 p.m.: 13.3/19 (#1)
9:30 p.m.: 13.0/19 (#1)
10:00 p.m.: 12.2/19 (#1)
10:30 p.m.: 12.1/20 (#1)

Earlier in the evening, Football Night in American on NBC fared as follows:

Football Night in America (NBC)
7:00 p.m.: 1.6/ 3 (#4)
7:30 p.m.: 3.3/ 5 (#4)
8:00 p.m.: 8.0/12 (#2)

As a reminder, results for any live sporting event are always estimated.

Over at CBS, individual series results are approximate due to the aforementioned primetime football overrun and appear as follows by half-hour:

CBS/Sunday
7:00 p.m. – Football: 14.9/23 (#1)
7:30 p.m. – Football: 16.5/25 (#1)
8:00 p.m. – 60 Minutes: 11.5/17 (#1)
8:30 p.m. – 60 Minutes: 10.2/15 (#2)
9:00 p.m. – The Amazing Race: 6.1/ 9 (#2)
9:30 p.m. – The Amazing Race: 5.8/ 8 (#2)
10:00 p.m. – Person of Interest (R): 4.8/ 8 (#2)
10:30 p.m. – Person of Interest (R): 4.6/ 8 (#2)

In very disappointing news for ABC, Mitch Albom’s Have a Little Faith from Hallmark Hall of Fame, which will definitely skew older, was a bust in the overnights with a 4.3/ 7 from 9-11 p.m. Compared to Hallmark Hall of Fame’s November Christmas on CBS on the year-ago evening (8.2/13 on 11/28/10), this was down by a hefty 48 percent. Considering the Hallmark Hall of Fame made-for movies have been a fixture on CBS for decades, viewers will have to get used to their new home on ABC.

Earlier in the evening on ABC was the regularly scheduled combination of veteran America’s Funniest Home Videos (#3: 4.2/ 7) and recent entry Once Upon a Time (#3: 6.4/ 9) from 7-9 p.m. Although Once Upon a Time did dip by 14 percent in the overnights from its most recent performance on Nov. 13 (7.4/11), this was still a 60 percent improvement from year-ago occupant Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (4.0/ 6 on 11/28/10). Yes, Bob Webb…Once Upon a Time is a bona fide hit!

On Fox, week five of animated Allen Gregory remains a certified clinker with a mere 2.3/ 3 (#4) in the overnights at 8:30 p.m. (out of a diluted 3.7/ 5 for The Simpsons at 8 p.m. - #4). Needless to say, the axe should be swinging at any moment. With reduced lead-in support, Family Guy at 9 p.m. (#4: 3.7/ 5) was down 14 percent year-to-year, followed by American Dad at an also below average 3.0/ 4 at 9:30 p.m. (#4).

Earlier in the evening on Fox was The Cleveland Show at a fourth-place 2.9/ 4 at 7:30 p.m.
