Warehouse 13 - Episode 2.03 - Beyond Our Control - Recap

Images of movies becoming alive. It happened on Charmed, Torchwood and now Warehouse 13 creates its version of the theme.

Apparently, not only your christmas cards and amazon packages can be lost in the mail, but also an artifact. When a super 3D image projector is found in the Univille mail storage, the town becomes the stage of Raymond St. James films. After being attacked by a gladiator and some cowboys (not to mention the marines and the noir detective passing by), the Warehouse team is able to locate the artifact by another Donovan technology (more of a Donovan modification). Turns out that artifact combined with microwaves and some gibberish technical stuff results in danger to everyone - especially when Dr. Doomsday decides to detonate a bomb. Using the other part of the artifact, the image of Artie literally saves the day.

Meanwhile, at Warehouse headquarters, Mrs. Frederic called experts to deal with Lenna. With the help of an amber ball, the echoes left by the pearl of wisdom are erased; but not completely.

So, what did we learn in this episode? 1. The reason for the locals hate the Warehouse staff (anything related to IRS is never a good disguise) 2. That there's a cute boy living in the city (Claudia-Todd relationship starting in 3,2,1) 3. That Farnsworth has a hole wing in the warehouse (and nuclear objects are still active - no worries then) 4. That Pete is an indispensable team member (how to solve mysteries related to comics and movies without him?) 5. That you may not be sick of that actor who tried to kill you during the day (and that popcorn makes everything better) 6. That Mark Sheppard is omnipresent in television (whether in Leverage, Battlestar Galactica, Medium, 24 or Firefly).

And be careful next time you're in a 3D cinema; you never know when the characters may get out of the movie due to an artifact. Or a spell. Or an alien menace.
