Cole "The Winner" McDonald has been top for an impressive 4 days now, and sees his lead maintained at 4 points, and now stands on 59 points. With a round 3 win headstart under his belt, he stands a strong chance of winning the overall competition at this stage. Shocker perhaps yday, in that I climbed up the ranks, a small amount admittedly, but 352nd is better than nothing at this stage.
Also, if you wish to be kept more in the loop with the remainder of the competition, join my twitter feed, http://twitter.com/AdDHarris and don't miss out on any of the rest of the competition.

Day 24: Well, that was a surprise. I didn't see such huge amounts of votes for this battle, with both shows doing enough in theory to reach the quarter finals, but sadly, there is room for only one, and that is Supernatural. This round Glee fans have lost there voice, the Doctor has died, LOST sputtered through, Fringe feebly exited, it has been a round for the big names to falter, and NCIS, for me, has been one of the surprises of the competition, performing exceedingly well against all tough opposition, but it's run is over. I have seen some controversy, with certain people unsure over the large amounts of votes today, but we have been reposted on many sites, twitted (is that the noun) over 100 times and seen the levels of votes we see with some of the other shows, when the fans across the globe kick up a storm. When a post goes up on certain Supernatural sites and forums for example, it is likely to except large influxes of votes, which is what happened today :) Thanks to everyone who has votes yday, it was huge numbers, as I type this it hasn't quite made the top 3 of all competition, but it may yet do so :P And onto today we finish Round 3 today with another corker of a battle, between two shows that I constantly hear praise being thrown upon time and again, both of which more than likely deserve a spot in the final 8, yet one is going to fall. Which it will be is too hard to call, both shows have loyal and foreboding amounts of fans. It could get messy folks. Let the Battle Commence....

Battlestar Galactica vs. The X-Files
Battlestar Galactica

Seasons: 4 (Finished)
Previous Results: R1. WON vs. CSI (63.75%), R2. WON vs. Chuck (74.55%)
Major Awards: 3 Emmys
Format: Post-apocalyptic fiction/Serial drama/Philosophical fiction/Military science fiction/Political drama/Space opera
Synopsis: The story arc of Battlestar Galactica is set in a distant part of the galaxy, where a civilization of humans live on a series of planets known as the Twelve Colonies. In the past, the Colonies had been at war with a cybernetic race known as the Cylons. With the unwitting help of a human named Gaius Baltar, the Cylons launch a sudden sneak attack on the Colonies, laying waste to the planets and devastating their populations. The approximately 50,000 human survivors flee into space aboard any spacecraft they can reach. Of all the Colonial Fleet, the Battlestar Galactica appears to be the only military capital ship that survived the attack. Under the leadership of Colonial Fleet officer Commander William "Bill" Adama, the Battlestar Galactica and its crew take up the task of leading the small fugitive fleet of survivors into space in search of a fabled refuge known as Earth.
Fan Review: Chris Bergi
BSG is basically a story about characters and their decisions in the fight for survival against an overwhelming, self-created enemy, the Cylons. But the Sci-Fi topic is just the setting for this drama, there's no annoying techno-babble or time-jumps.
The mini-series takes you on a journey to a different human society facing extinction due to their own creation, the robots called Cylons, coming home to kill their creators in a surprise attack. But a few dozen ships, led by the old military ship Battlestar Galactica and about 50.000 people are able to flee. On the run from the Cylons the last remains of the human race learn that there are Cylon agents among their fleet, looking and acting like humans. This creates a thrilling atmosphere; humanity will face controversial topics like torture, terrorism, faith, moral dilemmas, etc. and each character develops during their journey. You're a part of the crew, you will love and hate the characters for their decisions, and you will get entangled in the whole setting, its mysteries and be carried away.

The X-Files

Seasons: 9 (Finished)
Previous Results: R1. WON vs. 30 Rock (72.43%), R2. WON vs. Alias (70.11%)
Major Awards: 16 Emmys, 5 Golden Globes
Format: Drama/science fiction/horror/mystery/thriller
Synopsis: In the series, FBI agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) are the investigators of X-Files: marginalized, unsolved cases involving paranormal phenomena. Mulder is a believer in the existence of aliens and the paranormal, while Scully, a skeptic, is assigned to make scientific analyses of Mulder's discoveries.
Fan Review: Wilson Crawford
In the course of 9 seasons, The X-Files broke onto the scene and became the epitome of a perfect sci fi show: it had mystery, groundbreaking plots, startling thrills, and jumpstarted a generation of conspiracy theorists with its sharply-acted, well-written, mind-bending monster-of-the-week stories. Sometimes comic, sometimes disturbing, always high-brow entertainment. The sparks flew between Mulder and Scully and the sexual chemistry worked as a catalyst to push this show to heights no one had ever gone to. Part "Twin Peaks," part "Invasion of the Body Snatchers," 100% its own, The X-Files easily became an acclaimed critical darling, but also a gigantic success amongst viewers, boasting as much as 20+ million viewers in its prime. Not to mention the "radical" fanbase... The legacy it's left behind has inspired many newer shows including "Fringe," "Supernatural," and countless others. An instant classic, brimming with satire and intrigue, and that is why THE X-FILES is the BEST SHOW EVER.

Thanks once again for voting and taking part in the Competition. Hope your doing well, and that your favourite shows are getting through. Comment away and lets see who grinds through today.
