Episode 5.13 - The Soil Is Moist
Jake, Charlie and Alan go to a coffee shop after a movie and Alan sees Cynthia, a woman he knew when he was still married to Judith. They talk and she admits she isn't married anymore either and they agree to get together sometime to catch up. They end up at her place and are in bed together when Alan imagines Judith in the room watching. When Cynthia tells him that it was great, he tries to talk her into mentioning it to Judith when they talk. She says she can't do that, because she's uncomfortable when Judith tells her about hers and Herb's great love life. Alan gets obsessed with finding out what Judith talks about and Cynthia calls him strange and tells him to leave.
Episode 5.14 - Milly
Alan tells Rose that he's given up on love and that he hired an escort. When she arrives, he pours them both some wine and things quickly get uncomfortable when she starts to kiss him and tell him he's the best. Meanwhile, Charlie and Jake are out at an upscale restaurant for dinner with a woman named Jess and her daughter Milly. Jake keeps trying to impress Milly, making it seem like he believes in everything she believes in. Charlie can't seem to remember his time in the past with Jess and keeps probing her for clues to jog his memory.
