    Ratings Breakdown:
It was all about ABC last night care of the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Golden State Warriors on game one of the NBA Finals. Keeping in mind that results for any live sporting event are always approximate, the game one match-up (Warriors 108, Cavaliers 100) averaged an ample 12.9 rating/23 share in the household overnights in the 8 p.m.–12 a.m. block. Comparably, that was 28 percent above the 10.1/18 for Miami Heat at the San Antonio Spurs on the year-ago evening. And that game translated into 14.24 million viewers and a 5.7 rating/18 share among adults 18-49 (based on the Live + Same Day data).

Earlier in the evening on ABC (and also estimated) was an 8-8:30 p.m. edition of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” at a 3.2/ 6 in the overnights (#4), followed by the NBA Countdown at a 4.6/ 8 (#2) at 8:30 p.m. Needless to say, ABC will easily dominate in the national ratings this week.

In season premiere news, NBC drama “Hannibal” was left at the starting gate (which is nothing unusual, unfortunately) with a mere 1.8/ 3 in the household overnights (#3) in the 10 p.m. hour. Comparably, that dipped from week two (and episode three) of the 9:30 p.m. portion of lead-in drama “Aquarius” (2.6/ 4) by 31 percent, and it trailed an encore of CBS’ competing “Elementary” (#2: 3.1/ 5) by 42 percent. Overall, “Aquarius” averaged a 2.9/ 5 in the 9 p.m. hour, which was a loss of a hefty 29 percent from the 4.1/ 7 two episode opener one week earlier. And that resulted in 5.67 million viewers and a 1.1 rating/4 share among adults 18-49 (based on the Live + Same Day data). As a reminder, most new network series drop by 10 to 20 percent in week two.

In the 8 p.m. hour on NBC was veteran “Dateline” at a dominant 4.6/ 8 from 8-9 p.m.

    On CBS from 8-10 p.m. were encore telecasts of sitcoms “The Big Bang Theory” (#1: 5.1/ 9), “The Odd Couple” (#3: 3.7/ 6), “Mom” (#2: 3.8/ 6) and “Mike & Molly” (#2: 3.6/ 6).

Elsewhere, Fox dramas “Bones” (#4: 3.5/ 6) and “Wayward Pines” (#3: 3.0/ 5) were consistent from one week earlier. Worth positively noting for quirky “Wayward Pines” was overnight growth of 43 percent from failed year-ago time period occupant “Gang Related” (2.1/ 3 on 6/05/14). And The CW populated the evening with repeats of dramas “iZombie” (#5: 0.6/ 1) and “The Vampire Diaries” (#5: 0.4/ 1).
