I kinda miss Cruella already, damn. Like she was evil as hell but I liked it. And LOL, I love how Henry looked at Pongo as if the dog personally betrayed him.
AND OH SHIT AT THE END. THIS ISN'T GOING TO END WELL.
DAMN IT WHY MAKE EMMA KILL?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DAMN IT DAMN IT DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! did not expect that twist with Cruella not being able to kill
I'm kind of really confused... but also extremely intrigued. P.S. ONCE always knows when to throw something at you just when you think you know what they are all about. lol, I'm gonna have to watch this one a couple more times.
I’m not liking the whole Emma thing, while the idea is a good one the execution so far not so much. I mean, how can killing Cruella turn her evil? Unless she enjoyed it or something, it was pretty much self defense and nothing else.
What do I think? I think that the first half of the show was cut off by tornado warnings. Just because we had a tornado 10-20 miles to the north of us, one 10 miles to the south of us, and one about 10 miles to the west of us is no reason to interrupt my TV shows. Stupid people and their incessant worrying about dying.
Absolutely amazing with all the twists and turns, I really didn't see that coming, Cruella's backstory had me intrigued I was feeling so sorry for her, being the flower in the attic then the truth came out, I'm going to miss her didn't know she was going out like that and at the hands of the savior, it's never a dull moment in storybrook, next week is going to be even crazier!!!!
Holy crap that was AMAZING! Victoria Smurfit's acting was just stellar as well and I loved the whole feel and tone of the episode. I wish more episodes were like this one. That ending though and that promo! So many excellent moves and twists played out in that episode, it was pure genius. OUAT needs to stop making me love it's villains and then killing them off though, but at least Zelena is back!
Great episode. So Cruella loved to kill. She was twisted since the very beggining. Her character was awesome, short lived but awesome. The kid that plays Henry was cringe worthy tonight, Man how bad acting was that?, Even Emma's look at the end was horrible e.e
Yeah, I don't see how Cruella not actually being able to shoot Henry is relevant. It's like when a bank robber brandishes a fake weapon and gets shot by the security guard. Not Emma's fault for taking her threats seriously.
I like that Regina has finally found a comfortable role for herself. She's the anti-hero, working for a good cause but not afraid to go into the gray areas here and there.
Now that was darker than usual, and that's a good thing; the story is taking very interesting routes. I will miss Cruella's sassy attitude on the show though
- Although I like the corrupted or misunderstood villain, sometimes it's nice just to have the evil villain. - Charming, you seem to just be an all around Richard. "I'm a hero." Yeah, I don't think so. - Evil Emma at the end just looked...sick maybe?
Emma will kill Gold and become the new Dark One. I'm serious about that one. I believe I heard that Robert Carlisle wants off the show, and this could be a way to write him off.
I liked the twists in the episode, but Emma killing Cruella was just stupid, she could have just as easily made the gun disappear or something, the writers could at least make it look like she really had no choice instead of using her magic however is convenient to drive the plot even if it's completely inconsistent with her character. Also. is it me or is the makeup department not doing a great job with Emma lately? She looked like she was sick the entire episode.
Weather ruined it for me but will watch it again later. But serious flaw in the Cruella can not take another person's life twist as in same episode she is confessing to attempted infanticide, leaving Lilly out in the woods to die or be eaten. That is murder. And seriously, the Emma torturing her parents for their choice seem silly given the finale of 3B where she knows how much it hurt without them and she knows how it stung to see Snow die. No way a person lives through that and forgets the pain of loss.
Cruella was my absolute favorite of the Queens of Darkness ever since the beginning and one of the highlights of season 4B so I was kinda upset that she was one of the first to be killed off so soon. Her backstory was really great even though she has been evil this whole time. Just the scenery and essence alone made me fall in love with it. Victoria Smurfit did such a fantastic portrayal of Cruella and did the character justice. And I'm really looking forward to this Emma going to the dark side arc, it's going to be such a big change for the character. Though killing someone who was about to shoot your son doesn't necessarily make them evil, she clearly did that in self defense...Hopefully this will lead to something more reprehensible/villainous coming up.
Julia @HopeForRumbelle 42 Min. yeah Adam confirmed it when he told us that article about Robert leaving was fake. He said that Robert'ssigned on for s5
Well. No, actually. Sure Pan and Zelena are bad, horrible people too. But they both had other motivations besides evil alone. Zelena is driven by envy and Pan by fear of failure and powerlessness. Cruella just wanted to kill because she liked it. So there's a difference.
But what kind of villain would Emma be? I mean what will be her target? Killing her parents? Destroying Storybrooke?Killing everyone who comes near Henry? I don't see that. I guess Emma will sacrifice herself in the season finale (some spoilers indicate that) and in season 5 her family and friends will try to rescue her. I guess a (for now) dead Emma is the worst possible thing, isn't it?
I wanted to give the episode an "Awesome" but I couldn't. Cruella's background story was fantastic. Victoria Smurfit did an outstanding job. Kudos to her ! There're still things that bothered me.
First: The Charmings have an incredible Emma radar. They knew right away where to find her like Emma was only 10 feet away from the author's house.
Second: Henry trying to outrun a dog. Yes, TRYING, to me it looked like he was just jogging through the woods. Not really convincing.
Last but not least: Emmas closeup face at the end. Her expression only showed tiredness and infuration to me. JMO is a great actress but I'm not convinced that she can pull off evil. Maybe when Emma changed completely. I will keep an open mind.
I have to give them credit, I really thought they were going to try and redeem Cruella. We got this sob backstory, evil stepmother, Dalmatians terrorizing poor little Cruella. I didn't expect the twist that Cruella was evil to the core. I loved that they didn't go the redemption route.
I was also a bit surprised that Emma killed Cruella but it didn't seem unwarranted, it's a pure case of self-defense. However, I’m guessing this is how darkness gets into Emma? I think it’s a bit of an over exaggeration but I guess, between her anger over her parent’s actions and now killing someone, no matter how justified. It would be nice if the end result is a blending of the two girls (Emma/Lily). Instead of one being “pure good” and the other “pure evil” we have an ending which creates the balance that should have always been there.
On another topic, did Belle agree to Regina’s plan (using her heart as a threat) or are we to assume Regina took it without Belle’s consent? I figured since “Regina” seemed normal, not evilish that she asked Belle and Belle helped her out. But it was very up in the air.
Good episode, Cruella is a fantastic villain (without remorse yay). I loved the little scene with the music in the attic and also with the famous coat and my favourite the Angry Birds. That was fabulous. Make Emma kill Cruella is a bit easy to make her dark. Regina is right about Emma not forgiving her parents but at the same time Emma's responde is on point. I like both Regina and Hook but I like when they are reminded of what they did. Right now the Charmings looks bad but we can't make R and H look much better. And for Rumple and Belle, I didn't want a sort of reconciliation that quick but I'm sad it was somehow part of Regina's plan. It was heartfelt, the kiss might be too much (Will anyone?) but the rest, I really wanted it to be genuine. And I don't like people being manipulated but I so love actors doing it and Emilie was good. Finally, I'm glad Belle gave her consent, she's been through too much.
That isaw good theory . I guess I was thinking that Josh Dallas said the big bag would be something umimagineable-which to me meant new villian. That is the mo of the last few seasons that there is a villian and each ace the Villians are getting more and more nasty. It seems like another theme is that every character starts to have lots of growth and then gets destroyed- so that will be Emma next season. I just pray it is only for 1/2 season- not sure if it is Emma as the big bad, I can even watch it. Knowing who Emma is and the guilt she carries around-whole theme of this season has been her guilt over bringing Marion back, even though she was saving her life- so how would she be able to live with herself being the dark one.
What an amazing ep! I think Cruella's backstory is my favorite so far (for a non regular character) The twists were just too good (her being the evil one not her mother the the fact that she could not kill). This was just excellent writing! Emma and the Charming are also well written and I loved Emma's explanation when Regina asked her about it in the woods (because it's true, Regina and Hook did way more bad things than her parents and Emma has forgiven them) I really thought that Regina or Maleficent would have been the ones who were going to kill Cruella (like stopping Emma at the last moment) but I'm oddly glad that they dared to go there! I'm all for Dark Emma (not forever but it will be a great arc for the character). Just one thing that I didn't like was Emma's look at the end... She didn't look a little evil but just pale and tired (let the girl get some sleep please!) JMO can be a terrific actress tho so I hope she'll show us what she's got ;)
No, Walsh died. Emma told Killian in 4x3 that she was afraid of losing him because everyone she had been with was dead: "Neal, Graham, even Walsh." Walsh died after Emma killed him in self-defense, just like she killed Cruella to protect Henry. If she didn't go dark after killing Walsh, it doesn't make sense for her to go dark after killing Cruella. She also thought she killed Maleficent at the end of season 1. She didn't go dark then, either.
Ehhhhhh, she pushed him off the roof and then he poofed. If he died, then that implies that all of the flying monkeys that they poofed rescuing Henry were killed as well, and some of those monkeys were dwarves and/or prince Philip. With Walsh, the flying monkeys, and Maleficent she didn't set out to kill them. She just happened to. With Cruella she deliberately pushed her off a cliff, which would reasonably result in her death.
No that was our world. When he was talking about realms outside of time he meant all of them because he doesnt use time, he uses stories to keep track of everything.
She could because the author gave Cruella magic. If what you were saying was true then Cruella would have been super confused about travelling to another realm since the author didn't tell her about it until they were at the bar.
This episode was amazing. Thank you, thank you writers for, at least once, not going with a sob story to justify why someone is a villain. I loved how they even addressed it on the show going with her saying "Yes, why is the question everyone is asking". Cruella was the best, I will really miss her. Victoria was sensational!
Interesting backstory. Finally we have an evil child! But I am not sure about some things. What did Cruella do to Lily? Was she lying to Maleficent? And I don't believe she is dead. This was a very fast exit for a character. Emma just needs to believe she killed her to turn evil.
Best scene of the episode: Cruella playing Angry Birds!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I kinda miss Cruella already, damn. Like she was evil as hell but I liked it. And LOL, I love how Henry looked at Pongo as if the dog personally betrayed him.
ReplyDeleteAND OH SHIT AT THE END. THIS ISN'T GOING TO END WELL.
WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK WAS THAT.
ReplyDeletePure evil genius.
DAMN IT WHY MAKE EMMA KILL?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DAMN IT DAMN IT DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! did not expect that twist with Cruella not being able to kill
ReplyDeleteWow! Didn't see that coming love Cruella was actually a villian who was a villian
ReplyDeleteUghh, this show. Why the hell would they kill off Cruella?! Why do they keep killing off great characters, yet they keep the annoying/useless one?
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of really confused... but also extremely intrigued. P.S. ONCE always knows when to throw something at you just when you think you know what they are all about. lol, I'm gonna have to watch this one a couple more times.
ReplyDeleteI'm still shocked!
ReplyDeleteOMFG that episode was beyond amazing but the ending hurt me. Cruella was my Favourite queen of darkness.
ReplyDeleteDon't know if I'm prepared for Dark Emma 😨
ReplyDeleteI’m not liking the whole Emma thing, while the idea is a good one the execution so far not so much. I mean, how can killing Cruella turn her evil? Unless she enjoyed it or something, it was pretty much self defense and nothing else.
ReplyDeletelong time since a TRUE villain huh? since Pan right? LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat do I think? I think that the first half of the show was cut off by tornado warnings. ReplyDeleteI would say since Zelena.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely amazing with all the twists and turns, I really didn't see that coming, Cruella's backstory had me intrigued I was feeling so sorry for her, being the flower in the attic then the truth came out, I'm going to miss her didn't know she was going out like that and at the hands of the savior, it's never a dull moment in storybrook, next week is going to be even crazier!!!!

ReplyDeleteMost iconic scene was Cruella listening to the radio and the Cruella de Vil song came on and she said it is her favorite song.
ReplyDeleteLol
ReplyDeleteGood episode.Loved Cruella so I'll miss her.Its good the shows getting less croweded though cast wise.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed
ReplyDeleteThey could just kill off the useless characters like Will and Belle. That way, we would still have Cruella.
ReplyDeleteoh right! duh, forgot about her LOL, strange since we just saw her HA!
ReplyDeleteFor once, a villain that was actually evil to the core ...
ReplyDeletesine Pan and Zelena, you mean
ReplyDeleteCruella was fabulous till the end. One of my favourite villains ever on Oncer
ReplyDeletedo you think emma will be the next villain?
ReplyDeletedo you really think emma will go dark? if so in next season...is she doomed?
ReplyDeleteGreat episode.
ReplyDeleteSo Cruella loved to kill. She was twisted since the very beggining.
Her character was awesome, short lived but awesome.
The kid that plays Henry was cringe worthy tonight, Man how bad acting was that?, Even Emma's look at the end was horrible e.e
Same, but mine was just for some stupid thunderstorms. Do you live in southeast US?
ReplyDeleteYes I do and spoilers and interviews are leading us in that direction. Josh Dallas said that next season will se verynhardnonnthe fans and
ReplyDeleteJosh Dallas called the Big Bad for next season "unimaginable, the worst thing that could possibly happen, tough for everybody, distressing for fans"
ReplyDeleteYeah, I don't see how Cruella not actually being able to shoot Henry is relevant. It's like when a bank robber brandishes a fake weapon and gets shot by the security guard. Not Emma's fault for taking her threats seriously.

It's Ruby. She's gone feral.
ReplyDeletefunny but seriusosly i'm horrified in who it could be
ReplyDeletewho's Richard?
ReplyDeleteEmma will kill Gold and become the new Dark One. I'm serious about that one. I believe I heard that Robert Carlisle wants off the show, and this could be a way to write him off.
ReplyDeleteWhat's another name for Richard.
ReplyDeleteI knew Ursula & Cruella were not going to stay until the end of the arc when Rumble told Maleficent, "you are who I need" or something.
ReplyDeletegreat episode again. Only one question I don't know: how she travelled to the Enchanted Forest?
ReplyDeleteoh no, really? sources?
ReplyDeleteAmazing episode!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteReally well paced, Victoria was killing it and I was so engaged into Cruella's story that her departure really hurt.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking that she hasn't been sleeping well lately.
ReplyDeleteWeather ruined it for me but will watch it again later. ReplyDeleteThe look the make up team gave her obviously shows her transformation to the "dark side". The make up has gradually changed thru the last episodes...
ReplyDeletea perfect sociopath she was, it isn't?
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't look like it's changed to me, it just looks nonexistent
ReplyDeleteHELL NO!!!! THAT BETTER NOT HAPPEN, there's no coming back from that!!!!
ReplyDeleteohhh! LOL very mean but funny

ReplyDeleteYes, in the worst possible way ...
ReplyDeleteI agree. Bad to the bone in a classy way - if that's even possible :-)
ReplyDeleteShe shall be missed.
It's not killing her per se, but the act of killing. It crosses a line. Emma's never killed someone before, and this is going to change her.
ReplyDeleteeesh!
ReplyDeleteBut what kind of villain would Emma be? I mean what will be her target? Killing her parents? Destroying Storybrooke?Killing everyone who comes near Henry? I don't see that. Cruella have appear in one more episode. Not in this, that in next season. We need to know HOW she end up in Enchanted Forrest.
ReplyDeleteAnd BTW it was nice explanation, that Cruella's bluffing with that pistol and Gold in s04e12.
Exactly. 10/10.
ReplyDeleteThat's why she have to appear in one more episode in this or next season.
ReplyDeletethis I would like much :-)

Riveting stuff this episode certainly has. WIN-WIN!!
ReplyDeleteno other male actor as Robert Carlyle can break my heart with his tears and his acting, as he does always.

ReplyDeleteOh, thank goodness! I love me some Rumple and RC. He cannot go anywhere! Haha!
ReplyDeleteLol, well then that's just a compliment towards the make-up department!
ReplyDeleteWe don't know if she was unable to kill in the world without magic. Could be she was only unable to in places with magic.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing ep! I think Cruella's backstory is my favorite so far (for a non regular character) The twists were just too good (her being the evil one not her mother the the fact that she could not kill). This was just excellent writing!

She couldn't kill the author and there was no magic there other than what he'd brought with him.
ReplyDeleteI would think a plot like that would bring up ratings and keep viewers on the edge of their seats if they cause JMO to be a hero again
ReplyDeleteNo, Walsh died. Emma told Killian in 4x3 that she was afraid of losing him because everyone she had been with was dead: "Neal, Graham, even Walsh." ReplyDeleteBest scene of the episode: Cruella playing Angry Birds!
Does anyone knlw how did Cruella end in Enchanted Forest?
ReplyDelete
