This table shows the early overnight ratings. These ratings are normally adjusted later in the day when all the ratings have been consolidated to take into account any local preemptions and/or overruns. Early Ratings Analysis

The analysis below is based on the early household numbers and are NOT the same as the numbers that will be posted in the above table later. (See the About section below)

About the Daily Ratings

Each day (except Sunday) during the main TV Season we post the TV Ratings for the previous nights primetime shows for the major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, NBC). Cable Network ratings will be added to the Ratings Database.

The first item that gets posted (normally around 2pm GMT) is the early overnight analysis based on the early household numbers (these are not the same as the Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers that are posted later).

Next, if available, we will post the Top 25 Market 18-49 Ratings to give you a rough idea of the ratings to following.

Later on (normally between 4pm-5pm GMT) we post the official early overnight Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers in the table above (We also where possible now post the 18-34 and 25-54 Demo Numbers).

Finally, later in the evening (10pm-11pm GMT) or the following day, the final adjusted ratings numbers are released, these are then posted in the Ratings Database. The Final Adjusted numbers are what we use for all our Renew/Cancellation Tables, Full Season Tables, Ratings Scorecards etc (see below). Friday's Final Adjusted Ratings are normally available on the following Monday.

  3. I'm viewing the table on my phone and I can only see the left hand side of the table. Can somebody tell me what Constantine got please? Haha.

  4. Now that the show is officially over I'm expecting nonstop rumors (founded or unfounded) about a SyFy or Netflix pickup until May.

    ReplyDelete
  5. NBC owns Syfy so you would think it would be fairly easy for them to just switch it over.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Ouch Hawaii Five O.Its not doing well on syndication and with Person of Interest its the show with most chance to get axed.

    ReplyDelete
  7. iPhone? I have the same problem but refreshing tends to help.

  8. They will still have to renegotiate with WB if they wanted to shift Constantine to cable. If WB is uninterested in adjusting the licensing fee for SyFy the move won't happen.

I could see Netflix being interested in the series though.

  9. Horrible night but that was very predictable due to it being Valentine's Eve and the premiere of 50 Shades of Grey. The CW and the ABC comedies are the biggest winners for preempting the programs!

Winners: Hart of Dixie, Last Man Standing, Cristela, Shark Tank

Honorable mention: Grimm, Undercover Boss, Blue Bloods, World's Funniest Fails

Losers: Hawaii Five-0, Constantine, Glee, 20/20

  10. ?? Hart of Dixie, Cristela and Last Man didn't air last night

    ReplyDelete
  11. Is 50 Shades of Grey that popular?

    ReplyDelete
  12. He says those shows are winner since they were preempeted.

    ReplyDelete
  13. It's currently on track to be the biggest "R-rated" February premier in history.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Why did you list LMS as a winner ?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Because it luckily was not aired last night

    ReplyDelete
  16. Happy Single Awareness Day! :D

  17. Its amazing how Blue Bloods does well on death slot, abilty to bring 11 million viewers in that slot is wonderful.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Oh ok, I get it now. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Syfy is actually developing a DC property, a prequel based on the city of Krypton.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Great for Shark Tank as usual, and is this series low for Undercover Boss?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Ah I see being from the UK I don't really understand the way networks in the US work. Thank you for explaining it to me cheers.

  22. I think those two shows are most vulnerable of veterans. POI because retention is terrible and non-CBS and H50 because it has plenty of episodes and could easily be replaced by, say, CSI or NCIS: LA on Fridays at 9/8 and not impact BB at all.

  23. I dropped Constantine after the third episode, but people are saying it's gotten better and I've promised myself to watch it if it gets a second season. I think too many people, like me, were turned off by the weak start and are simply waiting for an official announcement.

    ReplyDelete
  24. If nothing,Constantine has loyal fans keeping the show at 0.8.It could do well on SyFy if it gets there.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Yes, Krypton is in development, but I'm not sure if it has been ordered to series.

If NBCU/SyFy wanted, they could probably negotiate packaging Constantine and Krypton together on one contract for SyFy. But again it really depends on costs in the end since SyFy is a relatively low viewership channel.

Bad week for everyone not named Blue Bloods.

Surprised Glee rose against W18-34 draw 50 Shades of Grey.

    $90 million popular.

  28. That's why they are winners in my book. Not the shows themselves but the networks for preempting them. It was going to be a bad night, it was pretty obvious, so the shows who sat it out are the ones that come out on top, IMO.

  31. Wow,impressive.Feel bad for Spongebob movie I like the cartoon.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Not sure if Syfy could afford it though.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Constantine is dead as expected. Only chance it has if it gets picked up by SyFy.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Well even though H50 is not great this week the past few episodes had good ratings and i think the best episodes are coming so the rating will go up, I'm 100% sure.
So I'm not worried yet, besides CBS loves the show
And this episode was really good so I'm surprised by the ratings

    ReplyDelete
  35. The shows that actually aired are the winners, not the shows that run away.

    ReplyDelete
  36. It's a shame most networks look at the demos rather than the total viewers because Constantine could then be viewed as at least a cult-hit.

Goodbye Constantine, I hardly knew ye. But I'm hoping for a web series or at least most the characters being picked by Del Toro for his Dark Universe film.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I'd rather Netflix take Constantine rather than SyFy personally.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Knowing when to pick your battles can be a win in itself. Airing originals in poor viewed evening last night only to air repeats in perfectly fine nights is a poor choice. Saving originals in poor viewed nights like last night and air the in fine nights later in the season is a good strategy that is a win and should be noted as such.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Blue Bloods deserves to be listed as a winner.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Syfy runner Ted, said that he doesn't know where those rumors are from. It's not true.

Constantine is surely cancelled. I've made my peace.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Really?

Don't want to be rude, but personally, I hate Spongebob and find it to be the most annoying cartoon I've ever seen.

Both these movies don't deserve the popularity, imo.

    ReplyDelete
  42. The fact that ABC decided not to air them doesn't make them a winner.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Great Hawaii Five-0 episode!! Everyone who missed it should watch it On Demand, at CBS' site, iTunes, Amazon... CSI:NY's Melina Kanakaredes on February 20, comedy legend Cloris Leachman on February 27!

    ReplyDelete
  44. honestly, don't think it really got much better later, except maybe one or 2 of the last couple of episodes (not counting the finale cause I didn't see it yet). The biggest problem IMO is the weak co-stars. Matt Ryan was doing a great job as Constantine, but Zed..and the other guy, Chase?, they have like no charism, no 'presence'. I'm unsure if it's the writing of the characters or because of the actors or bit of both, but never could care less about any of them,
