  1. Great promo ! I think we are going to love Donna :-)

  2. What?! Ray is the first person to see Felicity's apartment? Are you kidding me?!!! Not Oliver, not John, not Roy? GOD I can't believe I am saying this but I would even take Laurel, BUT RAY? SERIOUSLY ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

    ReplyDelete
  3. why not? He seems to be close to her these days

    ReplyDelete
  4. Felicity's mom entrance is HILARIOUS

    ReplyDelete
  5. we don't know if anyone of them have already been in her apartment

    ReplyDelete
  6. LMAO Donna Smoak!!! Ray's reaction was my reaction. This will be lots of fun. Ray in Felicity's house already... Oliver take lessons. Looks like this will be the episode we hear Ray's tragic back story. His parents died in the comics right??

So ex boyfriend is the villain. SURPRISE!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Why does it matter?

    ReplyDelete
  8. This Ray scene just doesnt get rid of Rays stalkerish tendencies.

    ReplyDelete
  9. It all depends on why he is at her home. But yes I was glad his stalkerish tendencies were gone.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Exactly! That's the point they've known each other for less than a month and they didn't show him as a great guy, so stop shoving him down our throats, if they want to make us like him they are failing miserably!! That's not gonna happen by making him date Felicity and alienating her from the rest of the cast so we would understand why they are getting close.

    ReplyDelete
  11. And the OMAC references in Felicitys past are getting a bit scary.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Because I don't like that they are making her trust him that fast, and also I wanted the first person to be in her apartment to be someone we know, I actually wanted it to be Dig.

    ReplyDelete
  13. what is OMAC? can someone explain to me?

    ReplyDelete
  14. I think Oliver and Diggle have visited her apartment off screen before. About Ray we have to see to understand the reason for his visit. I hope he is not stalking her again. I think this scene is set up so that Ray can share with Felicity about his parents and their death.

That being said as on Oliver/Diggle/Felicity fan it is a bit difficult to not see these three interact at all. Especially Diggle/Felicity. Four episodes in they have yet to have a scene together. I hope Oliver/Felicity and Diggle/Felicity will get some quality scenes this episode. After all they are her friends.

I don't care who visits Felicity at her home. I am so happy Felicity is getting her episode.

    ReplyDelete
  15. But it's the first time WE get to see it, I don't want creepy eyes Ray there, they ruined the scene.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Where was OMAC reference shown in her past? Did I miss something?

    ReplyDelete
  17. In episode 3 while Ray was looking at the files retrieved from applied sciences hardware. Under the weapons bluprint there was a name OMAC. OMAC is huge in DC universe. It is an Organization or weapon used against superheroes.

    ReplyDelete
  18. "That being said as on Oliver/Diggle/Felicity fan it is a bit difficult to not see these three interact at all. Especially Diggle/Felicity. I agree completely it's so annoying and frustrating that they are separating them like that and even worse they are making Ray her confidant now!! Like we are supposed to forget what he did after two episodes?

    ReplyDelete
  19. I was so hoping Olicity was going to happen this season...only reason I was interested. ...unfortunately it looks like it won't. I hope everyone else keeps enjoying the show...so bummed especially since they have such great chemistry.

    ReplyDelete
  20. It is a comic book ( Google it ) reference.h

    ReplyDelete
  21. Mama Smoak looks fun.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I think we are going to love Donna. What an entrance!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Olicity is not over, the writers are just trying to torture us but they will get together eventually, Marc even tweeted that there will be some Olicity scenes in this episode. We just need to be patient.

    ReplyDelete
  24. She seems like a lot of fun.

    ReplyDelete
  25. The Eye being used on the screen and in the past he's wearing an eye t-shirt. People are speculating that OMAC is tied to Ex Boyfriend and Felicity's dark past.

Makes sense in a way since they're tying Ray/Felicity storylines together and Ray's big reveal was getting the OMAC data for which he desperately needed Felicity .

All spec at this point but it would be cool if they tied Felicity's flashbacks in 305 to her present not just in 305 but for her season long arc.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I don't think Ray will be her confidant. I think he is in a situation where he sees Felicity's interaction with her mother and as a man who lost his parents tragically he gives her a nudge. That does not mean Felicity is going to run to him at every single moment. If he become's Felicity Smoak's friend I will be fine with it too.

I am just sad we are not getting any Diggle/Felicity. May be this episode will change that:)

You can see in the posters the phrase: Save Earth From The Cyborg Menace. Her boyfriend is also wearing a shirt with the eye in the center which usually is a reference to OMAC.

  28. Thank you for explaining this. That would be so cool if her actions 5 years before has far reaching implications on future story line. Now I want this so badly. It will make sense why they are making Ray interact only with Felicity.

    ReplyDelete
  29. A few points: 1) I'm assuming dude kicking gun boys asses is Digg with a ski mask on, finally, its about bloody time! Of everyone on team Arrow right now, he should be the one most concerned about concealing his identity being a new dad and all... 2) Love love LOVE Mama Smoak's entrance, lmao! I was like wtf in the best way possible... 3) I'm not entirely comfortable with Ray being the first person we see in Felicity's apartment (at least Oliver MAY have been there before him - its kinda sorta mentioned in the Arrow 2.5 comics - she tells Oliver to go crash there for the night, whether he did or not is unclear) but we still haven't seen any team Arrow member there on Arrow proper, which is a shame. Ray's probably just showed up at her place like a few minutes before Mama Smoak, but still, just isn't sitting well... I could go on for like a few more, but I think I'll reserve my theories for another time...

    ReplyDelete
  30. Oohh Thanks. Internet wins :) If this is true it would be so cool :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. I was talking about the promotional photo when she was crying and he was standing next to her and now he is in her apartment, I am not against them becoming friends but not yet it's too soon, besides he is so shady we don't even know if he's good or bad yet.

I hope so, I want my Team Arrow scenes so bad it's been way too long :(

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yes about Diggle. I am glad to see him kicking ass. At last a mask. Last episode in the monastry scene I was thinking all the other three ninjas are wearing a mask where as Diggle is coolly walking in. It does not make sense.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!! Will you stoppppp???? You got her already, she's working for your company!! WHAT IS HE DOING THERE??? GET OUT!!!!! You should NOT be her first visitor, You shouldn't even be a visitor!!!

On another note, I really do look forward to seeing her apt. and meeting her mother.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I agree. I miss Team Arrow the trio. :( My only hope is at least one scene will be there where Felicity will have to explain herself to the guys. Don't keep too much expectations that way we will not be disappointed. Whatever happens yay! for Felicity.

    ReplyDelete
  35. That's the spirit lol

    ReplyDelete
  36. They could have had this introduction in the office. Then there would have been no problem.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Marc can be a huge troll when it comes to anything related to Oliver and Felicity. The only scenes I'm anticipating between the 2 in 3x05, are work/case-of-the-week related as they build her relationship with Ray up, and making Oliver's personal life focus right now on Thea...

    ReplyDelete
  38. It looked super awkward! 3 masked ninjas and a big hulking brown man walk into a monastery... like the beginning of a bad joke or something lol

    ReplyDelete
  39. Trust comes fast in this show. Be it Thea trusting Malcolm enough to leave with him or Laurel trusting Ted Grant (I am not saying Ted Grant is a bad person) enough to take up his offer. Why should Felicity be any different. At least we have few episodes under the belt already.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Don't get me started on Thea and Malcolm every time she calls him dad I want to throw something at the TV I mean you are angry at Oliver and Roy for lying and keeping secrets and you can't trust them so you trust him???? Because he taught you how to fight? As for Laurel and Ted it's different he he is not a bad guy and she doesn't trust him personally yet she is just angry and wants to learn to fight and he owns a boxing gym so it's just a relationship of convenience for now.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Yeah but angering the already frustrated Olicity fandom is a suicidal move, you think he would be that stupid? It's possible but it won't be a very wise move.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I'm okay with the whole Ray thing as long as Felicity invited him to her apartment for some work stuff. Otherwise it's just a callback to his stalkerish tendencies and I probably will write him off as a potential love interest if he doesn't. It's the whole 3 strikes and you're out thing. First strike was in the first episode where he stalked her, second was in the second episode where he bought Tech Village just to get Felicity which was 50 shades of creepy...

Anyways, I am silently hoping that the writers don't use this episode as a way to establish a romance with Ray. I don't want that AT ALL. Maybe in a different episode, but not this. I've waited a year and a half for an episode about Felicity that I don't have time for this Ray crap. I just want Felicity, her flashbacks, to see her relationship with her mother, and seeing Felicity kick ass with Team Arrow.

Also Felicity's mom looks so fun! I wouldn't put it past her to flirt with Ray or Digg or even Roy or Oliver :p It's gonna be hilarious

    ReplyDelete
  43. Thea/Malcolm relationship frustrates me as much as it excites me. LOL. Don't get me wrong on Laurel/Ted. I am not saying Laurel is wrong or Ted is a bad guy. But she just went there to investigate him about a kid and he vaguely admitted he is lying to her to protect the kid. And he called her out on her anger issues to justify his actions. If Laurel had gotten more interactions with Ted before taking up on his offer for self defense I would have been more happy. As I said I am nit picking here as I thought they would get to interact more before she starts her classes.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I don't think they are going to push for a Ray/Felicity romance this episode. I think they will use this episode to give Ray some depth by him sympathizing with Felicity and Donna. About him being in her apartment it all depends on why he is there. He is established to be a workaholic. Maybe he is there to give her some new project. Who knows at this point.

I am first and foremost a Felicity fan. I don't care who is shown at her home first. I am so excited for her story line. Mama Smoak is a blast. Now if I have some Diggle/Felicity scenes I will be happy.

I dunno....I like Ray Palmer....I hope he gives Oliver a run for his money when it come to Felicity. Perhaps it will make Oliver appreciate Felicity....instead of taking her for granted.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Me too *cyber fist bump*... I was not a huge fan of his stalkerish tendencies in episode 1 and 2. But I like him over all. He appreciates Felicity's intellect. She needs to get out of her nest.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Bertha Strongham2 November 2014 at 19:54

I too am a Felicity fan first and foremost. I am excited to see how her backstory develops. I think it will allow the show to reach new heights.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Lol yeah. I just really hope he was invited. I really want to like him :p A boss going to their employee's house unannounced is just so unprofessional and creepy. And based on what Felicity was wearing (pajamas), I don't even think she invited him. :/ Oh writers, I have too much faith in them.

Oh no, I don't really care that Ray was at Felicity's house first. I just care that we actually got to see it at all :p I SO can't wait for this episode! I've been dying to know more about Felicity.

Also, I've been denied of my Digg/Felicity moments all season, I hope we get some here too :)

    ReplyDelete
  49. I think 3x07 will be the episode where we get a big Dig/Felicity moment.

    ReplyDelete
  50. But is it too much to ask for more? :p I adore their friendship! Also what makes you say 3x07? Is there a spoiler I missed?

    ReplyDelete
  51. Bertha Strongham2 November 2014 at 19:57

    Back'atcha lady!

I first read your last sentence as: He needs to get into her nest.

I was literally killing myself with laughter! I am in agreement with you that she needs to get out of her nest.

I too like the way that Ray understands her intellect, and how amazing she is at what she does on the computer. It was like the Flash gang -- the way they knew about her history and the amazing feats she had accomplished.

    ReplyDelete
  52. That's the episode where Ray asks her to be his date in a QC function right? So why do you think we will get a Digg/Felicity scene?

    ReplyDelete
  53. I like the idea of Ray, you know someone to make Oliver realize how big of an idiot he was when he gave up on Felicity and the company, BUT I don't like how they are writing him, he's creepy and stalkery and so shady, and the fact that they are making Felicity trust him this fast is annoying me because she is a better judge of character than that.

    ReplyDelete
  54. AK replied to a question when we will get to see more of felicity/diggle relationship.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Bertha Strongham2 November 2014 at 20:02

I hear you on Ray. I will say, that I think you are right, that he is being used to make Olly realize how apathetic he has been on the whole life front. Oliver is hiding right now as the Arrow and he will have to realize that the Arrow does not pay the bills.....

I also think, that there must be something still to come that we don't know about with respect to why Ray has been sooo enamored with Felicity.....sooo quickly.....

    ReplyDelete
  56. Thing is; for one thing, the more - for lack of a better word - obsessive that particular fandom becomes (and honestly I've seen quite a few whackadoos out there) the more I FEEL the actors and producers get put off. And so prolonging the relationship becomes an easier decision to make, so they don't have to deal with the more aggressive fans and keep fans focused on the overall journey of the show, rather than turning it into just an Oliver/Felicity centric program.

Another possibility could be just them toying with fans, getting them riled up like so many other shows do. It's a tactic of story telling. the more they know you want it, the longer they're gonna make you wait.

It's be a real shame and totally waste of time though, with all this foundation they are putting down for Oliver and Felicity, for them to get to the last season and end it with Oliver and Laurel anyway...

    ReplyDelete
  57. Bertha Strongham2 November 2014 at 20:05

Oooooooo I can't wait for this epi, they go on a date.....I bet Oliver aka Arrow busts it up. I predict a huge moment for Felicity and Oliver in this epi.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I am going to be devil's advocate here (in this case Ray's). Think about it from Felicity's pov. Last year she lost her credibility in her working community by being Oliver's EA. When season 3 begins she is working a low level job at Tech Village. In Arrow season 2.5 comics she has a job at Kord Industries IT dept. So something happens for her to loose her job. Maybe it's her reputation or it's because of her night job.

The way Ray went about using her advise to get QC and then stalk her to ask about job and buying the whole company was super creepy for us. But for Felicity she is being appreciated at last for her talents and abilities. She took that job because she got it on her merits. Also he showed her some kindness when she was at her low point. I don't see Felicity/Ray relationship as her trusting him. I see it as her appreciating him as he sees her talents.

Now being shady about the applied sciences dept and the weapons program Felicity did not see that creepy face.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Thanks. We have to wait till 3x07 :( Now I am sad.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I hope not. But its frustrating. They made this season too hectic.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Exactly. I am not saying Oliver does not appreciate what Felicity does for him. But he does take her for granted most of the time. Ray on the other hand being a scientist himself appreciates and sometimes in awe of her intelligence. I loved The Flash episode. It showed that where Cisco needs half an hour to do something Felicity can hack the same in minutes. I need more people in her life who understands her talents. This season is great as a Felicity fan.

PS: "He needs to get inside her nest" LOL. Now I wish I had written that.

    ReplyDelete
  62. yeah I think their messing with us...it really would be a waste of time though if it doesn't happen....what would be the point of it...I'm just mentally preparing myself for it not happening, that way I won't be disappointed...I'm really trying not to care cause their going to do what their going to do anyways...I have no say in it...I'm just really hoping it happens in the end...they are so perfect together..

    ReplyDelete
  63. Well Felicity trusted Oliver and Diggle quickly and they sort of lied to her a lot... Felicity is just a trusting person in general. Well Oliver did the lying, Diggle just judged Oliver for being a terrible liar lol.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I'm with you, they're gonna do whatever they're gonna do. And I'm preparing for it to not happen. The writers and all should either commit to it or stop fucking with people once and for all... I just really don't want to see it end up a skinny love relationship between them, it'd be such a waste...

    ReplyDelete
  65. Argh!!! I never learn. Entered the wrong place again. *backs away as quickly as possible*

    ReplyDelete
  66. I have to disagree with you, she trusted them in spite of their lies, even though they were lying to her (very badly I might add) she knew that they were trust worthy and she trusted Barry even when Oliver didn't and she was right about that, but she didn't trust Moira or Isabel (and it wasn't because she was jealous of her she didn't like her since episode 1) and when Laurel wanted the Arrow's help with Blood she agreed with Laurel that Blood was a little suspicious and when Oliver revealed himself to Roy she was the one to point out the fact that Roy wasn't the best person to trust with their secret, and on the Flash she didn't like it when Barry told his team that she works with the Arrow, she didn't trust them with her secret even though she knows them and knows their secret.

    ReplyDelete
  67. But if they keep toying with the Olicity fans like that they will turn them from loyal fans to an angry mob, that wouldn't be in their best interest, they have to keep giving them a scene or two every now and then just to keep them hooked.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Keep the hope alive.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Speaking of bills, how does he pay for food? and who pays the liar's electric bill? and how was he going to pay for the Italian dinner for that matter? lol

If they want her (and us) to trust him so quickly then they have to start writing him better.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I really don't like Ray that much so it's weird that I'm defending him in this case... The problem is, is that we knew more about Oliver/Diggle at that point than we do about Ray. We knew that Oliver is trustworthy so it wasn't that hard to believe why Felicity trusted him in spite of his lies.

But you could definitely say the same for Ray. Felicity trusts Ray in spite of his stalkerish tendencies. It may be difficult for US to believe because we don't know Ray's true intentions, but maybe Felicity thinks he's trustworthy enough to look past that? Maybe it's because he appreciates her and was nice enough to give her time off to go to central city etc.

    ReplyDelete
  71. It's nice to see someone appreciating her that much, but the guys appreciate her too, Dig told her that she is irreplaceable and Oliver told her that she is remarkable and when she hacked into the prison system network he was proud of her, they just don't fangirl around her like Ray lol which is a shame really she deserves it and it must be nice when someone appreciates her professionally for more than her hacking and locating criminals talents that must be giving her a huge ego boost especially like you said when last season everyone was talking about her.

    ReplyDelete
  72. So excited! Can't wait to learn more about Felicity. A virus being released that Felicity wrote herself, now that's a scary thought. Also eagerly anticipating any Olicity development that may come of from this episode.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Ray is only on the show temporarily. He's not a real threat. Not saying you can't be upset about him, of course, but just that he's not a permanent situation. He's here as angst for Olicity and that's pretty much it.

    ReplyDelete
  74. well he is kind of an stalker i can see it knowing her adrees since he saw her in the store

    ReplyDelete
  75. They won't do that. They are doing what every show does, putting obstacles between the couple everyone is rooting for. They aren't put off at all, and there are overzealous fans in every fan base. No one is asking for an Olicity centric program. It's a subplot, a part of the show but not the main focus, and I think most fans know that. They even paralleled Olicity with Barry/Iris in The Flash! C'mon, they are doing right but us ultimately. They just don't want to rush it and pace it correctly.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I'm with you, they're gonna do whatever they're gonna do. I'm preparing for it not to happen honestly, coz I have a strong suspicion that even IF it does, its not gonna last... The writers and all need to either commit to it completely or leave it be and stop f(expletive)ing with people... I'd just rather see nothing, than a skinny love between them.

    ReplyDelete
  77. After Felicity joined Team Arrow he life kind of shaped around that. She is spending all her time in foundry. Her job title was changed to EA which was beneath her yet people talked about her sleeping to get the job. She has had no relationships while all the guys including Roy has been in one. This might be due to her feelings for Oliver or due to the secret life.

Oliver and Diggle definitely appreciates her help and loves her a lot but I don't think they realize her need to excel in her profession. Be it Diggle, Oliver or Roy they are first and foremost soldiers. So for them Arrow jobs comes first. But for Felicity she is an IT professional first. So for someone to see that and want her for her credentials would have been wonderful for her after 2 years. That's Ray Palmer's worth for Felicity.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Here is what we know about Ray: the first time he met her he lied to her and it wasn't so he could catch an assassin like Oliver did but it was so he could trick her into helping him steal the company from Oliver, then he stole the company from Oliver, then he stalked her at the hospital and acted like a jerk bragging about his awesome speech, the next episode he stalked her again and bought the company that runs the store, then he was looking at weapons on his computer, so how and why are we supposed to like and trust him? and that's what I'm saying you want us to trust him then give us a reason to, other than the fact that he's going to date Felicity and that he gave her the big office.

Well he did come in a very low point in her life (working at a tech store, Oliver broke her heart and Sara died) and he made her feel like one of a kind, he made her feel her true worth.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I agree, he's very creepy.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Probably about all the crazy fans complaining about Ray being in the same room as Felicity lmao.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Hope you're right :) I am a skeptic and as the saying goes Inside every hardened skeptic's a frustrated romantic...

    ReplyDelete
  82. NO WAY! People did that? Give me their names!! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  83. interesting promo. wish they didn't reveal that spoiler at the end though even though it was obvious

    ReplyDelete
  84. FTR I didn't complain about him being in the same room with her I didn't like that he was the first person to meet her mom and that the first time we saw her apartment he was there.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Very true, but you never know where the story may lead or what the writer's intentions are - after all Felicity wasn't a main cast member in the beginning either. Maybe he is just fandom fodder, maybe he'll end up on The Flash for a while, maybe he'll join the Arrow cast, maybe he'll leave and Felicity will leave with him, opening the Laurel/Oliver story line up again, OR maybe - as you rightly say - he's just there as angst for the Oliver/Felicity fans who knows, I guess I was just hoping the writers wouldn't go down such a well traveled tv show path...

    ReplyDelete
  86. I want to say something about the first scene between Felicity and Ray. It's not clear if Ray Palmer visited Tech Village to meet Felicity or he read her name tag and realised this is the Felicity Smoak he wants to hire (we clearly see him reading her name tag and then ask her about QC and new job). Now even if he knew Felicity was working there and he was trying to hire her by going there and meeting with her, he did not go there to use her to steal the company from Oliver. He already had a plan to hack into QC servers and he wanted to buy a satellite frequency communicator for that. It was Felicity who gave him all the tools to hack into QC unknowingly. At this point we don't even know if Ray Palmer knew of her friendship with Oliver Queen.

Now pinging the gps and buying the whole company was stalkerish and extreme. But I hope there is some other major reason for her interest in her.

    ReplyDelete
  87. haha yeah I know I was slightly exaggerating. :P I personally don't really see the big deal but I guess I can kinda see why fans would be annoyed if they disliked Ray Palmer.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Well Laurel isn't really known for making very smart life decisions and let's leave it at that before we get attacked for being hateful.

    ReplyDelete
  89. i really dislike the fact that the EPs were trying to sell how charming he is and in the end he just turned out creepy and stalkerish. Also claiming he will be the new fan favorite didnt help the matter also. So for me it was mostly the EPs overselling Ray that i am annoyed with his character.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I think he knew her and went there specifically and he told her about what he was going to do hoping that she would help him with a better way that's why he didn't defend himself when she told him that he tricked her.

He seems to be working on a big project so we'll have to wait and see.

    ReplyDelete
  91. A lot of people really like Ray and say he's a great addition from the reviews I've read though. So I get if you don't like him but I don't think that's the general opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  92. That's why I didn't like him at the beginning and then my dislike for him grew when I actually saw his scenes.

    ReplyDelete
  93. He is also been called 50 Shades of Ray by some reviews.

    ReplyDelete
  94. lol I've only seen that on a forum tbh. Anyway I just find it funny that most people complain about him being at her house and meeting her mother without any context of the scene.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I think its his previous borderline stalker behaviour and the most normal reaction is of course he would know where she lives. It just seems like a patern that keeps repeating.

    ReplyDelete
  96. i LOVE Ray Palmer , he is one of the best things of the new season so far. He is refreshing and BR's on-screen chemistry with EBR's Felicity is great. Also he is mysterious since we dont know (apart from the fact the he will be the Atom) what his intentionsare and im pretty sure he will harm team Arrow somehow even though he is not a bad guy. Also for those being concerned that he will somehow replace Oliver's part in Felicity's life they need to pay attention and dont judge an episode before they see it. In other words SLOW BURN all the way people...

  97. Haven't really seen that much "stalking" behavior from him and find it greatly exaggerated by some fans but whatever. People gotta complain about a 5 second scene from a promo.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Well let them complain. Didnt people complain that there wasnt enough Laurel in the promos for season 3?

    ReplyDelete
  99. I didn't see it that way. First I thought when the sales girl turned out to be smart he read the name tag and realized this is the "Felicity Smoak" I want to hire. Then I got the feeling he already knew about her and went there to scope her out and to see if she will accept his job offer. But in no way I thought he went there with the intend to trick her into helping her.

He is a doctor with already some knowledge in hacking. I am sure he could have done the job without Felicity's help he already had the right idea. She just gave him better tools which he unapologetically used to hack into QC. Either way he did mislead her by not revealing who he was as he says later in the episode. But I don't think he went to that shop thinking Felicity will help him hack into QC.

  100. lol that's true people did. but that's different. (don't really see how it's related) I get that would upset Laurel fans because they weren't hearing anything about the character at all and hearing a lot about the other characters. Obviously that was too avoid spoilers of Sara's death so that complaining was premature, but since they didn't know that I get those complaints about not knowing anything about her story-line for season 3.

But yeah people can complain if they want I ust thought it was funny lol.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Well people also dont know what they are getting with this episode. Not much was revealed in the CW listings unlike with other episodes who went into great details. The pics were released very late, later then for other episodes. So then speculations runs wild just like with Laurel missing from the promos.

    ReplyDelete
  102. yeah I agree with you completely.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I'm going to try and keep my hopes up....if nothing has happened at the end of season three I'll give up...until then I'm going to believe that this is just another hurdle for them to cross.

    ReplyDelete
  104. What I love about her the most is she's the exact opposite character I would ever expect to see on Arrow :p I can't wait to see her interact with Oliver (aka the most broody man on the show)

    ReplyDelete
  105. Even though it is highly doubtful is it possible that Ray Palmer and Cooper Seldon are related somehow ?

    ReplyDelete
  106. She barely knew Oliver when they got close. Ray is also the only one outside the group that she seems to be on talking terms with. Besides... It's just an apartment. Is it really that much of a big deal?

    ReplyDelete
  107. I don't think so. It could be possible Cooper Seldon (stupid name) had a hand in Ray's parent's murder. Even that would be too much of a coincidence unless Ray already knew Felicity's connection with this guy before contacting her.

PS: Look at that photo of BR he is such a superman.

    ReplyDelete
  108. If the only reason you are watching the show is hoping for Olicity, maybe you should invest in a different show...

I am honestly not saying this to offend you, but Arrow is first and foremost a superhero show, not a soap opera...

    ReplyDelete
  109. To be fair Oliver usually has a lot going on (like saving the city, world, or various others) and he has to depend on Felicity. No, he doesn't thank her each and everytime nor should he, it is her job and I believe she knows he appreciates her or else she wouldn't work with him, Felicity isn't a helpless damsel in distress.
Regardless Oliver doesn't seem the type for big flowery speeches or overt proclemations of love etc. If anyone is taken for granted it is him, he is always being pushed and pulled in every direction. I adore her but the scene wher she was upset with him when he didn't show emotion or grieve for Sarah like Felicty thought he should pissed me off. She knows what happen to him and how it changed him and you either take him as he is or don't.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Oh don't worry I'm not offended =) I've already given it up. I've decided to let it go..I realized it probably won't happen anyways =), she's going to end up with that Ray character. I do like the other stuff too just not enough..=). I'm glad so many people love the show though =)

  111. She hasn't alienated herself at all. She's still a member of the team. She just has more of a life outside it now.

    ReplyDelete
  112. I am not trying to blame Oliver and paint Felicity a victim here. Not at all. I know that both Oliver and Diggle love and appreciate Felicity a lot and they have made sure she knew that several times. But saying that Oliver and even Diggle to an extend is all about Team Arrow and its missions. They are soldiers first and foremost. Take for example the way Oliver changed Felicity's position at QC last year without even discussing with her. He did that because he felt that was the best way to maintain his and Felicity's cover. But by doing that he forced Felicity to work in a position for which she is over qualified but also people speculated she got the job by sleeping with the boss. That's where Ray Palmer comes in. Felicity is working at Tech Village when the season begins a low job for an MIT graduate. Ray Palmer sees her potential being a scientist himself and it must be an ego boost for the professional in Felicity to be acknowledged and hunted for her abilities.

I am not saying Oliver is in any way wrong or he needs to wax poetry about Felicity. What I am saying is he does not understand Felicity's need to be successful in a professional set up. Now about the scene where Felicity calls him out during the episode Sara. What you need to remember is just till one day before Oliver was completely open to her and this was going on for the past 5 months. Then he asks her on a date, it blows up, they call it quits, Sara dies and he is back to his stoic self and barking orders like last 5 months did not happen. Talk about whiplash. If bad things happened to Oliver then same bad things happened to Felicity too in season 3. She is allowed to have a reaction to it. She can have expectations from him too. Felicity is not just Oliver Queen's cheer leader. She does not have to suppress her feelings and annoyance for the sake of Oliver.

  113. Malcolm for all his faults never lied to Thea, never treated her like a china doll that needed protecting. His ability to see her strength and desire to and ability to forge it into something combined with his truthfulness are why Thea trusts him. I'm not saying I agree with her doing so entirely, but I get why she does.

    ReplyDelete
  114. No one knows what will happen in the end except the writers, so don't give up hope.

I personally have no problem regarding who Oliver will end up with, though in the comics, that's Laurel. I only hate it when they make romance the focus of the story.. This is a superhero show. Not saying romance has no place, of course it does, but it should take the back seat to the story and the action.

    ReplyDelete
  115. It's just more of 'writers shaking things up because they feel the demographic they pursue can't focus and needs constant change. Confict and angst is the percieved answer for ratings now days, plus break-up after break-up. SIlliness in my book, so when things head that way, I quite watching. So fluffy Bunny, you are right. In the scheme of things, it doesn't matter, because it doesn't matter to the writers and producers.

  116. When you make your audience constantly try and imagine why a character is acting a certain way, it is lazy writing - usually caused by having way too many plot lines going at once, similar to a soap opera. If you like that unrealistic tripe then fine, enjoy it, but don't expect it to change, or ever really make sense.

    ReplyDelete
  117. yeah I'm just going to relax and enjoy it. like you said only the writers know what's going to happen. we have no control =) I'll keep a bit of hope. but I'm going to sit back and enjoy the ride =)

    ReplyDelete
  118. I understand what you mean and I agree with the majority of your arguments, Sara's death is where we diverge.
Arrow knew, cared for and shared a long complicated history with Sara. Felicity knew her for what, about a year and yet she was the one sobbing and judging Oliver for not doing the same. People grieve differently and for her to want to dictate how he should process her death was way off base. Oliver needed to do this in his own way and in his own time. What he needed was to try and find out who killed her. If she cares for him the way she says she does she would have understood that and not make it about what she needs from him, but what he needed from her. Oliver has been through things that would have broken most men and yet he survived. Oliver is who he is and she fell for that Oliver, but suddenly she wants to change him?
You suggest that Felicity has a right to be annoyed and not to surpress her feeling and I would counter that at that point of time that is exactly what she should of done. It doesn't mean Oliver has regressed it means he is hurt and devistated that he lost his dear friend and is dealing with it the only way he could.

    ReplyDelete
  119. I am in no way justifying her actions that way. Felicity was unreasonable in saying the words "if you had any feelings" there is no two opinions about that. That was mean as she said. But just like Oliver internalizes his hurt and barks orders at her when he is going through trauma, Felicity snapped at Oliver in her hurt and his inability to communicate with her. If they had few days in between their break up and Sara's death her reaction would have been different imo.

About her crying for Sara's death, she is the only one in Team Arrow who is emotionally capable of grieving like a normal person during a friends death. Oliver goes on hunting mode, Diggle is always reserved, Roy is not close to Sara and Laurel who should cry for Sara is in a story arc where writers won't allow her to grieve LOL. And this was the first major death among their allies. While deaths of Tommy and Moira affected Oliver it never affected Felicity. This showed to all of them how fragile all of their future is. If someone as tough as Sara can die then what chance everyone else has?

I am a Felicity fan but I am not blind to her faults. There were several instances in season 2 where I was annoyed by her. The fantasy island comment in Three Ghosts after Oliver mentions Shado comes to mind. Also Time of Death... ugh I hated that one. She is no angel. Oliver is someone who has suffered a lot and we see his suffering in the past along the current story line. So Oliver gets my sympathy all the time. But it must be frustrating to deal with a person who acts lovingly towards you for months and then shuts you out at the first sign of trouble. In a way I am glad she acted a bit selfish at that time. Gave her some depth.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Really??? People complain that there isn't enough Laurel? She is okay but I wouldn't consider her one if team Arrow.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I will agree that acting selfishly is giving her some depth.

I think I was over reacting to your post because I am getting a bit tired of Saint like status some posters (not you) on this site and others are giving her and at the expense of Oliver. I adore her character but at the end of the day it comes down to the team working together and it at times it seems like some people feel that it's The Felicity Show.

You have made some good points and I concede. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  122. But this show isn't about their romance, it is about Team Arrow saving the day and righting the wrongs, Olicity is secondary. They don't owe any ship anything.

    ReplyDelete
  123. One problem I had last season was when Oliver changed her job without her permission Felicity accepted that after initial disagreement. Her reputation was shot in the working community just like that. So to see Ray Palmer hunt her for her abilities and give her a job worthy of her credentials is satisfying. The above discussion was about Ray Palmer and not Oliver at all LOL.

I do agree fandom in general is a bit over protective of the character Felicity Smoak. I think it's because lot of people (at least in internet community) who were dissatisfied and were ready to quit Arrow at the beginning of season 1 came back to the show because of this character. Arrow has some wonderful characters and season 3 is giving every character equal space unlike season 2 where characters were forgotten for few episodes at a time.

We are not at war dear friend :) Always open for Arrow discussions.
