Now that I've seen it, I'm a little surprised it took them 5 years of Angel mythology to use "Stairway to Heaven" as an episode title. Sounds promising when you consider it's one episode away from when the angel conflict should (hopefully) be resolved.
there are no news about MC renewing his contract, I've heard that there was also sth on twitter or tumblr and some speculate that maybe they'll kill him of or wrap up the whole angel storyline and lock up heaven for good this time.
I hope so. I freaking love Cas but they haven't known what to do with him since season 6. They have veered off of story lines to find ways to keep him around and it's just dragged the storyline. Of course I'd prefer for him to go back to being human with heaven closed.
No, the show hasn't forgotten the angels; Metatron, along with Gadreel and Sam/Dean/Castiel, are supposedly in 9.18 - Meta Fiction. But I have a feeling that the show is moving towards wrapping up anything currently 'wrong' with Heaven storyline by the finale - at least that's what one or more Carver interviews implies. But the Heaven storyline may carry over to ' early' S10 (that's just my spec). I have zero idea what this means for Misha/Cas - just that the cast can't really talk specifics about the end of season episodes because the show doesn't want to give anything away (prematurely) about the season finale two months in advance (referring to VegasCon).
Either Crowley or Dean is way I would be leading since King of hell and King of damned like he is going to loose hell. I keep thinking he thinks he can keep Dean in line by holding unto the one thing Dean craves which is the blade and I think it will blow up in his face. Dean is the one winchester he should not mess with especially since I have always thought Dean and Cass trip with Dick to purgatory was something he knew would happen. And he knew how sam would react. So I think if I were to fear a winchester Dean would be it.
I don't know - I don't think I would be watching SPN if it wasn't for him but if they were going to destroy his character completely than I prefer him to go lead the angels in heaven... Heh, we've got to wait and see
I disagree. Sam pretty much put Crowley in his place, telling him upfront that he's not going to trust him. Crowley knows that he will not get anything from Sam so he is going to manipulate Dean to get what he wants. So I think it's Dean who should be afraid of Crowley (judging the sneak peek Crowley is playing him like a violin), because the demon is smart. He survived Lucifer and Raphael. Crowley knows that Dean is a killing machine with the blade so he is not going to stay close to him.
Misha has a new Huff Post interview out - I just submitted it. At the end he essentially says he hopes to be in S10 but he doesn't know anything yet. Since Curtis says he's going to be in 9.22/9.23 and MC is in 9.18, 9.21-9.23 we may get part of this season's cliffhanger being 'angel centric' and as I said the show doesn't want any spoilers released yet. In a few weeks to a month, maybe.
I think Dean is becoming a knight of hell himself. Cain was a human when Lucifer gave the mark to him, I guess. The more Dean uses the blade, more close to become a knight he will be. I think that is the big surprise coming from this episode.
Well you think of it Cain wants Dean to kill him once he has the blade because he said that he will call and thats what he wants dean to do so does Dean become the new cain?

Stairway To Heaven is an awesome title. But what's up with 9x19?
ReplyDeleteStairway to Heaven *------*
ReplyDeletePor favor, não mudem, como fizeram como "Back In Black".

ReplyDeleteI don't like the 9.22 title. Maybe they will just open up Heaven at the end of episode or go there to fight Metatron but with the rumours....
ReplyDeleteProbably somewhere there was a copywrite issue with using it as a title that has only been resolved now.
ReplyDeleteThe hell at 9.19. But oh God, 9.21 and 9.22 sound awesome!
ReplyDeleteRumors you say? :o
ReplyDeleteLed Zeppelin!
ReplyDeleteWhat rumors?
ReplyDeleteZeppelin Rules!

ReplyDeleteKing of the Damned ?! ALPHA VAMP :D :D :D :D
ReplyDeleteI'm going more to demon Dean, and that scares me
ReplyDeletePer this Curtis Armstrong interview (~ 2 minutes + 'in')

he says "Metatron" will be 9.22/9.23 (besides 9.18 "Meta Fiction"

ReplyDeleteI think that about this time last year there's been already an announcement that Misha was promoted to regular so that's why people are concerned.

ReplyDeleteI knew the title of 9x19 sounded familiar. The only thing I can think of is the movie "Martha Marcy May Marlene".
ReplyDelete9x19 is called Meta Fiction.
ReplyDeleteI thought they had a great idea what to do with him this season - they just didn't use it.
ReplyDeleteFor me seasons 5 and 6 they never knew what to do with him.
Even season 8 they at least had a few ideas.
Cas is such a vital part of the show and Misha is such a wonderful actor. I'm not sure I would watch without him.
Wasn't he just mentioned in episode 14?
ReplyDeleteI keep thinking this season will be the end of Metatron but that Gadreel will carry over.
ReplyDeleteWell you think of it Cain wants Dean to kill him once he has the blade because he said that he will call and thats what he wants dean to do so does Dean become the new cain?
ReplyDeleteI hope so. I think Gadreel is redeemable, Metatron is not.
ReplyDeleteThat's 9x18.
