  1. Sam's going to start looking like a pin cushion at this rate.

  2. Good thing for him Cass has his powers back

  3. Dare we hope for some substantial Sam and Cas interaction? Pretty sure I already know the answer...

So the remaining grace WILL be removed.

  5. Lassie? With an awesome beard? Something to look forward to finally.

  6. The fight scene is what I'm looking forward to the most. That and the Crowley, Dean and Cain interaction.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Cas, what are you doing to Sam?

    ReplyDelete
  8. I can't wait for Dean and Cain scenes. Also, What are you doing to Sam, Castiel???

  9. Jared looks really really hot!

  10. removing the left over grace from him so he can use it to track down Gadreel himself thus ending Sam's arc for the season and the Winchesters role in the angel storyline.

  11. nobody cares, we all know Sam will be fine and there will be no after affects or any mention of it after this episode.

    ReplyDelete
  12. leaving the grace in him probably wouldn't be doing him any harm, taking it out was supposed to according to the synopsis cause Sam 'permanent damage' of some kind which was either bullshit or the writers decided to have the 'permanent damage' quick fixed by Cas. Either way other than to service Cas's storyline the whole thing on Sam's end has been a complete waste of time.

  13. Yes always comes in handy that where Sam is concerned just round about the right time.

    ReplyDelete
  14. cant be very much Jared was off for the majority of the filming of this episode not to mention the Sam/Cas interaction is basically Cas wanting something from Sam even with the possibility that it could damage Sam.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Sam and Cas don't get many canon interactions, but the ones they do get are impressively kinky.

    ReplyDelete
  16. looks that way, will there be a hint of any damage to Sam? Doubtful

    ReplyDelete
  17. If I recall Cas is always causing Sam pain

    ReplyDelete
  18. It's not ending - Carver said they'll be back in the angel story as the season goes along.

    ReplyDelete
  19. They said it might.

    ReplyDelete
  20. So I guess this is the fight scene that took 9 hours to film?

It's strange because I thought Cain would be a full participant, but he's sitting at a table.

I know Crowley and Abaddon are in this episode - I wonder where they are. Probably off together.

  21. WOW! This episode looks intense.
And Cain seems to be a great character.

  22. Cass' '''''story'''''' (if we can call that a story...) this year has been a total waste of time too. It could've been interesting to see him human, to learn how to fight maybe,he could've help with any research....but all he did was flipping burgers, singing to baby and having sex, AKA; fan service stuff. Now he has his power back just in time to heal the person in trouble.....what a coincidence.

    ReplyDelete
  23. IKR? He looks like he has zero effs to give in that picture! It's actually kind of amusing.

    ReplyDelete
  24. It probably wouldn't cause him any harm but they need it to track Gadreel. Which would be a moot point if they had that tablet Charlie programmed to TRACK THE ANGELS. I seriously wonder what the hell is going on with this writing staff. All of this unnecessary BS could have all been avoided if they just consulted previous scripts.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Why the hell does it look like they're using the dirtiest, rustiest needles on the face of the planet to extract the angel grace from Sam? Jeez, go down to the Walgreens and pick up some clean new syringes or something.

    ReplyDelete
  26. We don't know if it actually worked the tracking angel stuff (I do wish they would continu on that or just state it's not working) and even if it did, I don't think they would see points on a map with the name of the angel next to it.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Well that was my point. They just never brought it up again. We don't know how the thing actually worked. As for Castiel extracting the leftover grace and being able to track Gadreel goes, why would he need to if he has grace again? Can't angels sense other angels or did I miss something? I think it would have made for a far more interesting story if the lingering grace left inside of Sam worked as some sort of tether to Gadreel, making him able to sense where he is or something to that effect. This way they're doing it just seems very counterproductive to me and screams of "We had no idea what to do with Sam and Castiel in this episode so we just made something up to fit them in to the storyline" to me.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I haven't even seen him utter one line of dialogue and I already like him. Just the way he's sitting there without a care in the world is so freaking badass to me.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Direction of AWESOME "John Badham" I was SUPER anxious and now after these great
photographs don't miss this episode for nothing, NOTHING at all. *-*

    ReplyDelete
  30. Not sure how they're gonna use the grace, but I'm not sure angels know the exact position of all the angels in all time. They do seem able to sense or maybe more see each other's real face when they're face to face. Maybe they can do a spell to track him using some part of him, his grace in this case

    ReplyDelete
  31. He does! He should wear t-shirts more often :-)

    ReplyDelete
  32. Doing what? When have the Winchesters ever been important to the angel storylines post S5?

    ReplyDelete
  33. It was just BS. Sam is truly a plot point for the rest of the year it seems.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Good memory! I forgot about that. I must have blocked that episode from my memory! Hahaha :-)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Can't angels sense other angels or did I miss something?

I had the exact same question when I read that spoiler. I could have sworn that all angels could sense each other. Isn't that way Gadreel didn't want Cas around in the first place?

Plus, the idea of Sam having some "leftover grace" is just plain silly, IMO. Isn't Gadreel aware that some of his grace is still in Sam? And when they ejected Gadreel, why didn't he take all of his grace w/him?

    That's just silly to me.

I think it would have made for a far more interesting story if the lingering grace left inside of Sam worked as some sort of tether to Gadreel, making him able to sense where he is or something to that effect.

I think that would have been an infinitely more interesting story! Too bad you don't write for the show.

  36. Never. Frankly, I wish they'd end this crap. The angels were the worst thing ever introduced to this show. (Yes, I know I'm getting downvoted to hell, I don't care.)

    ReplyDelete
  37. Guess they have the same amount of interest in writing something good for Castiel as they do for Sam.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Not like they had much for Dean too. Except for the premiere, making the decision to letting Gadreel in and lying, keeping the secret. Doesn't really count as a big story either

    ReplyDelete
  39. Well, you got one "up" vote from me :-)

    ReplyDelete
  40. me too I am sick of the angel crap I lost my faith because of this show I do not know why but Damn they gave angels a bad name on this.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I think it's b/c they have the angels behaving just as badly as the demons. It's hard to tell them apart.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I think it could be something like that "open line" between an angel and their vessel that Castiel talked about way back when we first met Raphael. Dean and Castiel put a ring of holy fire around his vessel and then sent a message to Raphael. Maybe every time an angel leaves a vessel they leave a little trace behind... Metatron and Gadreel were also talking about looking at a previous vessel like it was uncomfortable or strange.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I am really not looking forward to this episode... I am tired of the Sam lite episodes!

    ReplyDelete
  44. I'm tired of all the Angel Arc stories, it's about time they get rid of all the Angels. Get Supernatural back the way it was, just the two brother fighting side by side. With the spin off they can let the Angels have that series, give Supernatural back to Dean and Sam Winchester. Crowley could stay with the show, just get rid of ALL THE ANGELS.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I'd say it counts as a story. It pretty much is about breaking down everything Dean had been trained to be all his life, showing him the damage it causes, and ideally, leading him to a more positive place. He had to make tons of choices and then watch them all blow up.

    ReplyDelete
  46. He didn't flip any burgers?

I don't think the episode where he worked in the gas station was "fan service." I thought it was one of the best Cas episodes of any season.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I think the angels had huge potential. Like a lot else on the show, they haven't done it as well as it could have been done.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I felt like that scene was mostly about showing Cas with a life he's never going to have, some sort of "human" life, and connecting to a vulnerable innocent.

This was one of the only episodes where Cas was able to breathe, to stop and see what life was like, just for a little while. I think the character needed it.

    ReplyDelete
  49. This season, last season, Season 7, Season 6. The Winchesters have not been important in any of the angel arcs since S5.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Dean and Sam have been a major part of the angel story the whole season. I think episode 3 and maybe 6 were the only angel episodes which didn't heavily involve them. An angel possessing Sam and Metatron being more involved with them directly was the big change.

    ReplyDelete
  51. How? How have they been important in this angel civil war?

Sam being possessed by an angel does not make the Winchesters an integral part of the primary angel story.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I kept saying if they'd followed the way angels were done in the Angel Sanctuary manga, they could've fit very well into the SPN-verse. That story even had a mysterious God no one had seen for millennia!
