  1. HIMYM for me today, it is my favorite show on air sitcom on air atm.

  2. Since Bob's Burgers or Raising Hope isn't an option I'll vote for The Big Bang Theory.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Community, although I did nominate both that and Parks and Rec in the nomination rounds

    ReplyDelete
  4. So hard to choose, but I voted for Community.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Oh well,no Raising Hope, so i guess nothing for me.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Community because its the only show that doesn't feel like the same sitcom I've seen a hundred times before

    ReplyDelete
  7. TBBT all the way

    ReplyDelete
  8. Well, I seem to be the only 2 Broke Girls fan here!
I mean, we all know the winner of this poll will be either TBBT or HIMYM...

    ReplyDelete
  9. No you're not, but I just love Community so much. If it hadn't been in the poll, I probably would have voted for 2 Broke Girls, especially since I just love Kat Dennings.

    ReplyDelete
  10. The Big Bang theory!

    ReplyDelete
  11. AFTER last thursdays ep I must say TBBT. PERFECTION!!!

    ReplyDelete
  12. By far and long, Community is my favorite! You get new laughs on every rewatch because there's always so much put into it, it is by far the smartest comedy!

Parks & Rec would be next. Ron Swanson is the man.

Seasons 1-5 of HIMYM would be 3rd, but recent years have kind of tarnished the legacy of the show, particularly this season.

  13. As much as I love TBBT and Community, I had to go HIMYM; in its 9th season the show seems improved sharply from last season and has gathered a lot of momentum.
New Girl was a viable option as well, but it still needs something to pass from pretty funny to memorable; maybe it will find that this season.

  15. Well I had no choice anyway because I just watch 2BG.. That was just either 2BG or 2BG... tough choice, right?
I would happily start Community but 5 seasons it's just too much for me to catch up :/ Same with HIMYM and TBBT

    ReplyDelete
  16. Same here. It was a tough choice, but I ultimately went with Community.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Community is SO worth it, though! HIMYM I understand - that's a LOT of seasons to catch up on. But Community's fourth season only has 13 episodes, so that cuts down your workload a bit. And it's fantastic :)

    ReplyDelete
  18. Then I may give the show a try next vacation!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Parks and Rec, then TBBT, then Community.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I voted The Big Bang Theory, although I have seen and like most of the shows on the list. I'm glad we can't view the results either, makes it more fun that way!

    ReplyDelete
  21. It would be nice if most polls were done this way, voted TBBT too

  22. Vasiliki Tsatsou6 January 2014 at 01:47

    TBBT always

    ReplyDelete
  23. Parks and Rec for me. Honorable mentions to Community, New Girl and Modern Family.

    ReplyDelete
  24. TBBT for me, I liked HIMYM untill season 9 started, I really dislike this season.

    ReplyDelete
  25. It was really hard choosing between Community and Parks and Recreation but in the end i had to go with Community.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I just read this with voice of the eprsons that announce the people on the Emmy`s lol..... Glad to see 2 Broke Girls there i voted for TBBT!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I hope you do! It takes a few episodes to hit its stride, but it's absolutely fantastic. My favorite comedy on television at the moment.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Parks and Recreation

    ReplyDelete
  29. I went with TBBT, but also love Community.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I also like 2 Broke Girls, but I like TBBT, Community and HIMYM better

    ReplyDelete
  31. Voted HIMYM
but if The Big Bang Theory wins I wont be shocked, or disappointed.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Wow, it seems like I'm the only one who votet for New Girl?! I love this show, but I think the winner of this poll will be either TBBT or HIMYM...

    ReplyDelete
  33. The Big Bang Theory <3

    ReplyDelete
  34. There's a handful of shows I watch on this list but I seem to be dissatisfied with all of them right now. In the end, I chose Community.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Community.
Big Bang Theory is a terrible, overhyped show that gets far too many awards that other shows deserve more.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Wonder if Babar did it this way because of the Favorite Episode poll? I really like it so regardless of why it was done, I vote that all polls are done this way. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  37. Season 3 of New Girl has been uneven so far but it's the one I'm most invested in, so I voted for it.

    ReplyDelete
  38. My favorite is The Goldbergs, but of this list TBBT and Community for me.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Yeah, it makes things a lot less aggressive, I agree more polls should be done like this!

    ReplyDelete
  40. hmm. A couple I'd like to vote for but BBT got my vote. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  41. I don't think I can chose between Community and TBBT either. Honorable mentions to New Girl, Modern Family and How I Met Your Mother. I am surprised 2 Broke Girls made it, I always got the feeling it wasn't popular on this website. Sad to see Suburgatory missing.

    ReplyDelete
  42. That's your own opinion, I for one adore TBBT. Besides, the show is far from being the awards magnet that you claim it is.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Jenn_FiveDollarShake7 January 2014 at 17:07

    2 Broke Girls !

    ReplyDelete
  44. I still think Modern Family has the best writing, but it wins so many things all the time that I would be totally fine with some other show taking first place.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Really? I mean, apart from Jim Parsons' stuff, what have they ever won? (this is an honest, non-sarcastic question. I just don't remember they ever winning anything big)

    ReplyDelete
  46. Yes, it is my opinion. We just have different taste in comedy shows.
You have a point on awards, I was remembering Jim Parson's awards and nominations rather than straight wins.

    ReplyDelete
  47. The Big Bang, started watching it late, now I love it!!!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Oh My God, I know i'm late to the game, but I just started watching Community this week. I normally don't watch sitcoms (have only enjoyed 3 in my life, Seinfeld, Friends, TBBT), but the 4th has been found. What a hilarious show. Thank You to all the commenters on SpoilerTV. If it was not for some of your praises of the show, I never would have given it a chance. SOOOO glad I did.

    ReplyDelete
  49. As I posted above, (I know and recognize you from other sites) thank you for your comments about Community. Your one of the few posters I regularly read, and since it seems we have similar taste in TV, I decided to give Community a chance. I am so much the better for that. You rock man.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Had to go with TBBT, with New Girl right behind it.

    ReplyDelete
  51. How late?? like you just started season 1??

    ReplyDelete
  52. Oh, you're very welcome! It's a huge pleasure for me to be able to contribute to the experience that is someone watching Community! I am glad you like it so much! In which season are you currently on? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  53. The Big Bang Theory.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Currently 5 episodes into season 2. should be totally caught up by the end of the weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  55. wow, you will watch 2x06 - epidemiology later. That's probably my favorite episode of the entire series, I've rewatched it so many times lol. I am kind of jealous of you that you will get to watch it for the first time, I was blown away the first time I did ahah

    ReplyDelete
  56. awesome, can't wait then. Gonna save it until tonight when I can sit back with a beer and relax and truly enjoy it. Not much on TV for me tonight since I gave up on Revolution a few episodes ago. Think i'll just blow through the rest of season 2 tonight in an up till 4am marathon :)

    ReplyDelete
  57. Ahah nice plan! May I ask, why did you give up on Revolution? I am asking because I thought the show was simply passable last year and it turned into one of my absolute favorites this year. Do you dislike Season 2?

    ReplyDelete
  58. For me, it's hard to say. I also thought season 1 was just barely passable, but I did a marathon watch one weekend which was probably the only reason I finished the season. For season 2, while it is an upturn in quality, there is just something off about it I can't quite put my finger on. One reason may be that I tend to like more "Hard Sci-Fi" shows, that at least have plausible science behind them, and Revolution has, for me, strayed into complete fantasy while providing explanations for events that are complete nonsense.

But in the end, I think I will end up watching the rest of the season. I DVR each episode, so I'll probably do a marathon watch one weekend in the near future. Other than that, like I said I just can't quite put my finger on what's wrong with it for me.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I think you really should continue to watch then. Personally, I would prefer if Revolution would stay less sci-fi heavy because I feel their world is already rich enough to explore without it but the new direction of the show doesn't agree with me. Seriously, if that's what you enjoy in the show you should go for it because the last 3/4 episodes before the hiatus will really please you.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Well, nicely put. From reading a lot of your other posts, I think we do have similar taste in shows, so I will take your word for it and give it another chance this weekend after I finish Community. Hopefully I'll be pleased enough to add it back to my Wednesday viewing roster.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I certainly hope so ;) Let me know how that goes! By the way, any show you recommend me from your side, since we do seem to agree so much on shows?

    ReplyDelete
  62. Well let's see. To make this easy since I can't know for certain what you have and haven't seen, I'll just list all of my favorite shows. This will show how close we line up :) Any on the list you haven't seen yet would be definite recommendations. Here we go...

TBBT, OUAT, Revenge, Scandal, Continuum, Orphan Black, Justified, The Americans, Sleepy Hollow, The Newsroom, The Blacklist, Arrow, Castle, TTP, POI, Nashville, GoT, Bones, House of Cards, Supernatural.

I'm sure there are a few I'm forgetting. Anything on the list you haven't seen?

    ReplyDelete
  63. OMG. Just watched Community S02E06!!!! That may be the funniest episode of a sitcom I have ever seen!!! LMAO. Watching it again right away.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Glad to hear that you love it. I absolutely adore that episode!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Eheh I watch mots of those! The ones I don't watch are:
    - Continuum (never tried)
    - Justified (never tried either)
    - Nashville: I've watched the first 2 episodes and I couldn't get into it, found it really boring
    - House of Cards: I've watched half of the first season and didn't like it. I can appreciate how well it's done but it requires way too much attention for my taste. I was always loosing track of who everyone was etc. Maybe it caught me on a bad day because all my friends love it but I just couldn't get into it.

How is Continuum? Not that I don't have a huge waiting list already, particularly Supernatural. I've finished marathoning the first two seasons during Christmas break and I plan on going for the rest once there is another break (maybe not before May I think)

    ReplyDelete
  66. Continuum is well worth your time. The first couple of episodes of season 1 are a little slow (but alot of that is just setup) but after that I find it a tour de force. One of the best aspects of the show is that its really hard to tell who the good guys are and who the bad guys are, one of those, "bad things for the right reasons" kind of situations.

But if you like sci-fi at all, I highly recommend it. Probably my favorite sci-fi show of last 10 years.

If you do get around to it someday, let me know what you think.

Some Peoples Choice and Critics choice awards for Best comedy. But yes, most awards they have won have been by Jim Parsons, and I mixed in my memories of substantial nominations.
