A weekly feature highlighting the best quotes on TV this past week.

Almost Human: 'The Bends'; 2nd December; Karl Urban, Michael Ealy

Madison: "Are you deaf? I'm the next Supreme. I brought myself back."

Arrow: 'The Scientist'; 4th December; Summer Glau, Susanna Thompson/David Ramsey
A Dahne:
Isabel: "Oliver threw you a lovely party." Moira: "Oliver's a good son. If not the best judge of character." Oh snap. Moira just went there and I love her for it. No one beats Susanna Thompson in acting on this show, although Willa comes close.

Diggle: "Super strength, likes blood. Please don't tell me we suddenly believe in vampires." Ha! Diggle made me laugh here.

Elementary: 'Tremors'; 6th November; Jonny Lee Miller
Jimmy Ryan:
Sherlock: "So... some degree of criminality is acceptable, the rest is just negotiating boundaries?"

Homeland: 'Good, Night'; 1t December; Claire Danes
DarkUFO:
Carrie: "Here at the Agency we call that recruiting."

Sharon Seymour: Carrie: "He made it. And you, Saul, are still in the game."

Lost Girl: 'Turn to Stone'; 1st December; Kris Holden-Ried
Nana Lobo:
Dyson: "Once upon a time,we never found the right time. The end."

Once Upon a Time In Wonderland: 'Bad Blood'; 5th November; Michael Socha, Shaun Smyth/Sophie Lowe
A Dahne:
Since there was a decided lack of Red Queen this episode, snark duties were handed off to Will, who behaved marvellously in it.
Knave: "So tell me Edward, have you ever eaten something that's tried to kill you before?" Edward: "No well, I don't believe I have." Knave: "It's sort of a Wonderland rite of passage." BWAH! Funniest line of the week.

Alice: "What's that chirping?" Knave: "I'm no wildlife expert but my rough guess is a bird." Ha again!

Scandal: 'YOLO'; 5th December; Katie Lowes, George Newbern
Virginia Fontana:
Quinn: "Huck was the only person I had. And he hurt me. He hurt me. He hurt me. And now I don't have anybody. He hurt me." Charlie: "You have me."

The Blacklist: 'Anslo Garrick (2)'; 2nd November; Megan Boone, James Spader
Diana Mack:
Reddington: "What is the question Lizzy?" Elizabeth: "Are you my father?" Reddington: (after hesitation) "No. Be careful with your husband."

The Mentalist: 'My Blue Heaven'; 1st December; Simon Baker
Diana Mack: Jane:
"I’ve been meaning to apologize for leaving you on the beach that night. You being absent is the one thing that made this new chapter strange and sad. Miss you."

The Originals: 'Reigning Pain in New Orleans'; 3rd December; Joseph Morgan, Phoebe Tonkin/Charles Michael Davis
Virginia Fontana:
Klaus: "I understand that some of you are concerned by this vicious rumor that I intend to use the blood of our child to create hybrids. I assure you, I do not." Hayley: "Father of the Year."

Marcel: "Don't see you care about much. It's kind of hard not to notice when you do."

The Walking Dead: 'Too Far Gone'; 1st December; Andrew Lincoln/David Morrissey
DarkUFO:
Rick: "Don't look back, Carl. Just keep walking."

Rick: "We let go of all of it, and nobody dies. Everyone who's alive right now. Everyone who's made it this far. We've all done the worst kinds of things just to stay alive. But we can still come back. We're not too far gone. We get to come back. I know... we all can change."

Sharon Seymour: The Governor: "Michonne, I want you to know... Penny, my daughter, she was dead. I know that know. Now, I don't want to hurt you. I don't want to hurt anyone. I need the prison, that's it. There are people I need to keep alive. You two are gonna help me take it. No one needs to die."

White Collar: 'Quantico Closure'; 5th December; Willie Garson/Tim DeKay, Matt Bomer
A Dahne:
Best dialogue this week hands down.
Mozzie: "You, business, and women - the unholy trinity." I love how true the statement is and the delivery was perfect.

Peter: "Dec. 7th." Neal: "Pearl Harbor Day?" Peter: "Another day that will live in infamy - first time I arrested you." Neal: "And four years later, we did it all over again, but this time you gave me jewelry." Ah the anklet. I'm not sure who is more looking forward to it coming off...Neal or me. Like the Peter and Neal conversations in this episode.

  1. Elementary: Sherlock:"The danger with rulebooks, Watson, is that they offer the illusion that leading a moral life is a simple undertaking. That the world exists in black and white. Welcome to the grays."

  2. I'll concur with Rick's speech being the best quote. It made Hershel smile.

  3. Hershel (The Walking Dead): ''Governor...'' I don't know why, but I like that Hershel was decent enough to still call him that. Rick's speech was pretty great too! It's been a while since the show has done a really emotional scene, but that was one.

And from Masters Of Sex, Margaret talking with that woman at the bar about her husband...
''He's queer.'' ''It's very queer, yes. Thank you.'' ''No, sweetheart. He's a homosexual. Your husband likes boys.'' And they just start laughing because it's so ridiculous, and then the next scene shows Margaret crying on her bed and it's just all so very tragically sad. Great show.

  4. SO MANY fun quotes this week!

The Originals was excellent. The quotes mentioned above and..
    1) Elijah: You don't make it easy to love you, brother.
Klaus: And yet you are obstinate in your desire to do so
    2) Rebekah: Come on, Elijah. You've fallen for her. Admit it. It may do wonders for the stick that's lodged up your endearingly stoic ass if you did
    3) Hayley: And let's not forget Josh, newbie vampire way out of his element voted most likely to die next
    4) Klaus: And for the record the level of awkwardness we're all currently experiencing is entirely genuine
    5) Cami: Don't worry. He's compelled me to forget everything as soon as I leave. That way I'm too busy agonizing over whether or not I'm losing my damn mind to realize I'm playing spy for an immortal egomaniac

    Scandal:
    1) Abby: Normal boyfriends do favors for their girlfriends.
David: Normal girlfriends don't dabble in aiding and abetting
    2) Mellie: t hurts until it doesn't. You think it's going to break you, but it won't. You may not sleep as well at night, but you will be fine. Numb, but numb and fine are the same

    TVD:
    1) Damon: Listen, how I got this amazing body has nothing to do with science
    2) Katherine: That's why I need you not to get mad at me. Because when you get mad, you get anxious and violent and you rip people's head's off. But I'm gonna help you fix that

    Elementary..what's mentioned above and
1)Sherlock: That’s the beauty of the internet. 24-7 hours access from everything to twerking kittens to criminal records

    The Big Bang Theory:
    1) Penny: Bark once if you need me to call PETA
    2) Raj: There's also a time to stop eating too many jelly beans. And it's when you're ten
    3) Bernadette: We were totally fine half-assing our marriage till you showed up

    OUAT:
    1) Regina: I did cast a curse that devastated an entire population. I have tortured and murdered. I've done some terrible things. I should be overflowing with regret but I'm not. Because it got me my son
    2) Well it looks like getting rid of a baby just made my to-do list

Also loved with the White Collar and Homeland quotes.

  9. haha The Almost Human quote was funny. I also liked a couple of the more serious quotes - John saying in the car he would believe in his friend until proven otherwise, and Dorian calling John his friend.

I really liked Rick's quote to the people with the Governor. Wish I'd wrote it down. The other quotes were great too.

I also liked the Elementary, Wonderland, Originals, and The Mentalist quotes.

  10. Rick: I have sick people here

  11. The best bit of dialogue in White Collar this week came when Mozzie and Elizabeth were discussing trust, and Mozzie said that people can almost never be trusted. Elizabeth pointed out that Mozzie trusts Neal, to which Mozzie replied that Neal is the reason that he prefaced the word NEVER with "almost."

  12. That was a great scene. I always like when Mozzie and El are working together.

  13. Supernatural: Castiel: Cas is back in town!Dean: Seriously did you just... did he just say that?

and : Sam: They were a born-again biker gang.
Dean: Well that is not something you hear everyday!
    Sam: No it is not.

  14. For The Walking Dead, I believe that this one quote sums up the entire show (the premise of surviving the zombie apocalypse):

"Don't look back, Carl. Just keep walking."
