Well I guess I'm the only one who likes the concept, pointing out the old American (but also really ancient) delema of HUMANITY and our political aspirations, fighting for (or protecting to serve) liberty, justice, in the name of God....and how problematic that really is.
It reminds me of Observers appearing through out history.
It does nothing for me. I do not enjoy the execution or the premise. I find it straddles the line between humorous and insightfu, lbut does not really hit on either level.
Just blah.
Compare it to the Arrested Development poster from years ago. It was great.
I like the concept, but it has a bit photo shopped feel to it. They are leading a 'revolution' of sorts, with the machine being an AI and now being independent.
I agree that quality's not great, but I know sometimes they just throw something together for comic-con. So with the exception of new shows/movies. I don't have high expectations to see polished promotional art. Now if this would be the DVD-art, I probably would be like everyone else and having more of a fit! XD
It's weird we haven't seen much, just some bags and propaganda-like posters, but nothing in terms of cast-related promotional art! -Their panel is Saturday at 4:50 (PST) -The have and exclusive video presentation! (I'm hoping we get some info about all of these new characters!)
Yep, it might have worked, but it is so bad now, that I find it difficult to imagine it being good :) Besides, Sarah Shahi looks like Kim Kardashian and that is NEVER a good thing.
Yeah, every year there are little promotional tote like bags. SpoilerTV did post this years, including Revolution's! I have been meaning to by a Fringe one for years off Ebay, but never got around to it!
Meh... What the hell? It's no where near as good as the ones from the previous seasons. The only good thing about it is the fact that now Sarah Shahi's Shaw appears with the rest of Team Machine and Bear. Other then that, I'm really disappointed with it.
Ok...wasn't expecting that when I clicked on the link. I do get it, but it took a little getting used to. I kind of like it, but given the fact that POI is a very modern show, it doesn't really make much sense. It also looks a little photoshopped. Oh, and Sarah Shahi looks like Kim Kardashian, and I should NEVER have to put that name in the same sentence with anything POI related. Like others have said, good idea, poor execution. I like the slogan at the bottom though. One Nation Under Watch is good.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I was really hoping to like it but I don't. Kinda has a Pawnee vibe to me and looks fan made.
ReplyDeletethat's a terrible poster
ReplyDeleteWow,i wasn't expecting this....it doesn't look official, doesn't even come close to the last two that were done..
ReplyDeleteGlad it's not only me that thinks this is awful. The show deserves better.
ReplyDeleteYou have everything modern to choose from and yet you go with a (god knows when) century style poster??? WTF??
ReplyDelete!?????

Love it, thanks.
ReplyDeleteSee,if there were Observers in it i would have gotten it. :P
ReplyDeleteThere has to be something to this being left brain or using the right side of ones brain...
I think it would have looked great if that actually had someone paint it instead of just slapping it together digitally.
ReplyDeleteI like the concept. It's just poor execution. The only way for it to look good is if someone actually painted it.
ReplyDeleteBlah.

ReplyDeleteThey're all 'team machine' (liberty), who has now been liberated from his oppressors (the government). A revolution of sorts. :)

ReplyDeleteMaybe it would have worked better for "Revolution"?! :p
ReplyDeleteLOL! I think Bad Robot should just unleash the Observers in all future works from here on out!
ReplyDeleteHaha, yeah, true! Speaking of which, where are the posters for Revolution?! Weren't they going to Comic Con as well?? I only saw those silly bags.

ReplyDeleteWhat the heck is that? Is the idea of a Comic-Con poster to out-weird all others? Very few of these work for me and this one definitely doesn't.
ReplyDeleteYep, it might have worked, but it is so bad now, that I find it difficult to imagine it being good :) Besides, Sarah Shahi looks like Kim Kardashian and that is NEVER a good thing.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I like it either. Still the best show though.
ReplyDeleteYes,yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBags?
ReplyDeleteYeah, every year there are little promotional tote like bags. SpoilerTV did post this years, including Revolution's! I have been meaning to by a Fringe one for years off Ebay, but never got around to it!

Would love that! Perhaps even a short teaser/trailer? :)
ReplyDeleteWow, I have seen some bad posters, but this might be the winner. ;) And I love this show.
ReplyDeleteYeah! I'm assuming that is what some of the video footage will be, because I know they started filming already!!!
ReplyDeleteYou know what would have made this poster a winner? -If someone held up there hand and it read, "Not Penny's Boat"
ReplyDeleteOr.....
Sorry didn't load right

ReplyDeleteIs that CGI'd? Good concept, poor execution.
ReplyDeleteYeah those two are at 2 very opposite ends of the entertainment spectrum.

ReplyDeleteFingers crossed then! :)
ReplyDeleteThese bags aren't bad,but yeah we need more! Nah,i'm not greedy,ha!!!!
