Lead Actor & Actress in a Drama Series
Supporting Actor: Other- Tony Goldwyn (Scandal)
ReplyDeletemy comment seems to have disapeared but i wanted to add on to it anyways
ReplyDeleteSupporting Actor Other- Tony Goldwyn and Guillermo Diaz of Scandal
Before anyone complains: There are about 200 people eligible in these categories so it wasn't easy cutting them down to 15.
ReplyDeleteJohn Nobel and Regina King.
ReplyDeleteNo complaints here!
ReplyDeleteTony Goldwyn, Scandal
ReplyDeleteI think that's a good list. And the "other" function is always an option too :)
ReplyDeleteNoah Emmerich and Annet Mahendru from "The Americans"!
ReplyDeleteI know she had very little time on screen this season but I think Michelle Fairley stole every scene she was in as Catelyn Stark. And her performance in the Red Wedding... superb! So my vote goes for her :D
ReplyDeleteSupporting actor: Aaron Paul, Peter Dinklage and Mads Mikkelsen. Other would be Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (For Game of Thrones)
ReplyDeleteSupporting actress: Emilia Clarke, Lena Headey or Michelle Fairley (all were awesome in Game of Thrones).
My votes go to:
ReplyDeleteNestor Carbonell (Bates Motel)
Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad)
John Noble (Fringe)
Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones)
Jennifer Carpenter (Dexter)
I'm little bit suprised because I thought of Hannibal as main character, so in my books Mads was lead, not supporting actor. I choose him, Peter Dinklage and David Morrisey. Nestor Carbonell was the only actor I liked in BM, but he's not the same level as these three.
ReplyDeleteIt's a very good list! You got all the ones I was thinking of. Aaron Paul, John Noble, Christopher Heyerdahl (the best thing about HOW!), Mads Mikkelsen, Peter Dinklage and Noah Emmerich. I think that they will nominate Jonathan Banks over John Noble though. I love POI and Michael Emerson, but with that list there's just no Emmy winning performance from him this year.
ReplyDeleteI'm not as familiar with all the female actresses, but I would have Anna Gunn, Sarah Wayne Callies, Jennifer Carpenter and Michelle Fairley on my list.
Supporting Actor: This is by far the hardest category. I would nominate: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Noah Emmerich, Michael Cudlitz, John Noble, Aaron Paul and Walton Goggins
ReplyDeleteJonathan Banks and Mads Mikkelsen and a load more GOT actors would also be included if I could!
Supporting Actress: Morena Baccarin, Anna Gunn, Regina King, Annet Mahendru, Emilia Clarke and Joelle Carter
They would be MAD not to give it to Mads.
ReplyDeleteKeep voting for Monica Potter for an emmy. She Deserves it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNorman Reedus-The Walking dead
ReplyDeleteOther: Nikolaj Cster walau
ReplyDeleteand Michelle fairley
It is very very difficult to choose only one supporting actor. Being danish I would love to see Mads win. He is absolutely brilliant as Hannibal Lector. I had my doubts that anybody could pull it off, but he did it with grace.
ReplyDeleteBUT I always wanted to see Walter Goggins win. Aaron Paul and Peter Dinklage deserves it aswell. So unfair that 4 people can´t win the prize.
Actress: Anna Gun and all the brilliant actresses in Game of Thrones.
Yes, Nikolaj deserves a nomination at least. :-)
ReplyDeleteA lot of good actors to pick from, but my favorite performances all came from actors who I suspect will probably not get nominated.
ReplyDeleteBest Male supporting actor: Jeff Perry (Cyrus/Scandal), Gabriel Mann (Nolan/Revenge) and Zach Grenier (David Lee/The Good Wife)
Best Female supporting actress: Bellamy Young (Scandal).
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones) for supporting actor and Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) for supporting actress.
ReplyDeleteJack Gleeson for best supporting actor. if only...
ReplyDeleteThey really deserve the nomination!
ReplyDeleteBob Odenkirk as Saul Goodman on Breaking Bad?!
ReplyDeleteI think Anna Gunn and Jennifer Carpenter need to finally get some recognition and awards, Emilia Clarke isn't even that great. She's good, but it's the character that's making us love her so much, not the actress herself though I don't have anything against her.
ReplyDeleteI actually didn't like the male support nominees except for Aaron but he also hasn't been anything special in acting lately.
ReplyDeleteI agree about Anna Gunn and Annet Mahendru though. Morena Baccarin is also okay.
My picks
ReplyDeleteBest Supporting Actor:
- Josh Charles (The Good Wife)
- Mandy Patinkin (Homeland)
- Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones)
- Tony Goldwin (Scandal)
- John Noble (Fringe)
- Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones)
Best Supporting Actress:
- Lana Parilla (Once Upon a Time)
- Christin Baranski (The Good Wife)
- Morena Bacarin (Homeland)
- Michelle Fairly (Game of Thrones)
- Jennifer Carpenter (Dexter)
- Bellamy Young (Scandal)
Yesss on Jennifer Carpenter. As for GoT, I would nominate Michelle Fairly before nominating Emilia Clarke
ReplyDeleteTatiana is lead, not supporting
ReplyDeleteI think Zack Grenier would qualify as guest, not supporting
ReplyDeleteHell yeah on Tony Goldwyn. Strongly disagree on Guillermo Diaz. I know this is not a popular opinion but IMO he is by far the weakest part of Scandal, I find his acting as serial killer really poor, especially when compared to the likes of Michael C. Hall and James Purefoy among others, he is just very meh and as a result the character is unbelievable to me. I love Scandal, it is one of my favorite shows ever, but this is my view on the character/ actor.
ReplyDeleteJeff perry
ReplyDeleteBig yes for Tony Goldwyn. I originally selected him under the best actor category, but it sounds like he falls under supporting actor. I thought I was the only one who wasn't particularly impressed with Guillermo Diaz. I don't mind him, but I don't get the appeal, especially when compared with all the other terrific actors on the show. I completely forgot about James Purefoy! I couldn't stomach The Following for more than two episodes but he definitely deserves a nomination. He kills every role he's in.
ReplyDeleteZack Grenier always seems to be in that grey zone where he's on too regularly to be a guest and not enough to be a supporting actor. I guess I still don't understand what qualifies as a guest.
ReplyDeleteGame of Thrones just needs its own Emmy awards show. Many of the cast would be sure things for at least nominations if they weren't on such a crowded ensemble of quality acting.
ReplyDeleteOutstanding Supporting Actor:
Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) - Winner
Robert Carlyle (Once Upon a TIme)
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones)
Alan Cumming (The Good Wife)
John Noble (Fringe)
Jeff Perry (Scandal)
Outstanding Supporting Actress:
Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) - Winner
Morena Baccarin (Homeland)
Christine Baranski (The Good Wife)
Natalie Dormer (Game of Thrones)
Lana Parilla (Once Upon a Time)
Bellamy Young (Scandal)
Special shout-outs to Misha Collins (Supernatural), Claire Holt (The Vampire Diaries), and Emily Bett Rickards (Arrow), who sadly aren't even on the guest performer ballots

How about for for actor, Charles Dance and for actress Michelle Fairley. They have done a great job this season in Game of Thrones.
ReplyDeleteI think it depends on how they are billed. A formality. For instance, John Lightow appeared in all episodes of Dexter's season 4 but won Guest Actor.
ReplyDeleteOutstanding Supporting Actress:
ReplyDeleteEmilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) - Winner
Morena Baccarin (Homeland)
Christine Baranski (The Good Wife)
Natalie Dormer (Game of Thrones)
Lana Parilla (Once Upon a Time)
Bellamy Young (Scandal)
Once again, I don't watch any of these shows.
ReplyDeleteA lot of good choices here, but my votes went to Breaking Bad's Jonathan Banks and Anna Gunn. Tough choice between Banks and Aaron Paul
ReplyDeleteAll I'm saying - Jennifer Carpenter better win!
ReplyDeleteWalton Goggins.
ReplyDeleteMale: OTHER. Give it directly to Nikolaj NOW....
ReplyDeleteNo strong feelings on the female options. It was good list.
Best supporting actor: Jeff Perry(Scandal)
ReplyDeleteTatiana Maslany (Orphan Black)
ReplyDeleteLauren German (chicago fire) steals every scene
ReplyDeleteI Only have to vote for one, and that one is Jennifer Carpenter
ReplyDeleteShe did it AMAZING On season 7! She needs a recognition and an award!
how come Michael C Hall is not in it?
ReplyDeleteMichael C Hall is not a supporting actor, is a lead actor
ReplyDeleteSupporting Actor: Tony Goldwyn and Guillermo Diaz (Scandal)
ReplyDeleteActress: Katie Sagal (Sons of Anarchy)
Walton Goggins--Justified
ReplyDeleteJennifer Carpenter and Peter Dinklage...
ReplyDeleteJennifer must be one of the best actresses I've ever seen. Whoever watched Sunday's episode of "Dexter" knows what I'm talking about...
Yayyyyyyyyyyyyy, for Mads Mikkelsen, he is AWESOME. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy.
ReplyDeleteHe does.
ReplyDeleteKatey Sagal - Sons of Anarchy and she should win too!
ReplyDeleteSupporting Actor: John Noble (Fringe)
ReplyDeleteSupporting Actress: Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones)
