King John - Passed Over by ABC
9 May 2013
Pilot ShowsDeadline is reporting that ABC has decided not to order King John to series.
King John (PKA Untitled John Leguizamo Comedy) is based on the actor-comedian’s life as a husband, father and fish out of water on the Upper West Side of New York. Woven into this world are his privileged wife, his friends from his life back in the Bronx, his mother and grandfather who try to keep him grounded in his Latin roots, and his own kids who he worries are getting spoiled and losing touch with reality.
I've never found John Leguizamo to be appealing as a comedic actor at all. I'm sure most anyone who remembers House of Buggin' would agree with me.
ReplyDeleteIt sounded awful.
ReplyDeleteI guess this means Malibue will be renewed
Nothing against the show but... Go Malibu Country, I feel like this was its biggest opponent!
ReplyDeleteYeah, didn't see this going anywhere to be honest. There has been a lot of series about mixed families, but none of them are daring enough. Can you imagine a setting like this but with an Arrested Development sensibility? It would be edgy and hilarious.
