Supernatural's beloved Bobby Singer died last Friday, thanks to a bullet in the brain from a shape-shifting Leviathan. Veteran actor Jim Beaver, who played the crotchety mentor to demon hunting brothers Sam and Dean Winchester on The CW series, talked to TV Guide Magazine about Bobby's shocking demise, his last days on the set and his upcoming role on Justified.

Still want Ghost!Bobby to come back.
ReplyDeleteHopefully they won't kill him off in Justified.
ReplyDeleteCould be ghost bobby
ReplyDeleteThanks for the interview...I love the fact that he got told way before and the lovely send off from the cast and crew sounded really touching
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see Bobby again! I'll take even a ghost;)
ReplyDeleteBeing in denial about the death of a fictional character can't be healthy..
ReplyDeleteThank God we already know that we'll see him again.
Thanks! It's so reassuring to see he's coming back in some form, even though we knew deep down he wouldn't be gone for good :)
ReplyDelete"If you weren't on The CW, you'd win an Emmy"
ReplyDeleteThis sentence is so sadly true. The stars and lots of guest stars on this show are way better than a lot of Emmy nominees, but don't get jack squat just 'cause it's on the CW. Until those Emmy guys pay some attention (If they ever will), I guess we'll have to settle for PCAs...
A really nice interview.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to hear how friendly the Supernatural set/troupe/actors are.
Everyone seems to enjoy working there and Jared and Jensen seem to get on with guest stars of all ages from young Colin Ford to Mark Sheppard to Jim Beaver to Charisma Carpenter etc.
You never hear of anyone complaining after having worked there.
I don't think we have seen the very end of Bobby, although I wouldn't want him openly resurrected, but as a ghost or spirit, I wouldn't mind.
hard to understand all the: "I'm not watching the show anymore." in a show like SPN. If you want to see your character come back, you have to stick around to A) See it, and to B) Keep the show alive and see him come back.
ReplyDeleteIf you love a character and decide you'll ''''put pressure''''' on the writers by not watching 'til they bring your character back, guess what...the show will get cancell and you'll have no chances to see him/her again, If it was Grey or whatever where you see someone get kill, ok, its a real goodbye, but its SPN
I can't wait to see Jim come back to Justified.
ReplyDeleteHow sad that nothing is ever for award consideration on the CW. There is some really good things happening there -at least on the show I watch. Still it is awesome to hear once again how the Supernatural cast and crew are like family and how they show how much they appreciate people. From the cake for a 16th birthday to a video tribute to a beloved character, it seems that SPN people know what's important and want to share it with each other.
ReplyDeleteHope he's back on SPN soon. Can't wait for Justified!
ReplyDeleteI want Ghost!Bobby so badly!!! Please at least something?!
ReplyDeleteKind of makes me wonder how they make it the rest of this season plus (most likely) next season without their usual help. They did it pretty much the first two years but I wonder how it would work now.
