The Office - Jenna Fischer's pregnancy being written in

14 Jul 2011

Jenna Fischer confirmed to Vulture that her real-life pregnancy has been written into season eight of The Office. “Pam will be pregnant when the season starts,” she told us in an interview. “Pam and Jim snuck away last season on Valentine’s Day, and they had sex. The story is that they conceived this baby at that time and were keeping it a secret until we come back from the summer.”

  1. Yes! I'm glad we got an answer. And yay, I was rooting for a Valentine's Day baby!

  5. The Office has become one of those shows that I watch more out of habit than anything else.  To that end, all of the subplot minutia and most castings for this show are all something I routinely gloss over.  Yawn.

The last thing that really excited me about The Office was the potential casting of Catherine Tate but the show didn't seal the deal.

  6. Catherine Tate was horrible on the final. She was a bore and James Spader outshined her in every way. Nobody has really heard of this woman anyway. Sorry, but they didn't hire her because she had no connection with the characters nor the audience.

  7. The entire finale was terrible in every possible respect, but that's not the point of my post.  Did you really just post a reply basically telling me that what interests me about a show is wrong?  How does that work exactly?

  8. I agree and Catherine Tate would have been awesome. It still has funny moments but it isn't something I feel I have to watch anymore.

  9. Actually, that's not why they didn't hire her. They really wanted to cast her as the new boss, but it didn't end up working out.
