Mistresses & Uncle Buck Premiere Dates Revealed; Secrets & Lies Held for Fall

As for scripted series, season four of Mistresses will move back its former Monday night berth at 10 p.m. beginning May 30. Freshman comedy Uncle Buck, a modern-day remake of the beloved John Candy movie led by Mike Epps, is set for a Tuesday, June 14 debut at 9 p.m., where it will be squeezed between two episodes of To Tell the Truth. Although ABC will debut new series Uncle Buck this summer, the network has decided to hold another scripted series, season two of anthology drama Secrets and Lies, for fall.

While last season saw ABC pushed further into scripted programming with shows like the since-canceled The Whispers, and the limited series Astronaut Wives Club, the network appears to have refocused its summer strategy on unscripted properties.
