Sons Of Anarchy alum LaMonica Garrett has joined the cast of ABC’s straight-to-series conspiracy drama Designated Survivor, starring Keifer Sutherland. Written by David Guggenheim and executive produced by Simon Kingberg for the Mark Gordon Company, the story centers on a lower level U.S. Cabinet member Tom Kirkman (Sutherland) who is suddenly appointed President of the United States after a catastrophic attack during the State of the Union kills everyone above him in the Presidential line of succession.
Garrett will play Ritter, Tom Kirkman’s Secret Service officer, charged with protecting the Kirkman family in the wake of the unprecedented bombing of the Capital during the President’s State of the Union Address. Garrett’s other credits include recurring roles on The Last Ship, Mr. Robinson, Save Me, The Game, Mike & Molly and NCIS.
