    Evan Jonigkeit (Bone Tomahawk) has landed a role in Netflix’s Frontier, a Canadian action-adventure series starring Jason Momoa. It follows the chaotic and violent struggle to control wealth and power in the North American fur trade in the late 18th century.

    Told from multiple perspectives, the series takes place in a world where business negotiations might be resolved with close-quarter hatchet fights and where delicate relations between native tribes and Europeans can spark bloody conflicts. Jonigkeit plays Captain Chesterfield, the right hand to Alun Armstrong (Lord Benton) and the nemesis of Declan Harp (Mamoa). He is a vicious man who lives by a code. From humble beginnings he has become politically motivated in this new and unpredictable world. Repped b y UTA and Schreck Rose, Jonigkeit’s recent credits include TV’s Girls and The Good Wife. He next appears in the features Tallulah, Brave New Jersey and Fun House.

    “The Convention” – Dr. Goodwin (Jack McBrayer) informs Frankie that she must attend a convention on an all-expense paid trip to Des Moines as part of the dentist office’s transition to being part of the Smile Superstars International team, headlined by the company’s inspiring founder, Dr. Samuelson (Cheryl Hines). Thinking that her husband could use a break, Frankie entices Mike to join her on the trip to experience the luxuries of a free mini vacation. Meanwhile, Axl informs a disapproving Sue that he’s going to move into her dorm room until he finds a new place of his own, and roles become reversed when Mike’s dad, Big Mike (John Cullum), agrees to watch over Brick while Frankie and Mike are out of town, on “The Middle,” WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 2 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

    “The Middle” stars Patricia Heaton as Frankie, Neil Flynn as Mike, Charlie McDermott as Axl, Eden Sher as Sue and Atticus Shaffer as Brick.

    Guest starring are Jack McBrayer as Dr. Goodwin, Cheryl Hines as Dr. Samuelson, John Cullum as Big Mike, Madison Kirkpatrick as Madison, Sarielle Arambulo as Kelly and John Colton as professor.

    Greg Grunberg has played several well-mannered characters in the past, but on CBS’ new comedy Life in Pieces, he’s taking a less wholesome turn.

    The TV veteran will guest star on an upcoming episode as Mikey, the nephew of Joan (Dianne Wiest) and a former hero to Greg (Colin Hanks) and Matt (Thomas Sadoski). Mikey was always “too cool” and ultimately a poor role model, and Joan is worried his presence will drag the family into his craziness.

    Instant Mom star Tia Mowry-Hardrict has been tapped for a major recurring role on Fox’s freshman drama Rosewood, which has received a full-season order.

    On the crime procedural starring Morris Chestnut as a private Miami pathologist, Mowry will play Cassie, a previously homeless teenage lesbian who has worked her way up to owning her own restaurant through drive and hard work. She is also Pippy’s (Gabrielle Dennis) childhood friend from a troubling and mysterious time in her past.
