Does Marvel have plans for Squirrel Girl? Things are starting to look that way as she has now been revealed as never having actually been a mutant. Marvel has been known to de-mutantize characters who are joining their cinematic universe (See Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver), could Squirrel Girl be following in their footsteps?
Squirrel Girl has never been a member of the X-Men, and doesn't really have ties to the mutant world...in fact she has more ties to the Avengers so her film rights may still be with Marvel.
Interestingly her trademark was also updated last year to include more then just her comic book appearances...And with Thanos coming up, the Avengers are going to need some professional help.
