  • 12:00 - Ash vs. Evil Dead - Bruce Campbell Interview with EW
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: So the tone of the Evil Dead films are all pretty different. What will the tone of the TV series be?
BRUCE CAMPBELL: I would say it’s going to be like itself. For the simple reason that all the movies are different, this is bound to be a little bit different also. It is a combination of horror and comedy. And every episode will have varying degrees of that. So we take the horror seriously, that’s for sure. But we had to tell Starz and remind them that, you know, these movies are not just straight horror — they’re a little weird. They’re not goofy. It’s not that sort of thing. But they will have a comedic edge to it.

We see you putting in dentures and a tightening up a mechanical girdle in the trailer. Is Ash’s age going to be a punch-line throughout?
Well, yeah. We’re not ignoring it. Even on set I refer to my other costars as the kids. We’re not dancing around it. We don’t have to break out the walker just yet, but Ash is definitely going to be a guy that is not really suited for the job.

Well, how sharp are his deadite-slaying skills? Has he lost a step?
I read an essay once how you should send the old guys into battle because they know what’s coming. If they get killed, they’ve already lived a long life, and they know what pain is. Ash is kind of like that. He’s the guy they actually need to send in there because he knows all their tricks. He’s clever in his own way and very resilient. So our team will definitely be challenged in every direction. Ash in is way over his head from the get-go.

  • 12:00 - The Bastard Executioner - Stephen Moyer EW Interview
What did you think about Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter doing a period drama like this?

I had heard about it probably a couple years ago, and I knew nothing about it other than its name, and that it was medieval. That probably goes for most people. Nobody really knew what it was, or what it was about, or just the fact that it was The Bastard Executioner. Truthfully I had no idea that when we met for coffee in January that it was going to be about this. We had finally found a window in our schedules when we could meet at the same time, and it led to this, so I was very happy. Most of the stuff that was coming my way was what I had done before. For me to get the chance to work with Kurt was very fortuitous.

    Your character is an advisor?

I am kind of a soldier who has elevated himself within the ranks to a position of power within the castle, and I’m the right hand to Lord Ventris, whose shire this is. He’s married a girl, the princess of the shire, and he and I, we’re soldiers together, and I was his corporal or sergeant, if you’d like, and he was the leader of the army. After the Scottish War, we joined together, and he’s become the Lord of Ventrishire, as it’s been called, and I’ve become his chamberlain. So when he is no more, as you will find out, I sort of start positioning myself to keep my role, because there’s no reason really for me to stay anymore other than she’s got nobody else in her ear who can show her how to run the shire. So I’m angling to stay within the shire.

  • 12:00 - YouTube Star Chester See To Topline ABC Family Dramedy From Maker Studios
Actor-musician Chester See, whose YouTube channel has 1.5 subscribers, is making a heading to traditional media with Over The Top, a dramedy series project set up at ABC Family. See is set to star in the project, which he will write and executive produce with John Strauss (There’s Something About Mary, Mozart In The Jungle) through Maker Studios. This is believed to be the first Maker project for a Disney TV network since Disney’s acquisition of the online video company.

Originally announced at Maker Studios 2014 newfront, Over The Top is based on See’s real life experiences and features him as a struggling artist trying to make a name for himself in the LA music scene. After a record deal fizzles and his hopes of stardom fall apart, he takes to YouTube and starts building a massive audience. In the vein of Entourage and Silicon Valley, the series documents the trials, tribulations, and triumphs of becoming a digital star. At the end of every episode, See or one of his co-stars— including other YouTubers with their own followings — would set up a camera and start recording a song or something else, which can immediately be found on Facebook or YouTube. Viewers will also be able to follow the characters’ adventures on Twitter, Instagram or Snapchat.

  • 12:00 - Masters of Sex - Season 3 - Interview + First Look at Judy Greer's Character

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Let’s start with your character, Alice. She leads a wealthy lifestyle with her husband, but she’s unhappy. Can you tell me about where her head is at as she heads to this dinner?

JUDY GREER: She’s very weary. This is a woman who does still believe in love and that her marriage can be saved, but she’s just really lost, she’s really lonely. I wonder what comes first, the chicken or the egg, like, I think she drinks because he cheats, and she’s sad and miserable, and I think he cheats because she’s sad and miserable and drinks … It’s interesting, Masters is the one who organized this dinner and he invited Alice on purpose. When she sees Virginia there, and sees the way her husband is talking about her, it just unravels her. She’s just like, dumbfounded that she’s sitting here at this table with this woman … And Masters is just enjoying being the puppeteer, and Dan is sort of trying to control Alice and her drinking what she’s saying. He’s also trying to stand up for Virginia because of how she was treated by Masters earlier in the day, and he’s challenging Masters. So I feel like everyone at the table has a real specific, but different agenda. Things really unravel quickly.
