CBS'S PRIMETIME LINEUP DELIVERING MORE VIEWERS THAN 11 YEARS AGO
Multi-Platform Viewing Boosts CBS's Primetime Lineup +3% Over 2003-2004 Season

CBS's Primetime Viewing Also Up +9% Versus Last Year

Through the first half of the 2014-2015 season, CBS’s primetime lineup is delivering more viewers than 11 years ago as multi-platform viewing grows, generating bigger audiences for the Network’s #1 lineup. [Full charts are attached below.]

“We knew the big shows would get a lot of time-shifted viewing, but now we're seeing meaningful gains across the entire schedule, which is very encouraging to us,” said David Poltrack, Chief Research Officer, CBS Corporation and President of CBS VISION. “We’re delivering more viewers per program than we did back in 2003. And for the record, we’re up from last year (2013-2014), too.”

CBS's 2014-2015 current roster of 24 programs viewed across linear television, DVR, video-on-demand and online streaming, is averaging 13,730,881 viewers, a +3% increase over 2003-2004's linear-only average of 13,384,008.

Even more impressively, all totals exclude various forms of non-linear unmeasured viewing, including viewership on mobile and over-the-top platforms such as CBS All Access and DVR playback after seven days.

While top-rated shows such as THE BIG BANG THEORY (23.19m), NCIS (22.47m), NCIS: NEW ORLEANS (19.67m), SCORPION (16.38m) and MADAM SECRETARY (15.97m) are the biggest beneficiaries of multi-platform viewing, programs across the entire schedule are gaining significant additional audience from delayed viewing this season.

CBS's multi-platform audience this season is also greater than its comparable multi-platform average a year ago, up +9% (13,730,881 from 12,622,320).
